This was my first time dining here and my guest and I had a great time. Parking was easy and the interior was very accommodating and lovely. I started with the popcorn chicken. Just had to give it a try after the great reviews and it was very good as a shareable appetizer. Not spicy at all which was good. It was a fun dish to eat. I don't ordinarily like fried food for appetizers but I admit this was an addiction dish. For the main course I had the soup dumplings. They were very tasty and highly filling. The dish was seasoned perfectly and only needed a little soy sauce for perfection. We plan to come back here again when we're in the area. So I came here because of the Dan Dan noodle reviews. Ordered: Garlic Noodles Dan Dan Noodles Noodles tasted fresh and al dente, chewy and delicious. I am always looking for a great garlic noodle and this one was great! It's been awhile since I found a descent one, but I enjoyed this hot and fresh and also the next day for lunch. Added the shrimp. Will come again just for this. The Dan Dan noodles were good, but missing a bit of the peanut flavor. Scallion pancakes I liked these but at the time didn't have much of a scallion flavor. Not sure why, but I reheated at home and added some chili too it and it was fantastic! Dumplings: Spicy wontons and Pork/ Cabbage Dumpling. Both were juicy and flavorful, but we liked the spicy wontons more. A bit about the restaurant. There is a parking lot so it was easy to find a spot. Our first time here !! We found on yelp because we were craving dumplings . We arrived around 6 pm and signed into the electronic list and we were called for our table within 5 minutes. The food here was amazing. The parking was plentiful. But, the service was just okay. I came here on Sunday and it was open seating. No one greeted us so I put my name down on the wait list using their tablet by the front door which had one other party ahead of us. After that, my group patiently took a seat while waiting to be helped. Another group comes in and gets immediately greeted and sat down. I stood up and waited for the same type of attention and it took some time before even being acknowledged. After being seated, I looked through the menu and couldn't decide what to order since there were so many intriguing options. I settled on the Beef Wrap, Dan Dan Noodles, Juicy Chicken Dumplings, Juicy Pork Dumplings, and String Beans. All of the items did not disappoint. The food came out at a good temperature and just as delicious as they looked in pictures. They gave us a pitcher of water which was great so we didn't have to keep asking for more water since their cups were fairly small. Decided to try here after kids swim practice. There was no line and service was quick and friendly. There's quite a bit of booth and chair seating in here and it does get busy here. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, juicy pork dumplings, dry fried green beans and pan fried pork and corn dumplings. Dan Dan noodles were very good and flavorful. So was the dry fried green beans and the juicy pork dumplings. We didn't really like the pork and corn dumplings as much. I love dim sum, so I was looking for a place nearby and happened to find this restaurant. I had no idea it would turn out to be such a hidden gem! Everything I ordered was delicious, and I was very happy with every dish. The staff were friendly, the food came out quickly, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I've been here a few times since opening and we have had consistent good service, the food is all good. I like all the dumplings. The beef roll was just ok, but that's just what it is, it is not a really flavorful dish compared to the other dishes that have ginger and scallions and nice flavor. It's always clean and cod is fresh. The bathrooms are not unisex so women's and men's bathrooms are still separate. I actually like that as a woman I just don't like when it's unisex because a lot of the men leave the toilet seats up, sometimes dirty and for some reason men's bathrooms have smell. That's just me though. There's a baby changer in the women's bathroom. It's not crowded and food comes out pretty normal speed not that fast or slow. But we enjoy it! The dumplings are 8 per order, not like traditional dim sum orders so come with a big group to share! read more

We ordered the shrimp fried rice, beef fried rice, string beans, chicken, juicy wontons, spicy pork wontons, orange chicken, and a milk tea. Every dish was flavorful and well-seasoned. The fried rice was savory and delicious, the string beans were perfectly cooked with a nice crunch, and the spice level was just right--not overpowering. Nothing tasted overly salty, and everything felt fresh. The only issue we had was that our orange chicken was accidentally forgotten. We ended up having to flag someone down, and by the time it arrived we were almost finished with our meal, so we only got to try a little of it. I just wish someone had checked on our table a bit earlier so it could have been corrected sooner. Aside from that, the service was friendly and the staff was very kind. I also tried milk tea for the first time, and it was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet--just the right amount--and I loved the cute rounded-bottom cup. As a parent of a toddler, I really appreciated how family-friendly they were. They brought us a high chair right away, and it was exceptionally clean. Even the safety buckles worked properly, which is something I always notice because my one-year-old loves trying to escape if they don't. Those little details really stood out. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and well-kept. It has a casual atmosphere that's perfect for either a family meal or a date night. This place suffers from the same things that writers and designers suffer from: having their nectar compared to the nectar of the golden peach. And in this case the golden peach is Din Tai Fung. Meaning, that most dumpling places, if not all of them, are going to be compared to Din tai Fung and how it fares against the dumpling powerhouse. Just like designers of fashion shows have to endured being compared to a little Dior or the lesser of the Dolce dynasty. Sometimes we cannot escape the shadow of golden peach. So I will answer this immediate question: this place cannot replace Din Tai Fung but it has enough flavor and style that it deserves a visit. The best thing about this place, that i could eat, was the corn fried dumplings. So here is the thing, I am a super fan of corn. Like corn and I go way back. It is a must when I see it on a menu, whether it is powdered with cotija, or made into a soup, or fire-roasted, corn, for me, is where the pleasure is at. So if you and corn get down like that, then this dish is a must. But if you just love novelty or a different flavor profile than the typical dumpling house offers than this place also has a trick up its husk. I also loved that the deep friend corn came in a shape that I first imagined as a hat. Look at the pictures and maybe that will make sense. I ate the dish with pleasure, and the dumpling shavings on my shirt were the evidence stain of this fact. However, the wonderful fried dumplings, I also had the shrimp and chive ones, did have a snafu. They came in way too hot! I had a few bites of them, and the hotness was there like an extreme. So naturally I reached for my diet coke, to quell the tongue burn and the soda did not provide that much relief. It provided some, but I still felt the burn. And what was more kind of intense was that after a few minutes the burn was still there. Which impacted my level of enjoyment. But I packed my to go order and then later, I ate the dumplings cold and they were terrific! The flavor was thereI I could see the juicy shrimp. I could still taste the depth of the corn flavor. I was all kinds of happy. I am not sure if the hotness is standard but in my eexperience it was more than average. On a last note, the non fried dumplings the steamed ones I guess, still tasted like water. That was a miss. But on the whole, the food was a strong showing. The best thing about this place, that I could not eat, was the service. Boy, did I feel the love for hospitality! Every request was handled with patience I was invited to take a drink to go, if I wanted extra coke. It was attentive, caring, and more importantly, it felt genuine. Like my patronage of this restaurant mattered, even for the time I was there. This was one of the best service oriented places I have been in awhile. My son and I's favorite new spot to get some juicy dumplings. We've been for lunch a couple of times and really enjoyed the items we've tried. We've had the chicken soup dumplings and steamed dumplings, the garlic noodles with chicken, and the onion pancake. Everything has been delicious and quality was consistent. The garlic noodles and onion pancake are probably my favorites so far. I like they that have noodles and other options that are great with dumplings. The service is quick and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Both times we've been, the place has been pretty empty and we were seated right away. This is not quite D.T.F but for just being able to walk in and get way more food for your money, I would recommend it! The food is good and you get large portions. I tried the shrimp and pork wontons, orange chicken, shrimp chow mein , and beef with scallions . I liked all the dishes. The servers came often to check on our table. We came shortly after it opened on a Sunday so we walked straight into to our booth. My soda was flat so I had to get it swapped. But the food itself was good. It was not very loud in the restaurant and the kitchen was separated from the dining. There was lots of parking. Located in shopping center.
