Had a fantastic experience at this cute little restaurant! It's at a great location right by the beach with such nice and cozy ambiance. 09/04/26 We were on weekend get away right after work, book a Airbnb at Alma. Didn't have dinner but walk into this hidden gem sushi restaurant. My boyfriend order the 9sushi and I had the 6 sushi all are very fresh and delicious. Definitely the service are superb made us feel we were in Japan. Eating in front of the chef I enjoyed it very much get to have few conversations with chef Jack and Victor, know that this place was open in December very new. You can see the friendly environment of the wall people get to write or draw its very interesting decorations. At the end we get to draw and write our name. This Cute little corner sushi spot is a hit in Manhattan. They dont have a huge menu but everything they offer is excellent quality and served with care. If you're more of a roll connoisseur they a few unique rolls but you will not find a large array of choices. The sushi and Nigiri are what to aim for. I was especially into the Garlic Beef Kasu-Udon - a hearty noodle dish for two to share - and the Raw Spring Roll - refreshing, saucey, and perfectly prepared. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was decent - I would opt for a different fish next time. The Scallop Cut Roll was also good, not stellar. Next time, I'll invest in more nigiri selections instead. Our family loves Japanese food and we are walking distance to this new neighborhood spot. It's small and clean and reminded us of our travels to Japan. The food is fresh and well presented.We went early and were seated quickly.Reservation are taken and highly recommended. We ordered multiple dishes. The sushi rolls and hand rolls delicious and fresh. The udon a winner - the broth is divine. Tempura delicious the chicken and shrimp coated perfectly. Not too heavy and just the right crunch. All the sauces that were served flavorful and added to the dish. One suggestion is to have a small menu for children and some kid chopsticks. This is a relatively new sushi restaraunt. Honestly couldnt ask for better. Sushi was very good quality, and the rest of the items I ordered was very good too. They also had a good selection of alcohol. What surprised me the most was their 9 piece plate for 45 dollars (as of the date of this review). 5 per piece is a bargain, ive seen worse prices for less than decent sushi before. My only small complaint was that the rice was unseasoned. But didnt really take away from the taste. read more

Came here because it's a new restaurant and wanted to see if it was any good. We arrived for dinner a bit early, somewhat empty around 5:30. We were really impressed. The sushi was very good, miso soup had some onions in it which was an interesting touch and delicious addition. There was a sommelier who suggested some really delicious imported wine. Such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be so accommodating to our toddler. They brought him a toddler fork and spoon without us even asking and were happy to cut up his chicken, which made the whole meal so much easier for us. Everyone was patient, kind, and genuinely welcoming, making dining out feel relaxed instead of stressful. The sushi was fresh and delicious, but the thoughtful service really stood out. It's not always easy to find a place that's this family-friendly while still serving great food. We went to Jack Manjio on a Friday night and had a great experience. It was busy enough to feel lively but not packed, which was perfect. All the nigiri we ordered were excellent, super fresh and really well done. Honestly, we thought the nigiri here were better than the nearby, always-packed Katsuya, and without the long wait or the hassle of trying to get a reservation. We actually prefer this place to Katsuya. We were a little worried this might just be a rebrand of the previous restaurant (Fansea Sushi), which we weren't big fans of, but it's definitely not. This feels like a totally new restaurant, and we're officially fans. Service was great: friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the meal.
