I did a 3 restaurant tour today of chili fries and pancakes and looking at the Yelp Photos, I expected Ted's to be the best of the 3. It turned out to be the worst of the 3. I suspect having multiple restaurants in this economy is forcing Ted's to cut corners to keep all of them open whereas a single mom n pop can focus all their energy into one restaurant. The food I got doesn't look like the Yelp photos. The pancakes were typical diner cakes with a rubbery texture. Could be undercooked slightly. The chili fries didn't have a robust chili flavor. Everything here is solid. Food is well seasoned, portions are generous and the service makes you feel at home! Plenty of free parking. They do have a drive-thru. They have renovated a few times and the place always smells clean. Prices are still affordable even with inflation. read more

Went here today after church. Brought a family of 11 with me. Ordered at the front counter on what they wanted from the menu. Menu had assorted Mexican food, hamburgers and sandwiches. Received our food within 10 minutes. Service was very fast! Took a bite from my Carne Asada burritos with some Onion rings. All was fresh and tasted good! There is no waitress but the workers behind the counter kept checking on us. Refilling our drinks. Overall, this place has great service and good food. The workers are very nice!! I searched for breakfast spots near Vermont and the UCLA Harbor Center, and Ted's burgers in Carson, 2220 and main popped up with 4.0 stars--so glad I stopped by! This cozy, family-owned restaurant did not disappoint. I ordered their avocado omelette, loaded with bacon and cheese, served with crispy hashbrowns, plus a coffee. Everything was delicious! (Check out the pics!) The place is spacious, conveniently located near the 110 freeway, and even offers patio seating. The staff, especially Gaby, were super friendly and helpful. A Carson staple! I've been going here ever since I was a kid. I think I've gone here in every stage of life and I still love it until this day. It's one of my comfort spots. The food is still like it used to be when I was a kid (go-tos are the pastrami sandwich, chili cheese fries with pastrami on it, zucchini fries, and all meat burrito). This place has been here forever! Been coming here since I was a kid! Located next to St Philomena, it's usually always decently occupied. The food is good, but remember that its a hole in the wall w your standard fare. We usually come for breakfast and order the same thing. Went here to pick up some Asada Fries my wife wanted for valentines day. I did skim though the menu before ordering and everything was fairly priced. The service was top notch and the workers freely conversed with the patrons. The place gave off the vibe of what Carson was like in the 80s. People just getting along. My order only took 5 minutes to make and it was very hot. It took me 30 minutes to drive to my wife's workplace when we started to dig in. The food was still warm at that time so that was good. Fries were salted just enough, cheese was gooey, and the Carne Asada was very delicous and juicy. My wife kept raving about the asada fries during her lunch break haha. Plenty of parking along the side and in back. There's a drive-thru for takeout orders. Inside is clean and simple. Go up to the counter, the menu board is easy to read. Order, pay and have a seat. There's also a covered patio along the front. I had your basic, scramble eggs, bacon, home fried potatoes and buttered toast. Delicious. The bacon had just the right amount of crispy existence. It's a neighborhood favorite located on Main Street and 220th in Carson. I grew up patronizing Ted's Burgers and as my parents and I are on the verge of saying goodbye to the South Bay, I have to leave a review. I've frequently gotten zucchini fries, chili cheese fries, and horchata at this Ted's. It's like home. It might not be the crispiest fries or as much meat or cheese as I would like, but the staff are friendly, always cooked to order, and still satisfying.
