Pace is great Cute little coffee and cakes spot Workers are so friendly and nice Quick service all around.

Cozy little place with delicious guava and cheese pastry. I understand the negative reviews of the service BUT to be fair, the lady seems old school and some people depending on their background and culture have a strong attitude that they will not change for anybody. They are not fake just straight to the point. So no complaints. With this said, the lady was a bit serious (not rude) and greeted me with an Hola! Hi! Good thing I know Spanish. After politely asking a few questions about their menu and ordering, she softened up chatted a bit and gave decent service. Food: I tried the guava and cheese pastry which were so good with the perfect crunchy flakiness I also tried their cafe con leche and sugar to sweeten it up and it did not disappoint. Their 'ropa vieja Cuban sandwich' was very tasty too with perfect seasoning and flavor. I will definitely come back and try other things in their menu.

Homey spot for Cuban sandwiches and baked goods. Came here for lunch with my boyfriend on a weekend and we originally tried splitting one cubano, but it was so good that we ended up getting a second one. If you dine-in, the sandwich comes with a side (which in this case, were fries). We also got Batidos - you can get this with milk or water. We had a mango one with milk and a strawberry one with water - both were very large portions and very well mixed. The sandwich is made to order and you can get take-out or dine-in. Credit cards are accepted. They speak primarily Spanish but can speak some English.

Teen wanted to serve Cuban food for a birthday celebration. We ordered Cuban sandwiches cut in thirds, small meat pies, and guava cookies and it was a hit with all the teens. Perfectly sized and portioned to munch on throughout the night. The sandwiches were beautifully wrapped and looked great when we put them on a platter for serving.

The food is amazing but the wait is so bad. Every time I come here I've waited more than 20-30 min. I wish they would have better service.

Cubano Sandwich

I was in the area for an appointment and found this place. Got the most amazing sandwich cubano, cafe con leche, guava and cheese pastry and a dulce de leche cookie. The area and the exterior doesn't look like much but don't let it fool you! The food was really good and tasty. The sandwich was hot and melty, the bread perfectly crusty on the outside and soft inside. The place feels homey, the service is homey, and I enjoyed my time there. It's was a little warm inside but I didn't let it bother me. I am always looking for the best dulce de leche and I can tell you that the cookie I got hit the spot like no other. It has the perfect consistency, flavor and color. All the other pastries look amazing too but couldn't fit anything else. I will be back to try more next time I'm here. Prices are very good.

Potato Ball to-go
Natalia G.

Initially came in for something sweet but ended up getting both savory & sweet. I got their guava con Queso pastry & a potato ball. Omg, it fulfilled my craving of savory & sweet. First off, the potato ball is double what you might get at Porto's & the potato....oooh the best & the seasoned ground beef & freshly warmed, yum! Almost wish I would've gotten 2. And the guava pastry was perfectly flaky! Can't wait to go back & try other things like the batida. Thank you, Cafe Cuba & Cakes for making my day better.

A Cuban cafe serving up pastries and delicious authentic Cuban food. Stepping in feels like entering a home, with the Cuban-themed decor and the salsa music playing in the background. As a a small family-owned business, expect a bit of wait time to order. Most customers seem like usuals and usually strike a conversation with the sweet waitress.

I really like Urth Caffe. Quality is consistent across all locations I have visited. Their crunchy…read moregranola (not the puffed granola which I'll never understand) which you can purchase in coffee-size bags to enjoy at home is superb. It's my all-time favorite granola. Their açaí bowl is delicious but prefer the açaí bowls at Kreation. The only complaint I have (which is really a backhanded compliment) is that the line is usually long and slow-moving, however it gives you ample time to know what you want when you get to the register. Every location I've visited (Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, South Bay) has plenty of tables should you choose to dine-in. Love their teas and coffees!

Pit stop on the way to the LAX. My 2nd or 3rd visit. My…read morefirst visit had me confused. Where are we going? This random industrial area? Then you see valet parking. Ok...must be popular. So expect a wait to enter Sunday morning. Line moves quickly with 3 cashiers. Found a table, placed our number, got our self serve water & coffee. My iced special coffee drink was delivered. For the volume of people being served, it's pretty efficient. Our table ordered: 1) egg & cheese burrito. Very good. Average size. Not a jumbo as a Mexican restaurant might serve. 2) avocado toast with a poached egg. Nice entree. Again with the 2-1/2 to 3" slice of whole wheat black sesame toast. She's not a crust girl, but ate the inside portion. Excellent bread with ample avocado. Egg cooked as ordered. 3) potato hash with a poached egg. My son devoured & said it was really good. 4) prosciutto burrata cheese melt with side spinach salad. Great little sandwich. I little greasy since it was maybe panini pressed. Salad was dressed in an o/v dressing. Could have been punched up a bit with S&P. Son's gf didn't eat the basil & micro green garnish on the avo toast. Asked whether I could have it. Which I sliced up and added to side salad. A pro move cuz it was really kind of oily & one note. Yes, I understand it's a freebie side for a sandwich. The herbs added a lot to flavor this salad. Valet parking is $10 or street parking/near by grocery store lot. Upscale decor with brass accents. Read many low star ratings. Some may be completely legit. Except for one who complained about a $2 charge for an extra house made aioli/marinara sauce. Look...even fast food places charge for extra sauces. Yes maybe 10 yrs ago it might have been free. However, running a restaurant/large food service operations costs A LOT of money. Money for ingredients that are delivered in trucks who are paying more than $8/gal for diesel. Ingredients/supplies that hopefully all come from the US. If not it's extra tariff prices. Thanks to minimum wage increases even fast food workers make $20/hr. Also a smaller pool of workers thanks to ICE. If you're going to complain about restaurant pricing, stay home and cook. Cuz if someone else is doing it for you, it costs.

But apparently Philz decided to prove a point. They had a few specials going, and naturally I saw Pecan Pie Iced Latte and immediately understood that I was no longer in control of my decision-making. I ordered it, and it was exactly the kind of sweet, smooth coffee I was looking for. Basically, dessert put on a business-casual outfit and became coffee. Of course, I couldn't just enjoy my coffee in peace, so I had to make sure the wife was taken care of too. I got her the Sea Salt Caramel Matcha, and she gave it the official approval--which, for anyone married, you know is basically a five-star inspection from the FDA. The service was fast and friendly, which is always appreciated when you're looking for that caffeine-induced personality upgrade. Everyone was pleasant, and we didn't have to stand around wondering if our drinks were going to arrive sometime next Tuesday. The location itself is another major plus. It's conveniently situated near several other places to grab food, so it's an easy stop for a post-meal coffee, afternoon pick-me-up, or "I said I wasn't getting coffee today but here we are" situation. And this place is BIG. There's plenty of seating with tables, chairs, and benches, making it easy to come here to work, catch up with friends, hang out, or just sit there pretending you're being productive while scrolling through your phone. Overall, I was very, very pleasantly surprised by Philz. Good drinks, friendly service, plenty of space, and a convenient location. The Pecan Pie Iced Latte alone was enough to get me thinking about my next visit. Philz El Segundo: 1 My caffeine addiction: 0 Definitely coming back.

Dol is located in a busy strip mall, so the free parking directly in front can be a little tight, but there is additional parking around the shopping center. When you walk in, the space is open and spacious with plenty of seating and tables. I've seen customers working on their laptops, as well as groups sitting together, laughing and enjoying their drinks. It has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is easy. The menu is displayed above the counter, and they also have handheld menus available. I had a few questions, and the cashier was very helpful in helping me narrow down what I wanted. You can customize the sweetness level of your drink and add extras like boba. Once you decide, you place and pay for your order using the ordering screen. The prices are reasonable, the drink sizes are generous, and the wait isn't long. They usually bring your order right to you. My favorite so far is the Coco Matcha. I enjoyed it so much that I've already been back! Dol specializes in Vietnamese coffee drinks, but they have plenty of other options as well. Definitely worth stopping by.
