Near to Hermosa Pier of course parking is difficult. You order in the counter and they bring to your table. The menu on the wall only list then names of dishes, no ingredients, no price so you really don't know what you're getting. Friendly service and clean place. Tacos are ok but too small
We need more tacos places here! So glad Guisados opened one here. The tacos are solid and its steps from the beach. Tacos are cheap and a good size. My favorite is the chile relleno taco and burrito. Please don't get rid of it. There's a tiny parking lot and I've been able to find parking there or metered street parking.
I love guisados! They are consistent across their locations with the flavor and quality of items they serve. My only complaint would be that the aguas frescas are a bit too sweet, but the food is a 10/10. The cochinita pibil is a popular item and I usually recommend the sampler for new customers. This location is also great because it had parking even though it is pretty close to the beach ambience and service was fast and quality
I've enjoyed all the locations of Guisados that I've visited. They provide consistently fresh and yummy food, and of course their tacos are exceptional. They have several vegetarian options which is great for me! There is metered street parking and a pay lot nearby. Easily walk a few steps to enjoy the beach.
after enjoying the tacos the other day from a different location, we made the stop here a little closer to home. Never knew this location existed of all times we've passed by it. It's camouflage to the parking lot before the pier. Small parking lot and weird entry to it. The location wasn't as busy as the last so I was skeptical. We ordered pretty much the same thing, fish tacos and bistek en salsa Roja. They were good! I think we had a little more beans per taco and the tortillas were not as good. I mean still enjoyable. The customer service was great and the workers there were very attentive. We sat outside in the nice sun and overall I'd say it's still worth visiting.
This place is wonderful and the tacos melt in your mouth. Everything was flavorful and greed inspiring, in a good way everything in moderation . The staff were helpful and patient. The restaurant is located at the entrance of the Hermosa Beach pier, so there's tons of metered parking. Just steps from the sandy Shores of the Pacific. This is a soo California.
The tacos are so good it should be illegal! These tacos have no right to hijack my palate like this! I came in ordered 3 and literally swallowed them only to order 2 more!! The steak, pollo and pescado was off the chains. I had to try to the Nopales as well! Everything was excellent!! I also recommending their cafe horchata. Thank god for places like Guisados! They just get it!!! Great chill vibe and friendly kitchen staff too. Just amazing across the board!
This location is fun cause you are near the beach. Their food is absolutely delicious and always hits the spot. I always go for their Sampler and their ceviche tostada and Agua de melon it's not too sweet and refreshing. The Young girl at the front was very sweet and loved the vibe of the cooks I always like to see people who love their job. Their parking lot is very small maybe like 6 cars fit there but there is more parking across from the restaurant as well. In the mood for tacos with handmade tortillas and grab a cold beer come here!
I got the sampler and had a beer while I waited. All the tacos were really good. I loved being able try a bit of everything. Cute casual interior. Service was friendly but a little slow and felt a bit disorganized. Despite that I would definitely eat here again.

Took our order and the delivered food made up for the bad service. Salsa verde taco, fish taco, mushroom taco plus quesadilla and cheese tamale. The masa on the tamale was heavenly. Soft, moist and delicious. Tacos were a little spicy but so very tasty. Noticed that staff were taking in napkins from patio before 8 so we thought they were closing. The hours posted on the door said 9 was closing. I'll give the place another chance because the food was so good.
I thought the tacos were fine. We're in LA so there's a taco spot every 15 feet lol. I've had better but these weren't awful. Came here bc I wanted to try the taco sampler and it was a fine enough experience. Of the 6 I would only need to eat 2 again (chicken mole poblano and pork cochinita pibil). The others were okay. I have no idea why anyone would ever order the chicharron. That was such an interesting texture I'd never need to eat again!! Haha But the staff was lovely, restaurant was very clean and they have a mini parking lot which is amazing for the area. Had a bite of my sisters shrimp taco and it was nice. Was sorely disappointed they don't sell chips. That's like selling burgers but no fries!! Overall not a place I'd seek out again but also wouldn't protest if someone wanted to go here.
Spent the day at Fiesta Hermosa and ended the day at Guisados. I got the Pescado Cheviche & my bf got the taco sampler. I really enjoyed the Cheviche. It was a big portion and hit the spot on a warm day. However I wouldn't recommend the sampler. The tacos were pretty small so by time you process what you're tasting, it's gone. I'd suggest picking 3 full-size tacos instead. Overall, Guisados has good food and definitely will come again to try their burritos and other tacos. read more

My first visit here wasn't so memorable, but my most recent stop totally changed my mind. Very glad I have this place another chance and definitely think this place deserves more love!! I woke up early to lounge and go for a dip at Hermosa Beach. After 3.5 hours, I was hungry and looking for something closeby, filling, and refreshing. Service was friendly, quick and overall solid. No major complaints. I absolutely loved the tacos I ordered: Pescado, Tinga, and Papas con Chorizo. The last two tacos had a little kick of heat to them which were enjoyable; I seriously considering purchasing more for takeout cause that's how awesome they were. I also got the Armando Palmero (2/3 Limon, 1/3 Jamaica) - perfectly tart and really complemented the savory flavor profile of my tacos of choice. The only callout I have is that the countertops and tables could be cleaner, but I shouldn't be too critical about this since I came in right after the lunch rush prior to any cleanup from said rush. I'm already looking forward to the next time I'm in the area because I have the melon & horchata agua frescos top of mind. read more

I've enjoyed all the locations of Guisados that I've visited. They provide consistently fresh and yummy food, and of course their tacos are exceptional. We just loved this Hermosa Beach location of the very popular Guisados chain of taco-focused restaurants. They had a wide variety of tacos and tamales available and the servers were excellent at recommending which ones to try based on taste and spice level. The servers also brought out the food quickly. This place is the perfect compliment to a trip to Hermosa Beach, where beach culture reigns supreme. After a walk by the beach or some time in the ocean, these bites are exactly what I want. The restaurant has a small parking lot which quickly fills up when it's busy so you may want to be prepared to grab metered street parking in the area. read more

An Open Letter to the Cashier Who Accidentally Became the Main Character of My Night Hi. Yes. You -- the cute cashier at Guisados. This is supposed to be a restaurant review, but destiny clearly had other plans because somehow YOU became the plot twist of my entire night. I think it was almost 9pm. I was circling the beach parking lots like a lost Victorian ghost, starving, stressed, and waiting for the ocean to fix my life. I had eaten nothing but a sad tuna sandwich that I'm convinced did more emotional harm than nutritional good. Then I saw your restaurant glowing in the night -- warm, golden, dramatic lighting like a spotlight saying: "This is your moment." So naturally, I BUSTED a U-turn so intense I'm amazed the universe didn't pause the scene and add slow-motion effects. I walk in. The steak aroma hits me like a cinematic slap. Juicy, rich, theatrical. Then I see you behind the counter with this calm, soft energy like you've tamed many hungry goblins before me. I tell you: "I have $11. I'm starving. I'm fragile. I need tacos before I faint." You didn't judge. You didn't flinch. You didn't call security. No. You asked if I wanted a drink and then casually delivered the line that may haunt me forever: "The horchata's on me." Sir. That is rom-com behavior. You can't just SAY things like that to someone on the brink. Then you applied your employee discount like some kind of culinary guardian angel, dropping my total to $7.92. I tip $2, because respect is respect. BUT THEN -- the universe, dramatic as always -- decides to sabotage the moment. My phone tap fails. The machine freezes. You ask if I have a physical card. So I sprint back to my car -- which currently looks like anxiety in vehicle form -- and start ripping through pockets, doors, seats, glove compartments, emotional wormholes. I find my wallet. NO card. I was just bout to start walking back, fully prepared to deliver the saddest apology of 2025 for wasting your time, stomach trembling, dignity hanging by a thread. And THIS is where you fully shifted the timeline: Before I even started walking back , YOU ran outside -- literally RAN -- holding the tacos and horchata like an offering from the heavens, saying: "Don't worry about it. Have a good night." Sir. You cannot chase a starving woman into a parking lot with free tacos and expect her to return to normal life afterwards. That's a core memory. That's a plot point. That is CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. I sat in my car under a streetlight and ate those tacos like I was in the final emotional montage of a drama film. They were perfect. You were unexpectedly charming. The whole night felt scripted. And here I am -- hours later -- writing a SECOND review because once wasn't enough to get this out of my system. Thank you. For the food. For the kindness. The taco sampler at Guidados is such a treat! Every bite is bursting with flavor, and the presentation is super cute. My top picks are definitely the mole and the tinga tacos--so tasty! And the melon agua fresca? Refreshing, light, and absolutely delicious. A must-try combo! ¡La selección de tacos de Guidados es una delicia! Every time I go to Guisados is always a good experience. I've been going for years and tried this spot a couple of times. All their different locations taste the same, which I love. The tacos are just delicious, it's like trying the real traditional Mexican dishes in a freshly hand made tortilla. My fav are steak in salsa roja, chicharrón (it's spicy), cochinita pibil, carnitas en salsa verde. The horchata is also good even though it's on the sweet side, and there's an option for the cold brew horchata which is great! The service is always nice, and they're pet friendly at the patio which I love so you can go with your furry friends and can go to a walk at the beach afterwards! read more
I meant to take pictures but I inhaled my food so fast that I forgot. If God made tacos, these tacos are what he would have created. I got a steak taco, chicken taco, and an elote tamale. Normally, I have to cover tamales in salsa because they are so dry, not here. The tamale was so sweet and moist that it didn't need salsa. The steak taco with the avocado was freaking perfectly stewed and seasoned. I add a dab of habanero hot sauce just for heat, but it didn't need it. The chicken mole taco with a couple onions was consumed in two bites, just perfect. All the meats here are stewed and seasoned so perfectly that they dont need to add lots of toppings and you dont really need salsa. Also, the fresh corn tortillas. Me encanto. read more
Solid Fish Grilled Tacos! They use swai for their white fish. But a bit too much cream on the tacos, I would ask light cream next time. Quick service and friendly staff. Not much of an ambiance except for it being near the beach pier. read more

Second time at Guisado's and it hit the spot on Taco Tuesday. I tried the 5 taco mini sampler of meat tacos (as opposed to the veggie option). My husband had a chicken tamale and a fish taco. My favorites out of the 5 were the chicken tinga, chicken mole, and the steak with green peppers/bacon. However all had good flavor. The Jamaica agua fresca was decent too, not super sweet. Guisados has a fast casual ambiance, very modern and clean inside. It does not have a traditional ambiance (if that's what you are looking for) but it is good for order at the counter and quick service. read more

The michelada was excellent - so much chamoy and tajin. We got sampler platters of 6 mini tacos each, and all were good, but the mushrooms and chorizo were superb. The aguachile was also very tasty, but so spicy that it was hard to eat. I love to stop at this place when I'm in town. read more
Review for aguas frescas only. I am a sucker for a good agua fresca, but only if it is freshly made. The stuff that comes out of the machines is ok but it's basically just sugar water. I think the aguas frescas here are freshly made. If not, they fooled me. They have a standard horchata one but also offered some different interesting ones, like a cold brew horchata and their take on an Arnold Palmer (Armando Palmero--half lemonade and half jamaica). The cold brew horchata is a regular horchata with cold brew coffee thrown in and it was delicious. The Armando Palmero was tart and refreshing. I loved it and could have drank endless cups of them. I would have loved to try their food but we already had ordered food elsewhere. This location is just a stone's throw from the Hermosa Beach boardwalk. read more

Back here again! Always a fast and easy place to get freshly made street tacos, ceviche and tamales. My favorite is the mole poblano, their chicken and sauce is perfect for me and very flavorful. Hubby's favorite is the conchita pibil (slow roasted shredded pork) and ceviche. Kids favorites is their fresh tortillas and their elote (sweet corn) tamales. They can even throw an egg on it if you want. Staff is always friendly and food is served nice and hot quickly. read more

I got the taco sampler which came with an assortment of 6 mini tacos. My favorite was the steak picado! I really liked how much flavor the meats had very juicy, although some a bit spicy for me. I also tried the sweet corn tamale I would definitely come back for that and to try other ones. So good! Service was good and lots of seating room. read more

Delicious tacos & great location...but pricey Food: Ordered the tacos camarones & tacos pollo. The shrimp taco was incredible! I might have to say that it's the best I've ever had. The size of the shrimp was generous and very plump/juicy! The chicken taco had good flavor, but I wished there were some vegetables or additions to it, instead of just being the tortilla and chicken. *I'm usually not a fan of corn tortillas, but this place had amazing corn tortilla shells for the tacos. I could tell that they were fresh. Service: All 3 workers that I encountered were friendly. Atmosphere: Spacious inside and multiple tables. Good for small groups up to 6 people. It has a clean and somewhat quiet interior which was nice. Location: Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Street parking (that is pay by hour) *The only issue was that it was on the pricier side. Prices range from $4 - $5 for a single taco which I thought was a bit too pricey. I wasn't mad because the tacos were very good. Maybe it Is inflation, but almost $5 for a single taco seemed a bit too expensive (in my opinion) Nonetheless, if you're in the area, I highly recommend coming to this place. Authentic tacos and a great location. If you're seeking high quality tacos with ample options, this is the place for you! read more
