The french fries are great. The atmosphire is great also.The veggie stuff is worderful!! I can't wait to enjoy their food angain!!

Has it been a decade since my last review?! My how time rolls on through so fast! I've come through a few times since, but it's been a long minute since my last run. Why I haven't updated my review is on me... ... and so here we are! GodNiece came through and wanted to do food delivery from here. I'm so happy to learn they now have my go-to shrimp and oyster po'boy on the menu! (I had to make a special request for this on my last run since it wasn't on the menu at the time) so I went for that again. I also asked for the bread to be toasted (forgot to do that on my last run, too.) And, boy, oh, boy! They are consistent! They didn't skimp on the shrimp and the oysters, bread was perfectly toasted and kept all the ingredients in and each bite was just down right delish! And because the handheld meal was so big, I was only able to consume half and save the other for the next meal... which is when I realized I forgot to take a picture. Heh.... Hubbers, GodNiece and her husband loved their picks as well. This place is now on our list of dinner rotation for when they come through. Woohoo! read more

Service was horrible. Ambience is cold and not welcoming. Food would be the only thing I cannot review. The lady preparing the food was rude when I told the lady at the register I would like a refund due to having to wait so long. The lady preparing the food commented it's made to order. I understand when food is made to order. It can take a while but when you only have three customers I shouldn't have to wait 20minutes for a cold cut sandwich. I only have a 30min lunch break. Was only tryna support local businesses and treated like a peasant not cool. Hope they can fix that problem. read more

Didn't wait that long, clean place, nice bathrooms, friendly staff. The bread for the sandwiches was top notch, and the gumbo was a great portion with big flavor. Definitely one of the best Louisiana food restaurants in LA. read more

A true taste of Louisiana, right here in Carson! First, the shopping center is currently under construction but the shops are still open! I was in the area and excited to try Orleans & York after seeing them on Instagram. Upon entering, the service was fine. The young lady at the register was nice and answered a few questions about the menu. The inside is a simple, order at register then find a table setup. I ended up with two items: - Catfish & Shrimp Po'Boy - 5/5 - this is the best Po'Boy I've had outside of New Orleans. The batter on the seafood was seasoned to perfection and the bread was freshly baked. Top tier, all around! Dousing it with their "sami sauce" was absolutely fire! - Big Easy Spicy Chicken Sandwich - 5/5 - chicken was juicy and surprisingly still juicy after being dipped in hot sauce and the potato bun was perfectly grilled so it didn't get soggy. Solid sandwich! - Fries - 3/5 - standard frozen seasoned fries, nothing out of this world but solid. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area. I've lived in Carson for many years and somehow never tried Orleans & York - until now. I honestly don't know why I waited so long. This was my first time ordering and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Dirty Egg Burrito (no egg), Large Dirty Rice, Cajun Fries, and the Large Poultry Gumbo Soup. The flavors were bold, well-seasoned, and comforting. The burrito was so good I planned to save it for breakfast... but ended up eating half for dinner instead. The dirty rice was full of flavor and generously portioned, perfect for stretching into multiple meals. The gumbo had plenty of broth, which I personally appreciate, and I already know mixing some of the dirty rice into it later is going to be amazing. The Cajun fries were well-seasoned; I prefer mine a bit crispier, but that's just personal preference and didn't take away from the overall experience. Everything was packed well and arrived in great condition. Overall, this was a great first experience with rich flavors and satisfying portions. I will definitely be ordering again - and next time, I'll be dining in. read more

Love this place. The environment is super cute, they are doing some construction in the area so they look closed. We purchased the catfish platter with fries, potato salad, and the fried salmon po'boy. The hubster enjoyed the catfish platter, however my po'boy was swimming in Mayo, it was difficult to eat, I attempted to scrap the thick white layer that looked like thick cheese off the sandwich, but it was still overflowing with Mayo. I tried to add hot sauce to drown the Mayo but nope... I will definitely go back , however they will need to HOLD the Mayo next time read more

Orleans & York Deli in Carson is such a great spot to grab a fresh, delicious meal! The place has an awesome vibe, warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. I stopped by for lunch today (I work right across the street at California Credit Union), and I have to give a special shoutout to Deyahna. She's beautiful, phenomenal, super friendly and provides amazing service every time! If you're in the area, definitely come by to enjoy the holiday vibes and great music. It's my second time to this location and they move pretty fast in this cute little deli in Carson. Our cashier Mya was kind and helpful as we ordered our delicious Po' Boy and Hero sandwiches. I really enjoyed the food here! I ordered the catfish platter with a side of rice, the mo's fave po'boy & some banana pudding to top it off. I drove all the way from upland to come here to get Gumbo Mumbo over rice so I asked the guy was shrimp in it he said yes so I placed my order got my food and hit the freeway to go back home.. I get home the Gumbo Mumbo Fries was good but my Gumbo Mumbo wasn't the rice was mushy and it had no shrimps at all just all overcooked chicken I paid $65 it was so not worth it I'm very upset and disappointed it was a waste of my gas and time this is not the first time I had a problem with this location but I decided to give them a third chance but 3 strikes and your out I will stick with the slauson location never again will I waste my time and gas to be disappointed....... read more

Not only are the folxs who run it dope, the vegan menu is some of the tastiest and most robust menus for a generally non-vegan establishment! Orders are fast and hot! Lousy Service It seems the service at this popular eatery has taken a nosedive recently with new staff at the counter. Ordered a mumbo gumbo over the phone, specified no shrimp. Arrived to pick the order and there was shrimp. I was told they could 'pick out the shrimp'. The order is for someone who is allergic to seafood, hence the specification of no shrimp. To make a new order would be a 10 - 15 mins. No apology nor consideration. This person called Allisa also claimed she is the manager. I have been patronizing this establishment for many years. Disappointed. I asked for a refund  and won't be returning. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The portion sizes were amazing! My favorite thing I had was the chili cheese fries and the chop cheese. The food options is very wide. I love that they also have a lot of vegan options too. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel important when I made my order. I've been telling my friends about this place all week. I live near the Carson location, but I feel like it's under new ownership or management. My sandwich was filled to the brim with olive salad so much so it was overwhelming vs complementary to the meat. Also this is NOT the same quality meat, it's not even the same vibrant color meat that looked and tasted fresh that I have in my previous pictures/post! Chips and a sandwich was $18 and some change and for that I'd like the same quality and amount of meat that's been on my sandwiches for the last 10 plus years. We had a good run with Orleans & York but I doubt if I'd come back because of the change in quality. read more

The food is expensive. We ordered 3 entrees and it came to $70. I've had the dirty rice at another location and it was great. The dirty rice here was wet which I wasn't expecting. The fried fish was okay. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was interesting. The grits were flavorless and the sauce for the shrimp was weird. I was not a fan. They're selling sweet red peach cakes for more than the actually restaurant. Check your bag because we had no utensils, condiments, nothing. read more

This place served good food when they first landed in Carson. Service has gone down over the years. They hire people that don't comprehend very well when taking food orders. The food is not the best quality, and someone forgot to tell the chef you never give people the button ends of the food. Example: tomatoes, bread, lettuce... not when your paying high prices for food. Lately, I've noticed that the fish and oysters are not the best grade, the flavor isn't the best, nor the preparation. The desserts are good but I think they might be supplied by a 3rd party vendor. All that to say I wasn't happy with my food and the sami sauce doesn't make it taste any better. read more

2nd time at this restaurant, drove 2 hours to have it. The first time was at the Inglewood location which I was informed at this location that it is owned by someone different. Cause I've heard there is a difference In the 2 locations. Well I've gotta say, this location is definitely a step up over the other when it comes to the food, the flavors were more bold and hit just right. I switched it up this time and got the Philly Cheesesteak instead of the gumbo. Man let me tell ya the Philly was fantastic and easily one of the best I've ever had. We also got the pastrami sandwich, shrimp po boy, kids grilled cheese, and a gumbo over rice. Everything tasted great, good portions, and piping hot. The guy working the counter was Yusef, (hopefully I spelled it right) if not I apologize. But he was friendly and we had a nice chat about the different locations. The inside was clean and neat, wasn't busy when we went but when we were finishing up they had quite a few people show up.
