Let me start by saying the customer service is amazing. Everyone who works there is friendly, welcoming, and provides excellent service. That said, the food has changed. They used to be known for their incredible fried chicken dinners, but lately the chicken has been dry, overcooked, and fried too hard. They also now charge extra for many items that used to be included. On the positive side, their charbroiled hamburgers, pastrami sandwiches, and steak sandwiches are still delicious and full of flavor. I really hope they go back to the way they used to prepare their fried chicken dinners because that's what made this restaurant stand out. I work nearby and there's about 6 restaurants in the area and I hadn't tried this place (yet). I was surprised that this location existed as there is Carson Burgers located pretty much across the street. Not sure as to what I wanted to eat for lunch, I was leaning towards a cheeseburger and fries, and I was not disappointed (with my food nor the price). I ended up ordering the cheeseburger combo which came with fries and a drink. I ordered my patty well done along with the fries crispy and I forgot to order it without mustard and thank heavens it doesn't come with it (just mayo). Burger was cooked to perfection (well done but not dry) & the fries were piping hot and crispy! I also appreciated real ketchup bottles at one station along with a help yourself to the little yellow hot peppers! Will definitely be back and glad this place is around to give Carson Burgers some heated competition (haven't tried a cheeseburger and fries from Carson Burgers yet)! read more

First off, the moment I walked in I noticed it was spacious and clean. I'm taking about the floors, tables, benches etc. I didn't use their restroom so I can't say much about it. They do have kids menu options which was good for us, we have a toddler. He loved the meat and fries. My husband and I ordered the cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger combos. They came with a generous amount of fries and a drink which could be refilled as many times as you'd like. The burger review: Cheeseburger - My burger was thin and fully cooked (which I liked). It came with their house special sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. The only regret is not having ordered more onions on my burger. I also feel like their double cheeseburger would've been the choice to order since the meat was thin - not a bad thing, but I could've taken down a double for sure. Bacon cheeseburger - (in my husband's words) burger was cooked just right. The special sauce is great. To me the fries were a little dry, but it's really about the burger. The burger is bomb. Fries come and go, but a good burger is hard to come by. The service was great. They have a nice and friendly staff. Giving it a 4 start only because the fries were a bit off, I'm sure they could be a bit better to make this meal a 5/5. There was another young family coming in with a baby as we were leaving. $16 Club sandwich combo down the drain. My soda had no fizz tasted like sweet water. My club sandwich was so disgusting , way too much mayo. I had to dab with a napkin on both sides of my sandwich cause i was basically biting into alot of mayo. Had to throw out the rest of the sandwich tasted disgusting , couldn't even taste the bacon or deli meat CAUSE THERE WAS WAY TO MUCH MAYO!!! Okay I have probably the funniest story about this place ever. One time, my dad wanted Apollo's.. We arrive at 10 minutes before close. The lady at the drive thru window wasn't answering at the speaker, so we pulled up to the window. She starts shaking her head and doing the "cut it" hand gesture and says "we close". My dad says "I thought you closed at 10? What time do you guys close?" The lady looks at her watch and says "we close at 9:50". That saying has since been an inside joke in the family for 10+ years now. Oh did I mention the food was bomb asf? The bullet holes in the windows add to the ambiance as well, always was in awe of these as a kid and wondered why it was never fixed.. but reflecting now I am glad it never was fixed. This time they really let me down with bad customer service, I went in to order in person today, Monday at 3:30pm the lady with glasses had zero patience and kept rolling her eyes as I ordered. Once my food was ready I grabbed my bag, I simply asked her if the burger with no onion was labeled she didn't even say a word instead gave me a dirty look and nodded her head. Just to get home and find out the burger wasn't even labeled. I will not come back after dealing with that lady and such bad service. My family frequently visits Apollo, as we do like their food and my son enjoys the chili fries. Usually if we go on a Friday I tend to go inside, since the owner is usually working and I'd rather not interact with him. Tonight we decided to grab some food and I went thru the drive thru since I did not see the owner and one of the cooks took my order. I pulled up to the window and the owner was there. He is one of the rudest people I have ever come across and should not be interacting with customers. He walked up to the window with 2 of my 3 drinks. Pushes the cup holder towards me and lets go before I can even grab the handle. Does the same thing with my order once it's done, rushing me away while I am trying to tell him I was missing a drink. He looks at the receipt and repeats my drinks which he did incorrectly. I told him no and said what drinks were ordered and what was missing. As I'm trying to talk to him he walks away without saying a word. One of the girls who works there walked up apologizing and asked if I was only missing the drink. She gets my drink apologizing again, I let her know she is not at fault and has nothing to be sorry about. Her boss is rude and should not be taking orders if all he cares about is getting rid of the customers. His actions were very uncalled for. I would also like to note that I was the only car in the drive thru, and there was 1 car in the parking lot. It's not like they were to busy that he couldn't practice good customer service. read more

Been going here for all my life I'm 32 now, just recently went here today & order the chili cheese fries and was so sad that they changed everything, they changed the chili which was amazing they changed the cheese that complemented the chili the only thing that's the same was the grilled onions. Out of all the times I've been to Apollo Burger, I've never had an issue until today! I ordered Carne Asada fries and asked what comes on the fries. I was told Cheese and Meat, so I asked for a side to Pico de Gallo. I was told they don't carry that. Okay no problem! I get to the window and before driving off I ask for Lemon or Lime. The cashier who has already dealt with 3 cars before me, took my card and gave me a receipt goes to get a small bag, has NO GLOVES ON! Puts his hand in the bag to open it and reaches into the lemon bin with HIS BARE FINGERS grabs two lemons and the puts them in the bag and hands them to me. I should have drove off when I saw him grab the lemons with his fingers and not tongs, but I was too stunned. I said thank you and drove off. Again, I've never had issues with the lady that's usually there, but she wasn't there today, and then I dealt with this. I loved coming to Apollo Burger, but I can't go back now. Not after this. Not sure what rating this location has, but after this that's a F for me! SMH! Not sure if the guy was new, but this is definitely UNACCEPTABLE for a restaurant! Gentleman at the drive thru is by far the rudest person I've ever come across. It saddens me because Apollo burgers has been me and my family's favorite place to go to for chili fries since the 1990's. The gentleman at the drive thru window basically threw my order of chili fries at me and with the container box open. Luckily I looked at my order (which was an order of chili cheese fries), the cheese was not melted at all. (Looked similarly to a Cesar salad smothered with shredded cheese on top) When I asked him why the cheese was not melted he screamed at me and said "what did you expect ? What do you want us to melt the cheese for you or something?" I was appalled at how rude he was being. I politely responded "well yes, I didn't realize this is how you guys serve your chili cheese fries now" he grabbed my order from My hands and told the cook to microwave the cheese for me and told the lady who also works at the register and they started communicating to each other in Spanish. The lady who works there also has a terrible attitude when working at the drive thru. Definitely the last time I will be coming here. Terrible customer service, the employees there have the worse attitudes. They also love slamming the window on you after you pay and after they give you your order at the drive thru. Terrible in every single way. Not sure if this place is under new management but they should definitely work on better customer service. If you hate where you work. The Cheeseburger is my favorite! Second go to are the Onion rings which are flakey.
