    Chicken enchilada & chile relleno

Food smelled amazing and tasted just as good. The service is great as soon as you walk in you get seated and fresh tostada chips and salsa. The place itself from decor to menu is true Mexican restaurant. I got the chicken enchilada and chile relleno the flavor of the sauce was so good and amazing. Jamaica was fresh and not bitter or super sweet it was perfect

Wow! fresh food super authentic we here checking out the UCs for my dgtr and it's walking distance to Holiday Inn Hermosa Beach. U can park in the front or turn right on the corner the food was so fresh and plentiful even the fish plate was my fam got carnitas and enchiladas and the jugo drinks were also fresh they were open late too and our server was so amazing....i saw it's been open since 1954 or something coming from the bay i can seriously say this has been the most fresh and delicious mexican food we have had and there's plenty there so this is good

Love the homemade tortilla chips - they're so big and crunchy! The asado taco was just ok...the tortilla was a bit flavorless and would loved if the asado were broken down a bit more versus chunky. The chimichanga also a generous portion, but was just ok....just seemed to be just meat, no cheese. Would come back to try more items and a plus that they are open somewhat late

Authentic Mexican food. Burritos were awesome and you can get half and half with the sauces. Great and friendly service. Margaritas are made with agave wine (not tequila) so I added another shot and that made them have a little more bite. Will return!

Combo 16 - 1 potato taco, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. More food than 1 person could eat!

What a gem this place is! The family running the place is super attentive and kind. The food tasted like authentic Mexican all the way down to the sauce. The ratio of ingredients in the potato taco was spot on. So yummy! What a little local treasure!

This local Mexican restaurant is located on PCH walking distance to the ocean. I came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded at all and we were seated immediately. Everyone was super friendly and I think it was some of the fastest service I've experienced at a restaurant. They have a spacious interior with seating for large groups and a cozy ambiance. The menu is very large with a lot of customization and a lot of vegetarian options as well. I tried the cheese enchiladas combo that came with rice and beans. For $16, it was a large portion and filling meal and very tasty. They also provide tortilla chips and salsa for free. The only difficulty is parking since it's primarily street parking in the area, but the residential area nearby has free parking so it wasn't too bad! The perfect spot for Mexican food after a day at the beach

Warm air scented with roasted chiles and grilled carne asada greets you like an old friend who knows exactly what you came for. The room hums softly--families, laughter, plates arriving with quiet authority. No pretension. No theatrics. Just the confident rhythm of a kitchen that understands its purpose. The salsa arrives first. Bright. Alive. The sort of salsa that makes you pause mid-conversation and look down at the bowl with respect. Then the meal. Enchiladas wrapped in velvet-soft tortillas. Rice with the quiet depth of slow simmering. Beans rich enough to remind you that comfort can be served on a plate. And the margarita--cold, unapologetic, perfectly balanced--arrives like punctuation at the end of a long day. You sit back. The noise of the world recedes. This is not simply dinner. It is the rare satisfaction of a place that does exactly what it promises--and does it well. Five stars.

I ordered a deluxe burrito with shredded beef! I honestly did not like my food. The taste wasn't great & there were large chunks of fat still on the beef. Overall, these place has cute vibes and I love how breezy and open the restaurant is. I love how they open the side up so the store still gets airflow & all the Hermosa passerby traffic. I probably wouldn't come back here for Mexican food.

The tacos are nice and crispy and have a generous amount of cheese and meat. I'm sure they're good on their own, but I feel you can't enjoy birria tacos without lime, salsa, and a good dunking into the consome. The tacos came with an acidic green salsa and a red spicy salsa, both taste great. They also give you two slices of lemon, which is honestly enough for the tacos. I think the only way they could improve this plate is by adding a bit of extra cilantro and onion or radish on the side. Service was good. I was attended to quickly at the counter and had my tacos in like 5 mins. Given, I came while it was slow (12pm, weekday). The restaurant is small, but there's seating indoors and outdoors. I grabbed my food to-go and honestly I'd do it again to enjoy it on the beach. Definitely would come back!

Because it was on the fries, I expected the sauce would be on the fries, but it wasn't. It had guacamole and sour cream on it. Just seemed too much sauce already on it to add the birria sauce. The birria, without the sauce, wasn't bad but ... I think any other meat choice would've been better for this dish. The tortilla chips are fresh! Very good! The service was good. Just know it's a very small space, order at the register and pick up. Not on par with the surrounding restaurants. Thus, 3 stars. But they do have a few electrical outlets, a few outdoor tables, and the prices are good! It's very reasonable.

I stopped in to Guisados and ordered the Chuleta con Chile Verde - pork chop in chile verde with crema, diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeño over scrambled eggs. My wife ordered the Mexicana - diced tomato, onions, and jalapeño scrambled with eggs and topped with salsa and queso amarillo. We took them to go since we were almost back to the car. By the time I got home, I was pretty hungry. When I opened the bag, I found what were essentially kid sized burritos. Even my wife immediately commented on how small they were. Definitely one of the smallest burritos I have ever had. The flavor was good, actually very good, and the sauce was solid. Unfortunately that was also portioned light, with the container only about half full. No chips with the burritos, and they were $10.50 each, which was higher than the listed online price. Bottom line, the taste delivers but the portion does not. Barely three stars

They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping.
