I waited nearly an hour for my food, and it was a complete waste of time and money. The orange chicken fries barely had any chicken on them, and what was there was over-fried, dry, and tasted off. Completely bland and unappetizing. The shrimp fried rice was even worse--it had a strange, unpleasant flavor and was absolutely inedible. I ended up throwing everything away. This place is clearly riding on Instagram hype, because the food does not live up to it at all. Don't get caught up in the crowd--you'll regret it. Chinese Combo is .8 miles from where I live. I went there on Sunday right after they opened. I ordered House Chow Mein, BBQ Pork Fried Rice and Orange Chicken to go. My order took 15 minutes. Now that I've been back, it's officially a five star establishment in my eyes. I got a chance to speak with the owners to understand why their restaurant stands out in comparison to your average chinese dine. Have you ever heard of made-to- order being done at a chinese restaurant? Well, that's what makes this one unique. You are allowed to customize your order. Normally you're only allowed to pick from what's displayed but at this establishment you would notice empty portion pans. This is because some of the chinese cuisine can become a bit soggy being placed on display for customers to choose from. For an example I requested egg rolls made-to- order and I must admit it was quite crispy with no sweet and sour sauce needed. The chicken is much crisper as well. Not to mention the portions are quite generousl. Not only did I give the egg rolls, fried chicken and pork a try. I tasted thai tea (green color) for the first time as well in their plastic unique made cups. Their food can be quite addictive. Along with my order I picked up a "Too Good To Go" order for my husband and he said that he loved the variety of meats that was put into his dish. You couldn't go wrong ordering on the spot, made- to-order or through "Too Good To Go", you would be fed fairly. These owners care deeply about their customers and very interested in their return.
