I have been meaning to go here for a very long time. It's one of my daughter and son-in-law's favorite places. And I finally found out why. Just such a lovely experience. The food here is exceptional. It's a casual atmosphere, but super lovely decor. Staff is exceptional so attentive and warm. A large parking structure across the street but we were lucky enough to get parking just around the corner. From start to finish, everything was on point. We had the bottomless mimosas. Love the mix of their mango, orange juice, heavier on the mango. Elevated the mimosa. We had the white sesame Caesar, the edamame, Chirashi Donburi and cold smoked salmon nigiri. My daughter and son-in-law come here, often so the chef sent out several dishes +3 desserts. I love the edamame., The smoked salmon, Nigeria, the quality and fresh fish, the attention of detail in the presentation and the dynamic flavor combinations. I can't wait to go back!
I had such a great experience at RYLA. You can really taste the quality of ingredients in every dish--it's clear a lot of care goes into the menu. The must-order is the milk bread. It's unbelievably buttery on its own, but the butter spread takes it to another level entirely. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. The snap peas salad was another standout--light, refreshing, and full of flavor. On top of the food, the staff is extremely nice and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. The space itself has a sense of elegance without feeling over the top, making it perfect for both a casual night out or something a little more special. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.
Previous visited here and the service and food fell flat. Jimmy (GM) stepped up and went above and beyond any other restaurant. Overall, the second experience from service and food was on-point. I've eaten here twice now and both times I have to say the food is pretty good. I like the ambiance of the place, especially the back room is nicely decorated. The brunch that we went to last time, I really enjoyed it, especially the souffle pancake. It gets pretty busy so you got to go with that. They got valet parking and there's some parking garages nearby that you can self park.
Asian fusion (I think either mostly or just Japanese) restaurant located in Hermosa Beach and adjacent to the always seemingly busy Hermosa Pier. They do dinner service during the week and have an early service on Saturdays and Sundays (as of /2026). My friends and I have came here for breakfast on a weekend, so I had a more laid-back beach vibe to the place. Especially since we sat outside with a dog in tow. The decor looks like it's probably feels a little more upscale at night though. We got seated pretty much right away and the service here is super friendly. I don't think they usually offer it for breakfast/brunch but I really wanted to try the Hokkaido Milk Bread dish and we were able to order it! So delicious. Lots of delicious savory flavor in that dish. I also ordered the Japanese pancake, which was also really good. Overall, I really enjoyed our experience in our meal. Definitely would love to come back and try their lunch or dinner.
First time trying this place as part of DineLA, and unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. Overall, a cute vibe/atmosphere for girls' night/date night, but food-wise, could have been much better. Spicy Tuna Handroll: standard, but the seaweed tasted a little stale. Not sure if it was sitting for a bit before getting served to us or not.. Nashville Spiced Hot Chicken Karaage: great flavor, but poorly battered/fried. The chicken was a bit dry and not really crispy. 3 Cup Wild Black Cod: SO SALTY! This was the most disappointing dish of them all. Although the flavor was okay, this dish was just drenched in sauce. There was a bit of rice under the cod and sauce, but it was practically inedible since it was so salty. Not to mention, at a place like this, I would have expected the cod to be deboned, but it was not. Black Truffle Fried Rice: just a standard fried rice, truffle flavor was very mild, so I wish it were a little more flavorful. Grilled Skirt Steak: This was the best dish of the night! Loved the caramelization on the sweet potato, and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. great flavors. If I were to get anything again, it would definitely be this dish! Meiji Soy Milk Pudding: great panna cotta/pudding, but the sauce on top was a bit too sweet for my liking. Hojicha Cocktail: Tasted like a standard hojicha latte, nothing special, so I would probably get something else next time instead. Reservations were made, but we were seated half an hour later. Throughout the entire dinner, our server only came to check on us once, and it was pretty hard even getting a hold of them. Granted, they seemed pretty busy, so I understand.
The shoyu ramen was good, the greens in it weren't traditional and I didn't love them. There aren't a lot, so it's not a big deal. The drinks are super unique and I had a hard time deciding what to get. I ordered the Herby Bangkok and it was very light and refreshing. Very balanced. The sushi was good. The salmon was fresher than most sushi places. I usually don't like salmon bc it has to be premium quality or it's texture is slimy and the taste is too fishy for me. Here is not the case it was my favorite roll. The salmon was fresh, light and delicious. The spicy tuna was good and the dragon roll as well. Nothing missed the mark. Would go back.
Ryla has been on my list for years, and finally went after deciding to pair a beach day with some good food for our anniversary. Reservations were easy to make, and We showed up on a Saturday for lunch with flip flops and sandals, and tote bags with stuff for the beach. Inside multiple tables nicely decorated (love the bird wallpaper!), with what looked like a section that could be converted into a private room if needed. Received amazing service from Kim! We had a long lunch and we're never disturbed, and she gave us some NA white wine (?) that was sweet and tasty to celebrate our anniversary. Great services bumps this place up to 5 stars! We ordered off the Easter brunch menu, which essentially came out to free drinks -- iced matcha was perfectly sweetened and balanced the matcha flavor. Between the two of us we shared (and were stuffed): -prime rib donburi- the meat was extremely tender, but I dont like horseradish so the horseradish sauce on the side was a no go for me. Without the sauce, the dish tasted a bit bland, wished I'd asked for some furikake or something. Would not order if you dont like horseradish. -Japanese curry pie - basically a curry pan but pot pie size. Curry beef was so good, hard to go wrong with Japanese curry -Japanese pancake - not your typical souffle pancakes, these were described as being more cake-like which i thought I'd like more, but it ended up a tad drier than I would've liked, definitely need a lot of the sauce to make it moist. - carrot cake - perfect sweetness, comes with a small scoop of Thai tea ice cream that paired nicely Parking sucks, we walked quite a ways from where the free street parking was. Convenient location if you're near the hermosa beach pier
Ryla is a nice restaurant for impressing out of towners or a date. It features a menu with many tasty items, though some far more tasty than others. Service was attentive in the beginning, but fell off a little toward the end of the meal. This is probably because they are quite busy during dinner service and may be understaffed sometimes. Make sure you get a reservation as seats fill up quick. I was able to get squeezed in reserving the day before, but your mileage may vary. I though the yellowtail sashimi was by far the best item we ordered. Presentation and flavor wise it hit all the right notes, a perfect dish. Other rolls were less memorable. I liked the yuzu Hokkaido roll - but I am a particularly avid yuzu lover. Others may find other offerings more appealing. I would say the fried rice is well made - the flavors are good and the technique is definitely there - but it is still just fried rice. The noodles I had were also nice, but had an obscene amount of butter. It was another similar case with the matcha tiramisu. Well made technique wise, but just a little too sweet for my taste, covering up the flavor of the matcha a little bit with sickly sweetness. If I were to make any recommendation, I would say to stick with the sushi. Overall, a fantastic restaurant, but not for those on a budget. Definitely one of the nicer places in Redondo to get sushi a la carte.
The second I walk in I'm immediately calm and relaxed in this space any time of day, even the bathroom is cute! Spirits are top shelf and signature cocktails are delicious but some are seasonal, ask the servers for recs. Not many late night HH's in the South Bay, this is THE spot! After 9 pm head to the bar top for their special menu with offerings of rolls, skewers, ramen, and other small bites! Their fish and meats always are packed with flavor and melt in your mouth. Their food and service is excellent overall, but their brunch menu is so unique you must try it! I get the fluffy Japanese Pancake every time, and when I bring new friends I order the Pop Tart for the table. There's something for everyone from the breakfast fried rice to sushi. The Matcha Tiramisu or Ube Ice Cream is the perfect end to any meal you have here! read more
Came here for the first time with my boyfriend for a date night and it was honestly the perfect experience. The ambiance was amazing -- I love a low-lit restaurant for dinner and RYLA absolutely nailed it. The food itself was incredible and there honestly wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. We ordered the bread rolls, Korean short ribs, scallop roll, nigiri (salmon, yellowtail, Hokkaido scallops, and tuna), and the shoyu ramen. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. And the attentiveness of the entire staff was incredible. Such an incredible spot and we can't wait to come back! read more
I loved dining here! It's such a nice, cozy spot with amazing sushi rolls and great cocktails. I came in after 9 and was beyond impressed with service and hospitality. I had the Spyder roll and would definitely come back just for that. The crab in the roll was sooo good and great portions! read more

This place was tasty don't get my wrong, but it was very pricey. Service was great, and the ambiance is very chill and great for business dinners or dates. Menu and selection was good, I would come back but wouldn't rush to come back anytime soon. Be prepared to spend ~$100/person read more

The ambiance in there was nice! Low lit vibe with a bar and music. The food was good but didn't blow me away. I tried the dragon roll, miso ramen, and pork entree. Service was mid, the drinks took forever to arrive and the waitress didn't come to check in that often. read more

Had dinner here. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, white sesame Caesar salad, Nashville hot chicken karaage, Korean spare ribs, and pork belly bao buns. Every dish came out looking great and tasted just as good. The spicy tuna roll was fresh with a nice kick. Not too spicy. The white sesame Caesar was light but flavorful, with a nutty twist that made it stand out. The Nashville hot chicken karaage had a perfect crunch and heat that built just enough. Would have liked more heat. The Korean spare ribs were tender and packed with flavor, easily one of the highlights. The pork belly bao buns were soft, rich, and balanced by the pickled toppings. Service was polished but relaxed, and the space had a lively, modern vibe without feeling crowded. Everything felt well thought out, from the flavors to the pacing of the meal. I visited Ryla for my anniversary, and overall it was a really nice experience. The ambiance was beautiful and set a great tone for a special occasion. The food was definitely the highlight everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. The only reason for 4 stars is the service, which felt a bit disorganized at the beginning. Even with a reservation, we had to wait longer than expected to be seated, which wasn't ideal for a special night. However, once we were at the table, the experience improved. Overall, it was still a memorable evening, and I would come back for the food and atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice outing, especially if you're planning something special. read more
December 2025 - Reservation for three people on a Saturday afternoon. The place was busy but still had plenty of free tables. Food/Pricing - Yuzu Sun $18.00 - Strong but tasty. Yellowtail Hiramasa Sashimi $29.50 - Refreshing but had too much onion on top of it in my opinion. Korean Spare Ribs $24.00 - Absolutely delicious and was so tender it was literally falling off the bone. Blistered Market Green Beans $18.00 - Had tofu at the bottom. Overall the dish was good but very salty. Spicy Pork and Shrimp Noodles $25.00 - If you like numbing spice (like I do) you'll certainly enjoy this dish. I was disappointed however that the shrimps were not whole and we're just pieces, same with the bok choy. The menu makes it seem like you'll be getting while pieces of vegetables and shrimp but they cut it to thirds or smaller. Yellowtail Collar $17.00 - Lots of bone but other than it was very tender and yummy. Service/Ambiance - Service was prompt but not necessarily friendly. They come in to check on you often but once you reach past an hour they might become passive aggressive like one snooty gentleman who was dressed in black. He came to check on us twice and on the second time I let him know we were still working on the food, at that moment he blatantly checked his watch and made a disapproving face. I would understand if there was a time limit clearly stated but there were none. I was having a good time and enjoying the ambiance until that experience. Had dinner here the other night and enjoyed literally all we ordered. The ambiance was nice. It was well-decorated for the season and lighting was dimmed. The music selection was great! Our server gave us great recommendations and I'm grateful. I just love how they have a little bit of everything on their menu. My first visit to Ryla was the evening before Thanksgiving. Typically you may not receive great service or food for the holiday. My Mom, adult son and I went to celebrate the holiday. EVERY SINGLE BITE was beyond delicious!!! It was EPIC!! Oysters: I am not a huge fan but I will eat them. My son wanted the half dozen so I said I would eat one. After my first bite, I told him I was eating my "half"!! No ocean taste, no sand/grit, no slime...just tender, firm oysters with a wonderful yuzu sauce and scallions. I have been thinking of them since (it's been about ten days!!) Korean ribs: these were so tender and flavorful that we ordered a second plate. Mind blowing! Salmon avocado roll: it was good but I think we were so slap happy over the other two appetizers, this was mild. Ribeye steak: my son had this and it was also extremely tender and full of yumminess!!! Black truffle fried rice with Chinese sausage: my Dad was Chinese so I grew up eating this sausage. It can be overpowering and salty. However, the flavors were so well balanced in this dish! We were glad the server suggested my son order this with the steak. Black cod: Mom and I each had this. Served over sticky rice with bok choy and mushrooms with a tasty glaze IN A STONE BOWL, it stayed hot! Great call!! It was also a nice portion of fish! We were STUFFED, but who can say no to dessert?!?! Matcha tiramisu: best tiramisu I have ever had. Heavenly. White chocolate apple tart: I am not an apple tart fan, but my family enjoyed it. Ube ice cream: convinced Mom she had to try it. She was very hesitant but in the end, didn't leave a DROP in the bowl!! Cocktails: three at our table but we have to say this is where we weren't super impressed. We just know to focus on food only in the future. Service: both the server and busser were fabulous!!! My fiancé and I came here based on a Yelp search of a romantic restaurant in hermosa beach. Our visit was on a Thursday for dinner just after he proposed . To our surprise for a week night, street parking was still limited and parked in the structure. Had I known this place would have been this popular on a weekday, I would have made a reservation. Our options for seating was outside or at the bar, unless we wanted to wait and hour for indoor. Those who were at the front desk was just ok, I didn't feel welcomed there. Our server however was very friendly, helpful and very attentive. The yellow tail shashimi was delicious and was our only dish I was impressed with, but was not expecting it to be on sweet side. The yellowtail was quality and fresh. The spicy pork and shrimp noodle and karage fried chicken came out together. Both tasted good , but since we ate them Together we couldn't tell which one of the too was on the salty side for our pallet. The noddles were tasty and texture was soft but they kept sticking to each other. Would I go back, I am not sure as I did not leave impressed or loving my meal to Me this place was just mediocre and overpriced for what it really was . read more
Never in all my life since someone told the restaurant it was my birthday- did I ever receive a handwritten signed birthday card from the restaurant team. The food was beyond amazing but imma frame this card to be memorialized forever. Every bite was exquisite and every moment of service made us so happy and cared for. Delicious food, wonderful specialty cocktails, tasteful atmosphere, and phenomenal service! Loved the lamp champs with good sized portion and delicious dipping sauce. 3 cup black cod was well flavored and excellently prepared but portions perhaps understandably were smaller and flavor is a bit on the sweeter side. Huge fan of the Grandma's cigarette cocktail! Smokey yet well balanced. Definitely looking forward to having this again. Service was wonderful. We found street parking right in front of the restaurant but looks like right next door there is valet parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outside has really cute floral decor and inside has a nice chic ambience. We tried the Japanese pancake, lobstah roll and ramen. Everything tasted good but my favorite was the lobstah roll. The staff was very friendly and to my surprise very kid friendly as well. read more
Ryla is a decent Japanese-adjacent restaurant, but you definitely pay more for the mood lighting and the fake plants on the wall. We ordered from the weekend brunch menu and started with a few appetizers. The Lobstah roll has a mildly funny name and also a mild flavor. But $32 for eight small pieces is not a mild price. I preferred both the crunchy chicken kaarage and the tuna poke tostada to it. This was probably the most shareable tostada I've had, and the fish was impressive. For mains, I think the tonkatsu sando is your best bet. It comes with some inventive taro chips too. Ultimately, their strength is in variety: you can have eggs Benedict if you want brunch, you can have yuzu shio ramen if you want to stick with the Japanese theme. So it's good for groups, especially ones with picky eaters. read more
Decided to check out Ryla for a sibling night out and was pretty impress with the quality of the dishes! The price is definitely on the higher end, but we went because of the Infactuation deal with Chase Sapphire Preferred card. What we ordered: Hokkaido Milk Bread - one of my favorite dish of the night! Toasty and buttery milk bread Blair's well with the tobiko spread! Hot Chicken Karaage - classic chicken karaage that is crispy with a kick! Personally, it could use a little more heat but still very good! Korean Spare Ribs - the ribs were so tender that fell of the bone! Nice coating of guchujang seasoning! Black Truffle Ride Rice - classic Chinese style fried rice! It was good but I wish the truffle flavor is a bit more prominent (considered the high price) Ribeye Steak - the steak was definitely the high light I of the meal! So juicy and tender - you can tell it is a high quality piece of steak! Love the side of sweet potato! We wanted to try the lamb chop and the matcha tiramisu, but both sold T-T! The service was friendly, as our server was so nice and attentive! There was a little wait even with the reservation, but it wasn't too bad! We got seat at the patio outside, so it was cool seeing people walking pass the restaurant. Inside is really nice and fancy with dim lights and Japanese inspired decors! Ryla is a coastal Californian Asian fusion eatery with a unique menu and a gorgeous dining environment. This spot is located just minutes away from the Hermosa Beach Pier. For parking, there is a parking garage across the street or metered street parking around the neighborhood. Reservations are highly recommended as spots do tend to book up fast. Wifey and I had a dinner reservation for 8pm and were seated right away. Inside, they have a spacious setup with a dimly lit and aesthetic interior. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different appetizers, entrees, sushi roll, and ramen dishes to choose from. We ended up getting spread consisting of the Hokkaido Milk Bread, Corn Fritters, Korean Style Spare Ribs, Dragon Roll, Pork Tonkatsu, and the Ribeye Steak. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and everything tasted delicious. All of the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Came through with Mom and pup to try their DineLA menu. It was the perfect SoCal weather for outdoor dining, and their location - a couple minutes' walk to the beach - made it even better! Made reservations (requested patio seating since we had my fur baby with us) to avoid a wait. We arrived a few minutes early but got seated immediately. Danny came out with water and almost immediately. Kim, our server, also presented us with the menus not too long after. We were pretty decided with what we wanted so it didn't take long before our orders were put in. LIGHTLY SEARED SALMON: Not part of the DineLA menu but I had to have it. The sear added to the taste and the fish was fresh. Great starter. LAVAZZA COFFEE: So... I'm not a coffee drinker and I should have told them to skip mine, but it was poured before I got the chance to say anything. I didn't want to waste it, so I had some. Can't say anything about it more than it's coffee. (Whoooo, it sure kept me awake all day!) JAPANESE EGG SALAD AVOCADO TOAST: I was going to slice it in smaller pieces for easy bites. Jokes on me: they came sliced already! It was creamy, savory, seasoned perfect and delicious. The toasted bread held the toppings well. Overall taste and texture was excellent. TUNA POKE TOSTADA: Just a warning, each bite has a kick from the thinly sliced Serrano chiles. It got a bit hot after a couple of bites so we removed some of them slices. Served on a crispy tostada, tuna was the star of this plate. The mix of avocado, furikake and all the other sidekicks enhanced its flavor. Yum! PORK BELLY EGGS BENEDICT: So I expected a slice (or two) of bacon, but these came with a thick, well seasoned slabs of pork. The eggs were nicely poached. Never had yuzu hollandaise - it was creamy and had a light tart flavor. I took bits and pieces of everything with each bite and all the flavors came nicely. That fresh arugula served as a palate cleanser at the same time. GET THIS! SHOYU RAMEN: This was Mom's choice of main. I had a taste of the broth and thought it was on the salty side. She said she liked it, so that's what counts! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 5. Kim and Danny for the win! They're fun, they're friendly, they're awesome! VALUE: 5. Thank you, Dine LA! PARKING: Valet for $10 good for two hours. Metered street parking also available. It will be a challenge during summer, even more so on the weekends. If you're in a time crunch, opt for valet. OVERALL: 5. I couldn't tell they had outdoor seating when I drove by, but when I walked up to check in, there it is! It has a cool overall design - I felt like I was indoors, but I wasn't. (Not sure if that makes sense!) There are only a few tables available, so make reservations if opting to eat at the patio area. We were done a little over an hour, and with time left in valet, so we walked through the bars and other eateries and shops all the way to the pier and got a bit of ocean air. it really was a nice day! I might take Hubbers next time and check out eating indoors. Looking forward to that next run. read more
I went during Dine LA and the set menu was super filling. I loved the Benedict egg ! it was perfectly cooked. We also ordered the whole bread as an extra because my friend highly recommended it, and it did not disappoint. The dipping sauce was amazing. Service was very caring and attentive, and the ambience was really beautiful, which made the whole experience even better. read more

I ate at RYLA again with my family on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is located near the Hermosa Beach Pier, and has a modern, classy vibe inside. There's a small parking lot next to it with valet, or you can park across the street in the structure. I started off with the blue pool oysters on the half shell. They were so delicious! A bit citrusy and very refreshing. I also ordered from their Dine LA menu and had their spicy tuna handroll, white sesame caesar salad, wild alaskan halibut, and Meiji soy milk pudding. Their caesar salad is one of my favorite dishes here. The white sesame flavor is a fresh take, and I love anchovies so it was an easy choice. The halibut was cooked perfectly, so tender. And the red curry coconut broth it's served with was divine! Because of my diet, I gave the soy milk pudding to my dad, but he said it was really good and finished every bite. The restaurant also surprised my mom with a special dessert for her birthday, and all the staff signed a birthday card for her. They're so sweet! read more
DineLA week and went to Ryla for Sunday Brunch. Amazing! Tried the Tuna tostada, Japanese pancake, egg salad on avocado toast, pork belly Benedict, steak and eggs and the savory Japanese crepe - all delicious! Service was excellent. I highly recommend! read more

First time to RYLA Hermosa Beach... Valentine's Day multi-course dinner along with wine and sake pairing experience was the best. Great ambience! Our server Jessica was very sweet, friendly and just amazing - made us feel so comfortable. What a fun evening! The chef's associate that explained the dishes was incredibly knowledgeable; and in summary, the food was delicious. Glad we made early reservations on a Sunday to catch a comedy show nearby because the restaurant filled up. Great moody, stylish feel inside with attentive service at the beginning of the dinner. Our group of 4 ordered - Hokkaido milk bread Maryland soft shell crab bao buns Korean style spare ribs Nashville spiced hot chicken karage Black truffle fried rice Wild Alaskan halibut The food was excellent especially the halibut which was tender and moist. The other favorites were the Korean spareribs, Nashville chicken karage and truffle rice which were very tasty. We loved everything about the food, ambience and service except at the end, when it was busy, our server disappeared. But we would definitely return when we're in the area again. read more
This was a fun place to dine. We were seated right away even though our party was incomplete. I blame the parking situation! A summer evening at the beach equals a parking scarcity. RYLA has a private lot but it was full to capacity when we arrived. The wait staff were friendly and efficient, and happy to answer our questions. We ordered a lot of food to share amongst 6 adults. Some memorable standouts: Hokkaido bread was a hit! Farmers Market roll was unexpectedly tasty. Watermelon salad was refreshing. The proportion was a bit off as it was more tomato than watermelon. I also think the tomatoes could have been cut into smaller pieces. Karaage was seasoned well and not spicy. Tteokbokki in vodka sauce. I don't tend to order tteokboki at a Korean resto as I'm not really fond of the sauce. Obviously, this is a fusion dish. It's more like mochi dumplings in a vodka sauce. Or, if you didn't know, you may think it's gnocchi. All in all, I think this was my favorite dish of the night. That sauce was so good! Enjoy! read more
Wow. This place has exceptional vibes and energy. I fell in love with Ryla immediately when I walked in. It has a romantic, dark, but lively feeling inside. They also participate in dine LA where you pay $55 for a set meal but there is still options with it that you can choose from. I can't remember who my server was last night but she was wonderful. She was the perfect server for my girls night. The food and cocktails are great. I suggest making a reservation here, especially on a weekend night! Arrive early as well, parking gets difficult in Hermosa specifically around the summer time. Perfect restaurant, I can't wait to come back! read more
WAIT TIME: Made reservations for 8pm HOSTESS (ENTRY): 5/5 Beyond nice and working hard. We felt so bad for her because we could see her multitasking (while killing it at it) , working super hard with a smile. We loved her hustle. She was managing all of the customers coming in while getting tables cleared and paid and while trying to make sure customers were not upset for waiting for a table. She really did it all. She handled it with grace. NOTE: To patrons... be kind. Be patient. Restaurants do what they can to accommodate everyone. Sometimes the wait is so much worth than complaining. FOOD: 5/5 HEAT OF FOOD: 5/5 TASTE OF FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 5/5 impeccable SERVER NAME: we had three awesome people... Serena, Patrick and Cristen or Crystin (gooo 49ers!!!) this trio was awesome. She checked in at all the right times making sure we loved the food and drinks and enjoyed our time. Serena is a gem. Like I always say.... Had you wanting more and more. -Chicken Teriyaki Skewers 2pc - very delicious -Japanese Style Spicy Sausages - good protein snack -2 Piece Big Eye Tuna Nigiri - delicious -Hokkaido Milk Bread tobiko non spread - now this was a surprise. Who knew bread could taste so heavenly. And the spread.... My goodness ... this was like a SIN!!! It melted in your mouth. Had the Signature Grandma's Cigarettes which was Bancha Tea Infused Suntory Toki Whisky, Laphroaig 10yr Haze, Ginger Liqueur, Honey and Lemon. I ordered a Cosmo. Also ordered the Banana Bread For President and You Only Live Twice. Drinks were delicious. Devine!!! We want to come back and try EVERYTHING on the menu. We will definitely be back for the DineInLA and be back for more. From welcoming to service to drinks and food... this place deserves all the stars. What is the noise level?
At peak dinner rush it can be loud. There is a thumping music loop and the din of diners bouncing off the wood floor and plaster walls. The food makes up for it. I thought it would too crazy but it wasn't. Go early and eat everything.
Are there gluten free options?
Yes, my wife is gluten free and the wait staff was pretty knowledgeable about her options.
How is it for young kids?
I didn't notice a kids menu but definitely have seen families dine in.
Ok for solo dining? Bar seating?
Yes! The bar is beautiful and they serve the full menu.
Can you bring your own wine? If so, what is the corkage fee? Thanks!
