I ordered the jerk chicken lunch meal with plantains, rice and "salad". The salad was cooked cabbage. The rice was the traditional rice with beans, sometimes called moros. I got the sauce on the chicken because i like spicy jerk chicken. the chicken didn't seem to be grilled. But it was moist, flavorful, and tasted good. the rice/beans combo was good. The plantains were nice. The "salad" lacked flavor, and there were no seasonings or sauces at the table to make it better. A pleasant young woman took my order and brought it to my table. When I walked in I was greeted with a warm smile that only a mother and grandmother can give. The owner is so friendly and kind. The restaurant is very clean and cool. I asked if the brown stew chicken was spicy because although my mouth loves spice my stomach does not. She assured me that it was not so that's what I got. I got Ocho Rios on day one and realized this would be a 2 part meal. First, the festivals were massive and a bit different than what I was used to but they were awesome. I got the shrimp combo plate with jerk shrimp and fried shrimp. While the protein was delicious and plentiful, I actually would go back specifically for the sides.
