Overall a good experience, nice location. The service staff seemed overwhelmed a bit, but tried to help all patrons quickly as can be. The food quality was good.

Coxinha (fried chicken pastry) 8/10 - the chicken inside was very good - The outside tasted like potato, the crispy outside was great Panelas Family Meal w/ 3 sides 10/10 - can feed three people - the steak was cooked to perfection, got it medium rare, not chewy, has a little bit of fat that is good - Steak is great with chimichuri sauce - Chicken was well grilled - Sausage was full of flavor Yucca fried 8/10 - a great alternative to potatoes - Definitely recommend trying Polenta Fried 10/10 - very tasty and paired well with the meat - Very crispy and soft on the inside Platanitos Fritos 10/10 - very good sweet banana - Paired great with the meats giving each bite a sweet taste Caipirinha lime & passionfruit 10/10 - pretty strong can give a light buzz - The lime and passionfruit mixed well with the alcohol Cachaca Cabare 7/10 - reminds me of hennessy, so if you like that you'd like this drink This is a spot worth trying! Everything's that I tried was great, we left very satisfied. Even though some of the items we got were fried, the food was very light. Our server Eva was very kind, friendly and attentive. She would explain menu items and gave us great recommendations. The atmosphere was very laid back and chill due to being by the beach. Love the sol cal vibes. There was no wait time when we went on a Sunday around 1 pm but it did start to pick up.

Golden Chicken with 3 sides Picanha Steak 10oz w/ 3 sides

The food was amazing! Highly recommend the Calabresa and Brazilian Picanha with the rice and veggies.

HAPPY HOUR: For those looking for good happy hours, this isn't it. We were drawn here and felt duped. The happy hour menu is misleading. It looks long but it's really an optical illusion. lol. It's just 3 random things across each day of the work week. 3 things we don't find inticing. No drink variety or food variety. No deals like the neighboring restaurants. DRINKS: Could they improve the beer menu a little? Modelo, Stella and 805 are like a blah grocery store's menu. FOOD: OK, adult steak is kinda fatty. KIDS: not kid friendly though they had kids meals. They perhaps wanted to help by cutting up the kids' steak. Bad that they choose to do this before they cook the steak, making waste of good meat that becomes rubbery to chew. My kids don't have the teeth to chew the overcooked. Which kid does? we won't bring kids again. I doubt we will visit again

Tri-tip sandwich

Our server was nice and friendly but the food was disappointing.. how do you serve this with no shame? got the flavorless tri-tip sandwich and there was barely any meat--probably better that way as the few pieces I got were dry and tough... the bread was huge and thick... fries were definitely frozen and fried yet barely warm... it was all very much hard to eat. Not sure I'd come back.

This was an amazing restaurant with delicious food. My Brazilian friend recommended it and said it was authentic and he did not lie. The service was great and it was nice to be near the beach. I highly recommend this place as it creates a nice atmosphere and it's fun to visit.

What a gem on the Hermosa Beach Pier! Panelas HB exceeded my expectations for a first visit. The service was absolutely amazing--attentive, friendly, and made me feel welcome from the start. The ocean view is incredible, offering the perfect beachside ambiance for a relaxing meal. I had a caipirinha that was perfection, paired with their delicious chicken plate (served with white rice, a fresh green salad, and crispy fries). Everything was so flavorful and cooked just right. If you're looking for great food, drinks, and stellar views, this is the place. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

The freshest and most flavorful place on the pier. I had the BBQ chicken with white rice and it was so well seasoned, even to-go.

Excellent food & service - made us feel welcome with a toddler and made sure his food came out fast and wasn't overly hot. Highly recommend!

I had a pretty solid positive outlook on them. I ordered the "French Toast Latte". I feel like it should have been called the Burnt toast latte. I genuinely took 3 sips and tossed it away in the trash can on the side walk. I tried to mix it and grabbed a straw to do so and it made it WORSE. I'm extremely disappointed that I wasted $7 on a latte. I've had bad coffees before, but this one took the cake. It tasted like milk, and the espresso tasted acidic, burnt have you. At least with other bad coffees I could stomach at least half of it but this was just really acidic. I noticed other people mentioning the coffee scene in LA isn't the same anymore and this attested to that. They started picking up foot traffic & I wasn't going to wait to ask for a remake or anything, I took the L and life moves on. I wasn't going to play Karen about it. The Lamington pastry somewhat saved the experience. This was an extremely moist, spongy, sweet cake that was delicious with coconut flakes on top. She was AMAZING. I snagged a piece off my friends and it was reeallllly good. I would recommend if you like coconut and a softer spongy cake like pastry! Talk about the underdog in this trip. The aesthetic is cute, it's clean and resembles a house. I like the scheme they have going on. The other half looks like a gift shop that I did not go into. They have a restroom available as well inside. Customer service was just customer service. Nothing amazing or bad about it. Pretty standard. We mentioned it's our first time & the girl didn't really care lol. We had questions and it was very whatever kind of vibe. No enthusiasm. Parking would be on the street so good luck!

Brian knows EVERYTHING about liquor, Caitlin and Tyler are epic bartenders (and Germano), and Lorenzo the manager is killing it! and the vibe is PERFECT (the best combo of lighting, music, bar staff, cocktails, food, atmosphere). I've been there every single weekend for the past 2 months. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Once I went next door to Ryla and was SO disappointed at their staff (made me feel like a burden), the food was SO mid, and it's not conducive to meeting people. Nothing compares to this place, and I've lived in Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Now Redondo Beach. Total hidden gem (not so hidden, but a total gem!)

It doesn't even look like a restaurant, just a building. We both arrived late, due to the parking situation, but she called and let the restaurant know we were going to be late. We both walked in a little after 10AM on Saturday. The gentleman asked us where we wanted to sit. He walked us to the main dining area, and I chose the first booth on the right. Perfect table. We ordered cocktails first. I ordered the Surfside. Pretty, delicious, and refreshing! The sliver of cucumber and yellow flower strategically placed. We ordered the spicy hummus and rosemary focaccia to start. Our waiter, Samson, also brought us an appetizer. Both were absolutely scrumptious. All the bread is homemade in the restaurant. The focaccia bread was soft and moist. Perfectly paired with the hummus. The appetizer was a light, flaky crust around cheese. My girlfriend had to order another one to go. For brunch, I ordered the Atta Girl Breakfast, which includes eggs, potatoes, 2 pieces of fried cheese, a pita, and small side of yogurt, sliced cucumber, grape tomatoes, and dill. So good. It's a modern take on Mediterranean food. Afterwards, we ordered the donut (holes) for dessert, which was also delicious. Fresh. Samson added a lighted candle in it for the birthday girl. Service was exceptional. He is well versed in the cocktail list and menu. Great recommendations. Parking: Good luck! That was why both of us were late to our reservation. We both had to drive around multiple times before we found parking. There are many metered parking spaces down the street and small parking lots on the side streets, but the weekends get busy in Hermosa Beach.

Florescent lights, shabby wood tables and chairs, plastic menus. This could either be really good or really bad. The bread feels stale and was hard. The butter is individually wrapped. Smashed dirty straws were served with drinks. Huge portions of decent food. The more you eat the more you realize it's not great. Definitely needs salt and pepper but the pepper shakers barely let anything out. I asked for parm (they do not offer!) and they gave it in plastic individual containers which was honestly offensive. Dessert was a huge miss, the creme brûlée was super eggy???? The tiramisu had like a sour milk after taste. My stomach immediately hurt before even leaving the restaurant. The vibes are overall not great and neither is the food. $160 for 3 people to eat. 2 stars are for the server who made a huge effort to accommodate us.
