Love this place! They have fancy desserts that are pretty to look at and are equally delicious. Their sandwiches and iced coffee is pretty good too. I haven't been in a while but now I think I'll definitely revisit soon!

If you are looking to meet with your friends or family on the go, this is the place! The have the trios for a reasonable price or you can put a meal together. The food can be warmed or as is. Nice ambiance, nice employees. Oh yeah freshly squeezed orange is a Must!

I ordered these the day before and picked them up early in the morning. I wanted to try a lot of their items, so I got: * Croissant (this was the only one I liked) * Pain aux Raisins * Almond Chocolate Croissant * Cannelé * Chocolate French Toast * Apricot Raisin Orange Blossom Cake * Salted Caramel Apple Cake * Flan * Millefeuille Vanille * Chocolate Opéra Cake * Tiramisu * Cranberry & Walnut Sourdough * Vanilla Custard French Donut But honestly, only the croissant was good. Everything else was just okay. A bit disappointing since I was expecting it to taste more like what I had in France.

The beat french pastry in the southbay, it is a bit on the pricier side of pastries but it is well worth it. Even the appearance alone it looks as good as it appears. I love to get any of their tarts. I come to treat myself,I havnt tried their savory goods, although I did get a baguette. Yummy!

Located on the corner of Avenue G and PCH, it is a quite large bakery with its own parking lot and inside seating for 50+ people. There are also many tables outside for those who prefer al fresco. The ordering process was very simple: get in line, point at what you want in its large glass display case, the very attentive staff will retrieve them for you, then you pay for the items at the end of the line. The prices are not inexpensive but the quality of the items will dispel any doubt you have about what you are paying for. They also offer discounts for multiple item purchases There were so many tasty choices, and it was extremely hard to decide what to order. For this visit, we ordered the following items: Ind. Fraisier Cake: the strawberries were fresh, the cake was soft, airy and not too sweet. Raspberry Vanilla Macaron: Both the crust and filling were on the hard side. It was also quite sweet. Morello Cherries Clafoutis: Both the crust and filling were soft. The tanginess of the cherries offset the sweetness of the filling. Quite exquisite. Flan: the crust was slightly on the hard side but still quite buttery and delicate. The custard filling was soft, not too sweet, and very tasty. Walnut and Cranberry Bread: the crust was not too hard, and the crumb was soft and very wholesome. They did not skimp on the walnuts and cranberries for sure. Pistachio Cookies: They were soft, buttery, and not too sweet. The pistachio chunks were fresh and flavorful. We did not try their sandwiches this time since we have already had our lunch, but we will get one of their paninis for sure on our next visit.

This is my first visit. I had the Egg, Ham & Cheese Croissant...a buttery, flaky delight and the delicious Tiramisu. Our server with a smile was Sophie, and she was very nice and helpful. I will be returning.

One of my favorite bakeries, lovely big display with plenty of options. Delicious french pastries and savory items too. Great spot for lunch. They even have soup! My favorite chocolate almond croissants are from here. My favorite sandwich is the iberco sandwich. And if you cant decide, get a bunch of mini pastries to try before committing. Beautiful place to grab a casual brunch with plenty of seating inside and out. Great service.

Food - large selection of pastries and desserts. However the desserts weren't any good. The pain au chocolat had a weird cheesy taste that was extremely unappetizing. The pumpkin tartlet tasted extremely artificial. The almond pain au chocolat was overbaked/burnt. On the bright side I had the tuna sandwich and it was quite fresh and good. The baguette part was nice and chewy and the egg is a nice touch/addition to the tuna. Hubby had the chicken pesto and was not satisfied. Chicken pesto wasn't as high of quality, bread unevenly baked (some parts hard to chew), cheese was mediocre and the sandwich overall was nothing to write home about. Service was awful. It definitely could use improvement. It was extremely unorganized and the workers all stayed behind the counter. Zero acknowledgement and tables and floors dirty. Did a pick up order to skip the line, but it was frustrating trying to get any one to help us. Order was also not ready at the time of pickup. They ran out of one of the pastries, but accommodated by allowing us to select another instead, so at least there was that (even though it didn't taste any good) . Parking lot is small and cramped. Probably won't be returning to this particular location.

A good selections of both sweet and savory pastries with both indoor and outdoor seatings available. You walk up to the queue and order with one of the staffs, and tell them what you want along the way. Staffs are pretty friendly. Around 50 seats available inside, pretty chill but can get a little loud if there's a lot of people. Decent pastries, coffee was alright. Pretty much self served after they hand you the tray. They also have combo choices to make it meal like. Love how that all the prices and allergens are listed so nothing caught you by surprise. Street parking and a small parking lot at the back.

I was craving for dessert and a friend recommended this place and I am shocked I've never notice this place before as I've passed by it so many times lol. There's ample amount of parking around the building and the place itself is quit spacious. I came here close to closing time around 7:00pm (they close at 8;00pm) and there were plenty of tables available. We ordered the chocolate mousse, raspberry tartlet, crème brûlée tartlet and cappuccino. The crème brûlée tartlet was by far our favorite. It was so good I'm def coming back for more. The raspberry tartlet was good as well. I was a bit disappointed initially that their large coffee size was 12oz until I realized just how strong their coffee was. I can really taste the difference. The only thing we didn't like was the chocolate mousse. Something tasted off and the little chocolate drops on top was hard and did not taste good either. No big D. There were so many other sweets I wanted to try. I'm def coming back again. We devoured the tartlets so quickly that I totally forgot to take a pic so instead I went back to the display and took pics from there ;) Service was on par. The two gents closing were very helpful and informative. I enjoyed their vibe.

I went around 10am with a friend on a week day and it wasn't packed at all. Parking is decent, not plenty but just enough to accommodate. Outdoor seating was nice but facing PCH so, if you don't like the noise of traffic, stay inside. So many variety of pastries and desserts. A little on a pricy side to be honest, but definitely satisfying.

Updating my review, though the rating remains at 4 because of what I will explain further below. Sweet Wheat reminds me of the traditional all day bakeries you find all over France. Early morning, you come here for a croissant and a coffee. Mid-day you might have a light lunch. Then an afternoon pastry and for those times when you want an indulgence you get a box of their confections. I can see what they are attempting to create and for the most part they are successful. However, the quality of their food items are a bit inconsistent from product to product. To explain what I mean, take their pastries. Order their mille-feuille and it is exquisite - delicate layers of puff pastry with an equally sumptuous pastry cream in between. Surely that means their other confections would be equally delicate and exquisite. Alas, no. The raspberry tartlet is a particular disappointment - a small mountain of raspberries over frangipane (almond cream), with a vanilla cream in the center. The frangipane is too thick and the entire thing feels like you're eating a thick cockle with the fruit as an after thought. And yet, both the raspberry tartlet and the mille-feuille are priced similarly. This same inconsistency can be seen in their savory offerings and taken together, it makes you feel like their offerings are overpriced. And truly, in my opinion, some of their pastries are absolutely worth the price tag. While others are not and I likely won't be ordering those items again. If they can up their game a notch so to speak, and produce everything at the same quality, then this would be a 5 star place. However, I believe that in order to do that they'd have to limit their offerings to some extent. And I certainly respect business owner's decisions on what makes sense for their profits. My favorites so far: - Chocolate eclair - Mille-feuille - Lemon meringue tartlet - Apple tarte tatin - Quiche - both the vegetable quiche and the traditional Quiche Lorraine are really good. - Canelé - they remain the only bakery in the area with canelés that are up to standard. And for that alone, I will continue to come here. I've yet to try the majority of their viennoiserie, their macarons, and as for the breads, I've only had their baguette and that was quite good.

Brunch Trio: Pea and Asparagus Soup, pastry, hazlenut latte. Free baguette for signing up for rewards.

So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.
