FEEL GOOD! this is a serious mom and pop small hole in the wall A few tables for eating in A nice tv with the food channel on My poke bowl had everything you typically can get on it. Custom made by me. The owners run it. Service is slower. But it felt real good to chill Watch tv And eat in Listening to the owners chit chat and rumble in the kitchen. Fresh healthy food. Price point is up there since it close to lax airport. Patronizing an honest working couple doing a great job of customer service. They remember repeat customers with a smile and remembering their last order. Very homey feeling. I'll be back. Why only 4 stars? It's not the food. It's older and rundown budget location Fish and toppings 5 stars.

It was hot, but no wisps of steam greeting my nose. The rice is good, nice and sushi quality with an excellent mouth feel but the meat itself was lacking a bit. It wasn't extremely tender but it did have whatever savory flavor it was doused with on the grill. The vegetables are standard. Boring with a touch of vinegarette. I wasn't wowed by the experience, but there are certainly good aspects of my meal and I can't say anything actively made me want to stop eating.

It's mainly rice with little of any fish. Disappointing. Would not recommend

This place is a must try! Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the beef bulgogi plate, dumplings, and kimchi, and every bite was packed with flavor. The beef bulgogi was tender, well-seasoned, and the portion was definitely enough to share. On top of the great food, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It's always nice to find a place that delivers both amazing food and excellent service. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking this place out! read more

I love Roll and Grill! This is my favorite restaurant in El Segundo! My mother and I eat here so often, sometimes multiple meals a day. The Poke is delicious, the sushi is fresh and the Korean food is great! I like the spicy pork with a side of kimchi. The best part is the owner John and his wife. They are such genuinely kind people and really care about their customers. They are like family! Nice simple atmosphere for a quick bite to eat. Nothing fancy, just fresh good food for people on the go! read more

We ordered their poke bowls, spicy pork and rainbow roll. The poke bowl with the house sauce was so tasty. Normally a korean spicy pork plate would cost over $17 these days, but at $14 it was great deal as well as being delicious. My wife loved the rainbow roll which had quality fish and a perfect amount of rice. The owners were incredibly friendly and made our first experience very memorable. I stopped by twice 3xs. First time i asked for a roll from menu...was told by the gentleman behind the counter, that it would take "too long to make."???!!! Gave it a chance, anyway, got an order to go. Quantities were lacking compared to the price....got a half of portion I expected, as shown on menu. Still decided to stop by a second time for their sushi. Place was closed during lunch hour, with confused people waiting outside. No matter ..came back a third time for my sushi craving. No sauces given... had to ask for sauce for gyoza... was told they didnt have any, and was given "one" packet of soy sauce, i had to ask for 2 more! Tried to order edemame...NOT available anymore, although it's still in menu. For the price, not worth the assumption it will be a good experience. I never write negative reviews, and even though Im hungry for lunch, this had to be said. I hope your experience is better than mine! Not cool to spend almost 30.00 (no drink!) on one sucshi roll and a side of gyoza...with no sauce! Lol smh. read more

Absolutely DISGUSTING service. Do not recommend at all. The female worker is the only good feature to this place. Her male counterpart however, has no idea what customer service is. I had tears in my eyes at this terrible interaction. Don't even worry asking about dietary restrictions or asking to take your allergies out of a meal, you'll be met with "I already know that!", "can you just order?!!" Or just completely cut off or met with a god complex attitude. Didn't even get to order a drink or anything else to the order because he added the total and walked off for 5 minutes. Again, have the day you deserve mate. read more

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I came here on my lunch because they advertised to have poke bowls and they do not have a full poke bar. The man asked me to pay first I waited over 20 mins and after noticing he was making everyone else's food even people that arrived after me. I asked for a refund he rushed to make my plate without asking me what I wanted on it. I asked for spicy salmon only and he tried to gas light me by adding spicy tuna in it and telling me it was mushy salmon. At this point I was already passed my lunch time I asked him for a refund again and he refused. Took the plate and threw it in the trash. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

If you are looking for a meal made from the heart, this is the establishment. My husband found this place on his lunch break & called me everyday after for about a week with all the great dishes he tried. Finally today I got the opportunity to grab brunch with him. His order was the Beef Udon with a California Roll add on and I got the #8 shrimp tempura crunch roll. The service & quality of food was so fresh & delicious. They only have a couple of locations in SoCal, so there's usually a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The staff are wonderful. My go to is the Tonkotsu since that's what they're known for, and it was delicious. This time I decided to try the Black Devil Ramen, which combines their black garlic oil tonkotsu broth with their spicy tonkotsu broth. I'm really glad I switched it up because the black garlic gave the broth a much deeper, richer flavor, and the little bit of spice balanced everything out perfectly. I love spicy ramen, but not when it's so spicy that you can't taste anything else. Also added the Everything Topping and extra green onions because I'm feeling hungry. The extra veggies make it even better and definitely satisfied my hunger. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots outside of Little Tokyo. If you're ever in the Torrance area and craving ramen, this spot is worth checking out!

Well, because while everything else was on par, the music selection was highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Tupac's unedited Hit 'em Up was playing loud as we sat and ate, i had my kids with me. Look, I'm by no means a snowflake and hyper-sensitive to profanity-laced music, but this was completely unexpected at a family-friendly restaurant. I still plan to eat here in the future, but I just wasn't feeling the vibes during the last visit.

The tortilla is really great, nice and soft however, a nice grill on the outside would have been nice. They are good solid burritos but nothing particularly special. I wish the hash browns were a bit crispier and the house salsa had more pizazz to it. But it was regular ol' salsa. My boyfriend really liked their saying "in burritos we trust" and their little logo of the burrito. They had shirts for sale and we asked about it. My boyfriend would have definitely bought one if they had one in his size but they were sold out :( I would come back to Phannys if I'm in the area looking for a good burrito and for the shirt. Pleasantly surprised when my husband made the connection. The 2 guys working easily answered my questions about Stone Cold. He does pop in once every three months and they reported he is a nice guy. With that said, this place has a cute little outdoor area. My husband said their beer was good. I tried their seltzer but the one flavor wasn't for me. Nice place in a cute area. Would visit again but they need some food.

Well sounds like the negative reviews people having a bad day Because I've been in there 18 different times and not had any problems the owner or the food's is always good hot and fresh. Yes they ask you to pay up front because that's the type of business it is given the world we live in you pay gas first before you pump it so they're point is pointless.
