Carne Asada Dry Burrito, Jamaica hibiscus juice, chips and salsa.
    Leslie D.

The burrito and jamaica hibiscus juice were delicious! The burrito was filling and the jamaica hibiscus was very refreshing. I finished my first two glasses of jamaica hibiscus very fast and Candace brought me another glass and a pitcher, along wth more delicious chips and salsa. Candace was very attentive and friendly. She had many tables and made sure everyone had what they ordered and needed. Dining outside on the patio was a fun way to enjoy the delicious burrito and jamaica hibiscus beverage. I recommend El Tarasco for a delicous dining experience with reasonable prices. :)

Bean and cheese burrito and horchata

First timer here. Great experience. Candace was super nice and attentive. I ate on the patio and it was perfect setting. Although I could have done without the cars honking while being impatient waiting for parking spots. Not El tarasco's fault. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and it was tasty. Cheese was all melted inside and the tortilla had a nice browning. You would be surprised how many spots don't melt the cheese thoroughly! My only feedback, I would have loved to have eaten the burrito without a fork and knife. The burrito fell apart on me as I was eating. I am still looking for a spot that can tightly wrap their burritos. Otherwise great spot.

    Breakfast burrito

Service was great the staff was very friendly and prompt but the breakfast burrito was the worst I have ever had. They need to remove the mashed potatoes in burrito is my suggestion not even eatable.

    Chorizo burrito

amazing food and service the chorizo burrito with cheese on it was really delicious. Not to mention the salsa with the chips while you're waiting for your food is to die for and the free refills on the Pepsi too. Monique was the best waitress of all time.

Quiet for a Saturday night inside sit down at 8pm, but still plenty of to-go orders, and I'll guess they were busier earlier for dinner. Lucky for us! We were greeted warmly and offered a cute table with a view out to PCH. The decor is cozy and comfortable with pretty flower murals along the walls and framing doorways. Staff was very attentive and friendly and my eyes were MUCH bigger than my tummy! I went with the grilled white fish, rice and beans plate, but added a beef tamale from the appetizer menu. Hubs selected a beef quesadilla as his main. They have a good selection of beers and beverages, but when I saw a margarita on the menu I was curious and asked if they really had margaritas. 'Yes. Would you like one'? No need to ask me twice! Unfortunately, I think, to accommodate their beer & wine license, the marg was made with some sort of white wine and maaaaybe margarita mix from LaPaz. I didn't get a hint of tequila at all. Oh well, cerveza next time! Hubs' quesadilla was large and the steak juicy, he was very happy. My grilled fish was delicious and the tamale was perfecto! Lots of generous, well seasoned beef, not too thick of a mesa. We also liked the way they served "chips" and fresh salsa. The whole, fried corn tortilla in the basket! No way someone can complain 'these chips were all crumbs!' when served this way. Delicious! We would cheerfully return to Rosa's again and hope this great family owned & operated, since 1973, business gets lots of love from local - and visiting! - patrons. Cheers! "CC"

I stopped in to Guisados and ordered the Chuleta con Chile Verde - pork chop in chile verde with crema, diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeño over scrambled eggs. My wife ordered the Mexicana - diced tomato, onions, and jalapeño scrambled with eggs and topped with salsa and queso amarillo. We took them to go since we were almost back to the car. By the time I got home, I was pretty hungry. When I opened the bag, I found what were essentially kid sized burritos. Even my wife immediately commented on how small they were. Definitely one of the smallest burritos I have ever had. The flavor was good, actually very good, and the sauce was solid. Unfortunately that was also portioned light, with the container only about half full. No chips with the burritos, and they were $10.50 each, which was higher than the listed online price. Bottom line, the taste delivers but the portion does not. Barely three stars

The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I would probably try once more and edit my review based on a second experience.

Birthday Flan: Creamy, custardy, and not too sweet. Honestly, there were no misses here. Everything was tasty, flavorful, and nothing was too dry. The prices were also good and not too overpriced for Mexican food considering the area. The service here was pretty good and efficient. Parking is metered parking. The food here was not mind-blowing and I would still opt for other places though. However, it is a solid pick for a restaurant and Mexican food in Manhattan Beach.
