I usually have a little something for breakfast but was unusually famished so I stopped in for a breakfast burrito and damn, was it tasty!!! I got the Ortega chile, bean, and egg breakfast burrito with cheese. It wasn't spicy at all but it did come with a side of salsa and I got some torrido peppers. Restaurant was super clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I'm looking forward to patronizing this place many more times and trying out their other menu items for lunch. Stopped here to grab a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. They have great lunch specials and are serving up many of the traditional items you would see on diner menus. I ended up just ordering zucchini fries for myself and they were delicious. I also tried some of their chicken which was good too. The service was nice, she gave good suggestions for meals. Food is ok. Service is subpar, which I guess for a joint like this is to be expected. A massive issue is the price shown on the menu is different from the price you pay. This place has quite a menu. Everything is pretty much delicious, especially their burrito. I've been coming here for their breakfast burrito or their Asada Burrito. Both are great choices. Today was something different. I was craving for something usual like chicken, and they have few choices when it comes to chicken. Go together with some friends to have something to eat, a last minute idea. The restaurant was very clean, with a large menu selection to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable and the portions good. I had the blueberry pancakes, all my friends enjoyed their choices very much. Is it "fancy", no it's not. The cost of good food! I've been coming to this restaurant when it was call "Frontiers". It's always been a staple in this community and known for its burgers. Recently things have changes since along with management: Service 3.8/5: I enjoy seeing some of the same faces that have worked here lately. They are attentive and ready to serve you. However, there are a few new associates that may need more training. Food 4.5/5: same menu, same great burgers, same large portions. For a grown man, one hamburger special can fill you up. Burgers are great and the chicken dinner is amazing. Chicken dinner also comes with salad and a toasted bread. These are my favorites, also try the chilli fries! Price 2/5: this was the only thing that brought this rating down. Being apart of this community and frequenting here weekly, I've notice the price changes. Since the change in management, pricing has risen faster than inflation. Understandably from a business perspective, however I miss the 3 dollar large fries and 7 dollar hamburger specials. Ok so.....this place isn't a fancy steakhouse but I'd rather eat here than Applebees. That being said... Staff is always great and the food is always satisfying. Great selection of food and my favorite is the Ortega burger or maybe it's the pastrami burger. The Ortega breakfast burrito is amazing too. I've given this place multiple tries and each time it's disgusting. I moved to the neighborhood right behind Alea six years ago and I tried them not long after I moved here, it was bad then and it has not improved. This morning my bf went to just get me hash browns and two over medium eggs. So let me tell you, the hash browns were not hash browns at all, it was simply a mound of potato mush that was very lightly browned on the outside and then the eggs were actually over hard with a very rubbery texture. I took a couple of bites and then it went in the trash. I didn't know you could screw up eggs and hash browns so badly but Alea's has managed to do it. You've been warned. read more

I love Alea's, I love their service and food and I would give them 5 stars, but time after time their employee Martha has messed things up. Often I ask for the veggie omelette and she always confuses it for a Denver omelette, they don't even sound the same. I asked for a crispy chicken club with bacon and avocado and I double checked asking if she got it down and she says yes, and I get home and there's nothing there. The first time I came, I got a turkey burger and it took me back to when I was in college. I literally was obsessed with my campus pub. But this time, I got a hamburger combo. I was so so excited to come back since I thought the first time I came was top notch, but this time was in a league of its own. The hamburger was so fresh, the veggies were crisp, the sauce is absolutely delicious, and the bun is so soft and delicious. Don't even get me started on the fries. Typical burger spot but they have a wide variety of other food options. Chilaquiles, taco bowl salad, and bomb breakfast burritos. My kids love the french toast and pancakes. You get 3 pieces of chicken which was your typical breaded strips (nothing special), but the real crime here were the dry ass fries, no greasy deliciousness!
