I have come to this restaurant many many times over the past three decades, and just realized I had never ever done a review. It was time! I always ordered the same thing the Aji de Galina - when I walked in on this hot Friday afternoon, I was looking for a terrific lunch imagine my surprise when I showed up and it wasn't that busy at lunchtime? What the heck! This place used to be packed at lunch lunchtime! I was seated quickly, ordered my drink, and ordered my entrée! While I was waiting, I took a look around. It was a nice restaurant still the service was very prompt and good - why wasn't it busier? Huh. A big surprise to me. Needless to say? When the food came, I was pleased that it tasted exactly the same as I remember - excellent. I got a small bowl of chicken soup, and my entrée was fantastic and plentiful with lots of chicken the way I like it! I can't really say I'll come again and you should too because I know I will come again! But this place is worth a stop if you want to try good food at reasonable prices. we've been going to the original location in Lawndale for over 40years, when we used to work in south bay. even when we live over 40 miles away, we always love to visit whenever we're in the neighborhood. this time I wanted to try their new location close to LAX as we're picking up daughter's family and meet up with other daughter. total of 6 adults+3 toddlers. we arrived on a Friday around 7pm. there's plenty of parking inside the the plaza. the place is not very big but not full so we got seated right away. the menu is identical to the Lawndale location. we ordered 2 lomo saltados (my favorite), 2 of their rotisserie chicken combos, a steak, a seafood pasta, and 2 appetizer ceviche. everyone got their complementary soup (yum) as well. ceviche was a little too tangy for our taste, but lots of fish and seafood. lomo saltados is still the best, especially with their homemade green spicy sauce. hubby said the chicken is still not as good as the Lawndale store. but the pasta and steak are both very good as well, according to my daughter and her hubby. we enjoyed the meal with the entire family. It's definitely more convenient than the Lawndale location, if you ever lands in LAX. read more

This location is such a gem. It's clean, decor is cute, staff a nice, food is great. The lomo saltado was perfect. Steak was tender, fries were golden, flavor was on point. Served with rice that's also seasoned well. Top it with the green sauce and it's 100! It comes with a small bowl of the chicken soup which was super flavorful and good. I had a $45 Uber credit from doing a bit of overtime at work, so I figured I might as well bring home some takeout. We got the chicken with fries, chaufa fried rice, soup, and the green sauce. The chicken with fries was a really good value for the amount of food you get. The portion was generous, and it felt like you were getting a lot for the price. The chicken had nice flavor, and the fries were a hit with the kids, which is always a win. The green sauce was good with everything, but at least for me, it worked perfectly with the chaufa fried rice. It added that tangy and spicy contrast to the rice and chicken, which made the chaufa even better. The chaufa was my favorite. It was weirdly addicting! The portion is big enough for 2-3 people, but it is the kind of thing where you keep going back for more. Honestly, the chaufa by itself could be a full dinner. Pickup was easy, and the food was ready without any problems. Overall, a good takeout dinner and I would definitely order again. My recommendation: order the garlic rice and generously top it with the green sauce. Yum! The Papa Rellena was another standout--crispy on the outside and packed with seasoned beef and Peruvian olives on the inside. It was my first time here. We'd gone never door for a massage and when we were done we were hungry so we thought we'd check it out . When we entered were immediately greeted by the staff. A young lady seated us wherever we chose to sit and took our drink order. She was very friendly and patiently answered all of our questions about the menu. The food was very good (not great) my rice was cold, which was weird because everything else on the plate was very hot. The house salad was very large and was only iceberg lettuce. I ordered a seafood plate, it was seasoned well and if I were to ever go back I'd probably try something different . The menu was extensive, so I'd love to try something different. To start they give you a comforting chicken and rice soup and when you add the Aji sauce- yum! All the dishes were amazing and tasty as well as the salsas. While I like spicy, the red for me got some kick. The green salsa had the perfect spice for me. I was in El Segundo for work and was debating on driving all the way to Torrance when I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they opened a new location less than a quarter mile from my hotel! I'm happy to report that the Lomo Saltado here is *almost* as good as the main location. Is it just as good? This EPI, seems to be one of the relatively newer franchise locations that has opened in the area over the years. Consequently, some menu items differ from other locations. It is in a small strip mall with limited parking shared with a local pizza joint. The service here was really excellent. The restaurant is a smaller than the other older locations. Consequently, there is less, but ample seating. It has the feel more of a fast food place, but it is still a sit down restaurant. The food quality was the same as the other locations, for the dishes that are in common. The only thing to watch out for is that the timers in the bathrooms are really short. So you need to wave at the motion sensor so you don't get stuck in the dark. The bathrooms are clean. If you are near this location or stop by LAX and want to avoid traffic, this is a good place to stop on the way home. read more

Returned for a sit down experience and it was nice from start to finish. All the staff were friendly and accommodating to us. So happy Inka came to West LA! First time at this location and these dishes did not disappoint. My go to is the Picante and Chaufa. The creamy and slightly spicy picante has such a unique taste that's hard to get anywhere else. The Chaufa is also my favorite! With the green sauce, the blend is so good. Each entree also comes with their delicious signature green soup. This location allows for dine in and to go orders. The servers come to the table for dine in options or you can order at the counter for to go. It's a casual and homey restaurant with delicious food! I ordered the picante pollo that was on their lunch special menu. All entrees come with a rice and chicken soup that is pretty tasty. My food was a mix of potatoes and chicken with a thick sauce. It wasn't that spicy though. It comes with a side of white rice. It was flavorful. Next time I will likely try something else like their 1/4 chicken with two sides. We always order saltado. My husband and I ordered saltado de mariscos, the kids ordered lomo saltado. We also love their plantain. The soup was hearty with chunks of chicken, we sort of prefer the soup at the other locations but it was good. We didn't get bread like we usually do. Customer service is great! Everyone was attentive and friendly. They were quick to get anything we needed. They are located on Sepulveda and El Segundo close to Top Golf. We also liked the plates and the decor was welcoming. What a great place to get Peruvian food. It is some of the best in town. The place is so pretty inside, it is not huge, it is comfortable. This is a family owned place and boy do they serve great food. Parking is easy and the prices are super fair. The service is so nice. They really make you feel at home. You will be so comfortable and it is a calming place. The food is amazing. All the entrees come with the most heart warming soup. What I love is their rice and we get a few and share. They have the best Cilantro Rice, so good and packed with flavor. The Arroz rice has the best garlic flavor. We also love their fried rice. It is all great. The appetizers are also great. We have tried their Papa a la Huancaina, which is sliced potatoes served on a bed of crispy rice with the best cheese sauce. For mains try their Chicharrón de Calamares, which is fried calamari with potatoes and the best lime marinated onions. The Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos is so great. It has fish, shrimp, squid and scallops all served with Onions, Cilantro, Tomatoes, and Green Onions with Spaghetti. You can't go wrong with this dish. All of their food is great.
