very cute tiny place! the sushi was amazing and they had fresh wasabi, as many place don't use fresh ones. I got the salmon roll and it was so good and filling. Would recommend this place as the service was great!

Wow! What a great experience. The sushi is 10/10 it's all about their preparation, quality, freshness. I feel like it melts in your mouth. Definitely, one of the best sushi's in the South Bay. David was a true star! He is one of the nicest servers I met. He made our experience 20/10 Thank you for going over and beyond. It's a takeout spot which I didn't know because in the past we would dine-in. Overall, if you want amazing sushi you won't be disappointed.

We are back baby! I don't know what happened but the best sushi in Manhattan Beach is back. They closed for a remodel? They have everything online now, which is convenient for ordering. But not for the weekends. I don't live in Manhattan and they only have delivery options on the weekends, but they don't deliver to my area. The service fee they add now is pretty hefty 10%. Which is no joke considering the price, plus tax, service fee and tip. They do send coupons and have rewards you can redeem. Those basically negate the service fee and a little more.

We went there expecting a nice sitting area with a server but it was not how we expected, if you are looking for take out you might like it,however sushi was good but the dumplings were not as good as we thought. Very small place to eat there though :)

    Chirashi. Yum!

Love their fresh fish and is still my favorite place. They are closed Monday and Tuesday, so other times I was out there I wasn't able to go there. They used to have a few seats available to eat there, but now they are exclusive take-out. The fish is still amazing.

Pisces sushi is like no other! I have a couple of favorites, the Toro is an indulgent experience, it's smooth, rich, and melts in your mouth as soon as you taste it- I love the delicate, bright flavor of their 2 pc Shiromi, it's so light and tangy, it really perks up and energizes your palette! Their chirashi bowls are very generous; their perfectly seasoned sushi rice pairs so well with the ample fish cuts, I actually feel spoiled any time I receive them. Kioshisan takes great care on masterfully preparing each cut (to order, mind you), it's obvious this has been a labor of love for him and Sarasan over the years; we are blessed to be able to experience it! Thanks for re-opening and the care that is carried over in to delivering a wonderful experience to all those who love and support Pisces

The place is great and has great work ethic staff .... Great service will be coming back soon keep up the amazing work. Yup

On business travel near LAX and came here not realizing it was take out only. Hesitated only slightly then ordered a spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll and salmon sashimi which I ate on the beach. Quality as well as size of portions stood out, particularly the very large and reasonably priced salmon. Only slight complaint was seasoning is on the heavier side but freshness of fish and quality of rice and other preparations makes it a 5 star, thanks !!!

It was prepared table side and was just incredible. Our server Kelly was amazing! Loved her great recommendations, and she constantly checked in with us. Her German/Ecuadorian heritage coincided with an upcoming World Cup match, so having her as our server was extremely fortuitous. The restaurant ambiance is simple yet welcoming along the main road. Parking was a little crowded but we found street parking not far away. I love how they have a waitlist and how food came out really quickly. They have their own special soy sauce recipe! We ordered some takeout food on the side and Kelly was on top of it all. Thanks to Kelly, the delicious food and fast service, this place is exceptional and gets high marks for me. I highly recommend checking out this place.

Hidden in plain sight, Kagura is a top tier Japanese dining experience. It should be noted that this place is more $$$ than it is $$, and that's a compliment. I dropped $50+ here and it was easy to say it was worth it. I treat myself to the Kagura Gozen chef especial that was limited on how many was served per day and a Orion Okinawa draft beer. Plus, I had leftovers. The chef special came with more-than-a-little of everything. Each dish was unique and delicious. I was treated to a full spread of amazing Japanese cuisine. Sashimi was fresh, katsu was thick and juicy with a lightly breaded crust, eel was flavorful and soft, and the soba noodles were perfect. The restaurant is clean and beautifully laid out. I got vibes of actually being in Japan. If you have a reservation, you can get a private booth. The attractive staff were fantastic. Friendly and fast. This time, I noticed this location offers special Gozen set meals that I hadn't seen before. They had a limited Dinner Gozen on the menu with only 10 sets available each night. It was a huge meal and I was honestly surprised I managed to finish the whole thing. I really enjoyed it because you get to try so many different items in one meal. If you're like me and love Japanese food, this is a great way to sample a little bit of everything without having to order a bunch of separate dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the quality was excellent. The restaurant itself isn't very big, so it can get pretty busy. They do take reservations though, which I'd recommend if you're planning to come during dinner. Overall, I really enjoyed this special Gozen meal and would definitely come back. It was a fun experience and a great value for the variety and quality of food you get.

With the USA getting a massive FIFA win, my New York Knicks finally taking home the NBA Finals Championship, and the Carolina Hurricanes defeating the Vegas Knights for the Stanley Cup, my friends and I needed a top-tier spot to celebrate. There was no question we were heading straight to Dash Dashi in Manhattan Beach. Located right near the pier on Manhattan Ave, Dash Dashi perfectly blends that laid-back South Bay coastal energy with incredibly refined sushi. We walked in buzzing from the games, and the staff matched our energy perfectly. The service here is always attentive and friendly. We kicked off the celebration with a round of their premium chilled sake and an order of their spicy garlic edamame. Do yourself a favor and do not skip the edamame--the hot spice blend is dangerously addictive and pairs perfectly with the sake. But let's talk about the main event.
