Brazilian beef roast with yucca, rice, and salad

A local gem! Truly. This is a super chill, casual spot for Brazilian food where you can sit inside or outside as a small party or larger groups. The kitchen was open air and it felt so spacious inside. I appreciated that they had pictures of the dishes on their menus. We ordered at the counter and sat down at a table with a number. It was pretty busy with families inside for a Sunday, but the food came out pretty fast. I went with the Brazilian beef roast plate and it came with yucca, rice, a salad, and a bowl of beans on the side. It felt so healthy, fresh, and the flavors were delicious. I enjoyed the yucca a lot more than I thought I would. The entire plate just felt really balanced. I also tried my partner's picanha dish and the meat was cooked really well too. I think this will easily be somewhere we'll come back to. There's a parking lot but also plenty of street parking.

Fresh delightful flavors with a little bit of everything. Service was great with a family feel. I honestly liked what my hubby was having better than my salmon. I could live off the chicken and potato salad. I treated myself to the coconut flan with plum sauce. I loved it. We will be back. Great for groups of 2- 6 ppl.

We have been to Panelas quite a few times and every time it didnt disappoint! Everything we ordered was tasty and felt like I was sitting at a restaurant in Brasil! I am a native so I can tell you the food here is on point and the service has always been great! They have enough tables if you come with a regular size party but if it is a larger group I would give them a call so they can set up the tables for you. If you love Brazilian food or you want to try it, you wont go wrong by coming to Panelas.

Panelas is tucked away in a residential neighborhood along with other stores. It's a little hard to find without directions, but it can be found. The restaurant itself is clean and pretty with ample seating. They have an open kitchen concept for the store. I ordered the Picanha plate and my mom ordered the chicken plate. Our orders came out in a timely manner. We also got the Pao de queijo as our appetizers. They were pretty good, big, cheesy, and chewy. The Picanha was smoky and beefy. My Picanha plate also came with a fried egg on top of it. The black beans on the side, the feijoada, was pretty toothsome. My mom said her chicken was juicy and hot. We got our orders with drinks of Guarana Antarctica, the quintessential national soda of Brazil. Overall, I had a pretty great time at this restaurant. The prices are a little steep (just a little), but you get what you pay for. And you get a welcoming and excellent plate full of delicious Brazilian food.

WOW! This was some of the best Brazilian I've had. I started with a pão de queijo which was some of the best I've had - fresh and hot and so delightfully tasty. The guava juice was perfect - not too sweet and a fresh guava taste. I had the Brazilian salad with pichana which was juicy and tender. It took about 15 mins for our food to come out and there is a nice set of dining tables. Nice staff. Would absolutely come again.

Bringing my boyfriend to try the best feijoada in town! It didn't disappoint (it never does!). I love coming to Panelas. They have great Pudim (which is my favorite dessert). I definitely recommend

What a wonderful experience! Save money on airfare and come to Brazil for an hour! The feijoada was delicious, we also shared the barbecue platter and it was all so good. The pork in the feijoada was as tender as chicken and the sausage so flavorful!!! I want to come back and try all the sweets/baked goods as well. There's a small assortment of imports for sale, I bought a Brazilian coconut candy bar for later. The staff is very nice and attentive. I wish I lived closer!

This wonderful restaurant is hidden in a residential area but worth finding. We haven't been to Panelas in a while but it was as good as I remembered. The pao de queijo is delicious and made to order so our order was nice and hot but it did take 30 minutes to bake. I had the barbecue plate which consisted of picanha, chicken thigh and sausage. The picanha and sausage were delicious but the chicken was bland. Garlic rice ,black beans and potato salad were on point. Hubby had the veggie plate and loved it. Customer service is excellent and very friendly.

We visited the restaurant quite often when it was a tiny 2 table dinner just a couple of miles from our old residence. I can't believe how much it has grown and became a large restaurant with seating for 50+ people. After browsing through the new menu, we decided to try the following dishes: Croquette Basket: an assortment of fried crockets with cheese, chicken and beef fillings. The outer part was nicely fried, and the filings were well seasoned. I highly recommend eating them with a couple of drops of house chili sauce. It greatly enhances the flavor. Churrasquinho with Picanha: even though we requested picanha to be medium well, the meat was still very tender and soft. The grill veggies were not over burnt. The rice with crispy farofa was very nice. The black bean soup was not too salty and went well with the meal. Pastels: the wraps were crispy but not overly fried, and the filings were nicely seasoned. Again, try them with a couple drops of house chili sauce. Passion Fruit Mousse: it was smooth and not overly sweet. The hint of sourness of the passion fruit went well with the overall sweetness and taste of the mousse. Beijinho: the blend of condensed milk's sweetness with butter and shredded coconut was amazing. Nice texture and not overly sweet. I could eat a dozen of this bite size joy. It felt like a homecoming and made me realize how much I miss its food. For sure we will stop by more often.

My quick fix Brazilian place, I usually go for the BBQ Plate with all the meats or the Brazilian plate with a choice of meat. Everything is grilled up nicely and flavorful. It comes with rice, black beans, farofa, and salsa. Also had the vegetarian plate, which is a good serving size of all things Veggie with rice, beans, and farofa. If you are craving some Brazilian flavors and Brazillian grilled meats, this place will satisfy. The sausage and picahna are tasty.

There are no indoor tables, but there are couple of outdoor tables in the pickup window area. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items include Chicken Parm and Reg Hermosa Chicken Deluxe. The recommended sandwiches per the menu are Chicken Parm, Italian Combo, Meatball, Mickey's Combo, Sauce & Cheese, and Turkey. They also sell pizza slices, salads, deli items, hot dishes, and dinners. *** Large Chicken Parmigiano (Breaded Chicken, Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese and Parmesan Cheese, French roll - $17.50): Crunchy French roll and the portion was large enough to split into two meals. Flavor profile was alright and nothing too exciting. *** It's an a-ok grab-and-go deli shop, but I wouldn't drive out of the way for sandwiches with other better Italian deli shops in LA.

Anais was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive, and she made us feel genuinely comfortable and appreciated from the moment we walked in. This visit reminded me why Sweet Wheat has so much potential not just because of the quality of the food, but because of team members like Anais who truly care about customers. I stood in line for about five minutes waiting to be helped while multiple customers who came in after me were immediately acknowledged and assisted first. I was wearing a bright yellow shirt and standing clearly in view, so it was difficult to understand how I continued to be overlooked. I even glanced toward the camera because I genuinely could not believe what was happening. What disappointed me most was the customer service. When I later asked for the names of the staff members working during the interaction, Nick, Anianas, and two others.. they questioned why I was asking. I explained that I felt ignored and wanted to accurately reference who was present during the incident. As I was leaving, I overheard one of the workers say, "I feel bad for her walking out," which only added to the frustration because it confirmed they were aware of the situation the entire time. Sorry that I apparently did not fit the "typical clientele" you were more interested in helping first. This occurred between approximately 9:55 AM and 10:05 AM on Thursday, 5/21. Ironically, I had planned on purchasing a large order of pastries for my fiancé and his coworkers, but after the way I was treated, I decided not to spend my money here. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly reconsider visiting this establishment.
