DineLA 2026- Chicken Parmesan (with polenta) and pork Milanese (with vegetables)
    Nina W.

DineLA January 2026 review only. Your experience may differ if you dine outside of DineLA times. I will have to preface that the staff was very apologetic and said sorry multiple times. We booked a reservation on Resy for their outdoor heated patio. They are dog friendly! Outside vibes are amazing. Romantic, clean, beautiful. The bathroom was also clean and smells nice. First, it took a while to get seated. My husband said they seem frazzled. When we were seated, we wanted to order from the DineLA menu. However, the meal took 2 hours because they said the kitchen was severely backed up since it was the first day of DineLA and everyone is ordering it. Since they make everything from scratch, they didn't want to compromise the quality of the food so that is why it took a little longer. I wasn't too bothered by the wait time because I loved sitting out on the patio but it was extremely long for a simple dinner. For DineLA, it is $35 for a 4 course tasting menu. Key word ... tasting. The portions are small so don't expect a full meal if you're super hungry. Food: Soup of the day - it is a potato creamy soup. I thought it was a bit salty and overly peppery. My husband said he finished it in 5 spoons lol. Gnocchi and bolognese - best part of the meal!! Their gnocchi is so delicious and the cheese sauce is amazing. There is a baked crispy part on top that is so good. I would come back to order it. Bolognese was good too but gnocchi is clear winner. Chicken Parmesan and pork Milanese - it's okay, nothing special. The polenta and vegetable is good. Dessert - ugh super disappointed because I love panna cotta. When they brought out tiramisu, I was like whatttt? And confused.... I don't like tiramisu :(. They said they ran out of panna cotta. First day of DineLA for a 6:30pm reservation? I'm a little mixed because I know their are a family owned business and maybe weren't quite prepared for the huge DineLA rush. The food was also mixed too with the pasta dishes beating out the meat dishes. I would come back but only order their pasta :)

Had high hopes for this place based off other reviews but maybe we came in on a bad night. First off, the ambiance was really nice! 5/5 Next, the food....a disappointment. The garlic bread, amatriciana, bolognese, burrata and panna cotta were delicious but everything else was meh at best. The calamari had deep fried veggies... not sure if it was a filler to fill up the plate because I didnt order veggie tempura. The sausage pasta was bland. Literally no flavor. The flank turducken invention was unique. Sauce and risotto were good as the side but confusing as to what we were eating. Food overall was a 2/5 at best. Lastly, service was great. Aside from no water refills, our waiter was fast and friendly.

No hostess for 8mins upon arriving was concerning. At least the rest of the staff were kind enough to let us know she was coming. Rest of the night went off without a hitch. Menu is not expansive, but, very specific and well put together. Our server was on point during the service. Drinks were tableside with the quickness as well as our order. Starter calamari was well seasoned with just enough breading. Mama ordered the Radici salad and I had the Beet salad. Very good. We decided to drink our calories this night and got a nice and delicious bottle of red that was reasonably priced. We enjoyed our night, once our hostess arrived. The entrance is up the stairs from the Radici signage on the street. Might just return for bottle service again.

Came here with friends to celebrate a birthday. Surprised that the restaurant wasn't very busy for a Friday night. We were the only ones seated at the outdoor patio and the indoor restaurant wasn't very busy. Started off with a bottle of wine, sorry but I don't recall the name. We ordered the Insulate di Barbabietole which is the roasted beets, mixed greens, goat cheese, evoo and balsamic vinaigrette. Loved the salad but what was missing was the goat cheese, that would've taken the salad over the top. Next we had the Involtini, which is the baked eggplant, housemade ricotta, heirloom tomato sauce and parmigiano. I'm not a fan of eggplant, but this was delicious. The pastas are homemade. We had the Gnocchi di Palate Radici, housemade potato spinach dumplings in a stilton and parmigiano cream al gratin. The gnocchi were soft and pillowy delectable morsels. Loved the cream sauce it was in. We scraped the plate clean. The second pasta we had was the Paccheri Ala amatriciana. The menu indicates the pasta was penne, but actually the pasta that was served was rigatoni. It's served in a creamy vodka sauce with bacon and shallots. We expected this pasta to have some heat to it. Both pastas would've been much better if they were served hot. Both dishes were served luke warm. Service was friendly and attentive. There's parking in the underground garage and also metered street parking.

This is their Gnocci, it was sooo good, the sauce was silky. Can't go wrong with this dish.

We first ate there on a night they had a tasting menu, it was terrific, everything was delicious. We went again to celebrate my birthday and I can't tell you how good the food was, the service was superb and the owner stopped by several times. This is a first rate Italian restaurant in the southbay.

Recently visited for our anniversary. It's always a wonderful experience. Food is always delicious and service is warm. Would 100% recommend a visit. Can't wait to go back.

Recently had a dinner here with a small group. The restaurant itself is nicely designed, feels newer and is pretty spacious compared to other beach city areas. Everyone that we interacted was friendly. Unfortunately they are pretty strict with their menu selections - no substitutions or protein add ons to salads. This was tough for us as someone in our group had dietary needs and the server wasn't able to answer questions about ingredients etc. Dinner tasted okay... a little bland. I enjoyed the appetizers the most. I liked the calamari and garlic bread. The salad was also good.

My husband and I first came to this restaurant as a group of 10. We came in only to have a quick drink and headed out to a show. We have been meaning to come back since September! This restaurant is stunning inside. Just very beautifully decorated, lighting, the ambiance is sophisticated, and cozy. They do have limited parking below the restaurant. When you first come in, there is a nicely stocked bar. Augustine, the bartender, was very welcoming and accommodating. The owner, Laura was at the host desk. She sat us and then moved us closer to the window per my husband's request. We were there last night. Sunday night they serve lasagna, apparently it's really good there. I'm not a huge fan of lasagna, but I will say I tried it. It was actually very good, flavorful, good amount of cheese, and meat. I think I liked it because the lasagna noodles were thinner than what is normally served in other restaurants. We also had the salmon limone, garlic loaf, Italian sparkling wine, gelato, panna cotta, and tiramisu. Everything was wonderful. We had a great server too! His name is Gian Franco. He gave his recommendations, he was spot on! This restaurant is also able to accommodate events, I think they said up to 100 people. I really liked this restaurant, I look forward to coming back very soon!

Waited 20 minutes for water. No OJ or grapefruit juice at the bar. Garlic bread took 35 minutes, and by then the special was sold out but didn't know that until 35 min after i ordered. No menu, just a waitress staring at me asking what I want. Ordered Gnocchi and it was swimming in butter and barely edible. Five staff members walking in circles, yet basic service took forever. Rude, chaotic, and completely unorganized. Don't waste your time or money.

Downtown Hermosa has a lot of cute, good restaurants so we were excited to try this place. When you step inside, there's a bar, hangout area on your left and the sit down area on your right.we ordered their fito misto, garlic loaf, beets salad, truffle pasta, pasta with calamari, pappardelle alla bolognese and braised lamb over gnocchi. Their foods were just okay- i think their garlic loaf was the best thing that we ordered. This is a restaurant with nice vibes to hangout with people but for the food, you can get better italian foods elsewhere

So incredibly happy for his 13th birthday.

You can tell the chefs are dedicated to the craft. They're a 2025 bib gourmand restaurant and are hoping to aim for their first star, so their efforts into the decor, ambiance, and food shows (good luck!). The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. It has a very deep flavor profile that makes you appreciate all the work and thought that went into designing this dish. I'd get this again also! Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us. I have a soft spot for tiramisu so I'd recommend this too. Best of luck on the Michelin star! I'd come back. 5/5

LOL so funny. This place is laughably pretentious…read more Teeeeeeeny tiny portions. Just tapas. But at least $25 for one tapa plate. My husband and I laughed out loud when we were served. Not only that, but each miniature dish was delivered with a pretentious speech. "This is smoked herring from the raging waters of the shores of Iceland topped with a lemongrass infusion of Vietnamese Ruou Gao aged in a charred cedar barrel." Etc......... We spent $160 bucks for 2 people (3 dishes and 2 drinks) and left starving. It tasted good. The Hojito cocktail was delicious. But in zero way was this worth it. I would not at all recommend sadly. Also side note: It was very hot in there. No AC as far as we could discern.

Super attentive and explained the menu well, especially since we were sharing. The bread is a must get, we got a the ceviche (super tangy and good) and french onion toast. The pork and rib eye were our favs. So tender, perfectly charred. The coffee toffee pudding dessert was also a must get. Will be back for future large group dinners.

We opted for a few small dishes to share, including: - Kanpachi ceviche (4/5) very light and refreshing. Wish there were more of the fish, though - Sugar cube melon and lemon cucumber salad (5/5) super ripe cantaloupe and plenty of zing in every bite. My favorite dish! - Hand rolled spaghetti (3.5/5) it was a pesto spaghetti dish that was very flavorful, but I wasn't blown away by the handmade spaghetti: it could've been more al dente and the sauce didn't really taste like pesto; I tasted mostly lemon. A bit overly salty, too - Smoked and 1/2 fried chicken (3.5/5) the chicken was beautiful fried, with a thin yet hardy crackling interior that I hadn't quite had before in fried chicken. Sauce was sweet in its soy sauce base, but some cuts of meat were on the dry side - Coffee toffee pudding (3/5) probably the weakest of the bunch: we waited 8-10 minutes for it (as advertised), and it came in...a mug?? Not the most beautifully-presented, and overall, I did not get a lot of the pudding inside, mostly the toppings. Given that it's $12 for otherwise a microwavable dessert, it was disappointing - Chocolate flan (5/5) now this hit the spot! Honestly, it didn't even taste like flan, but rather a very smooth cheesecake. We're glad we added it on at the last minute! Overall, plenty of punchy flavors and innovative dishes that change monthly. However, the price point ($33+) per dish for such small plates is a bit much, but I can see myself returning for special occasions (and their breakfast burritos)!

The fact that they speak Italian adds to the feel of authenticity and the waitstaff was on point the whole night. The dim lighting with the real wax candles, adds a intimate touch. The food started with a simple Hamachi Crudo, which was simple and elegant. The warm bread that accompanied it is a nice and appreciated surprise at the beginning of the meal. Next up was the octopus, which was served warm, and was not rubbery or chewy at all. The eggplant Parmesan was a little bit on the colder side, but taste wise very sweet, tender, and you could tell each portion was made lovingly. The gnocchi was soft, creamy, rich, and decadent, and the sauce was equally rich and a great pairing. When you were only served five pieces of gnocchi, somehow you feel more appreciative of each bite and that was certainly the case here. You probably wouldn't want to eat a whole bowl of the stuff as it was extremely rich and luxuriously creamy. The last dish was the tiramisu which had a strong coffee flavor.
