Ordered Chili Cheese Fries Price 8.12 Tipped 21% BEWARE of containers littered with ash. Specks found under the Top and bottom of the boxes. It was evident as I smeared it just to confirm it wasn't dust particles. Fries were limp and undercooked. Couldn't taste any salt at all. Threw away 75% of it as the meal was ruined. Didn't feel like paying ballpark prices for dinner at Angel Stadium so my wife and I ordered Teriyaki bowls from the Pit and picked up dinner for the kids before leaving for the game too. I prefer the beef but my wife went with the chicken. She liked the fact that their teriyaki sauce isn't overly sweet like so many other teri places. They did a great job with the rice this time too. It can be rather hit or miss quite often. The medium bowl is a great deal. A very generous portion of food for the price. A large would have been overkill to take to the stadium. I still had leftovers after the game so I'm glad I didn't go with the larger order. Calling the order in is definitely the way to go. The teriyaki burger I had here was pretty decent. For around $6, it was a pretty good price for sirloin meat. The meat was charred and I liked how the sauce it was covered in wasn't too sugary or thick. The meat could've been juicer, but still a good value relative to price. What I didn't like about this burger was how wet it was. The sauce combined with the liquid from the meat made the burger bun soggy and wet when unwrapping which was messy and wasn't ideal. They have a big and free parking lot located next to the restaurant. There's no tables or seating, so this is a grab and go type of place. They also only accept cash. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here again. However, if I was located near here I would come back for a cheap and indulgent meal. read more

It was just OK for me. Meat is super cheap with a lot of cartilage that made it extremely chewy. The bread was soggy with all the sauce drowned in it. Also, the fries are whatever and they give you cheap packets of ketchup and the customer service no smile or nothing. Overall not impressed about this long time staple. Been driving by this burger joint for approximately 17 years and never have it a second thought until just recently. Four days ago, I decided to stop by and check it out. It's a to go only joint. No place to sit unless you go old school 5-0 and use the trunk door of your shop as a table. 1st time I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, very basic, chicken and rice only. Surprisingly, there were big chunks of chicken and the sauce was no overly sweet or thick, it was perfect in my opinion. The small bowl was very filling. I told my wife about it and the next day I order a bowl for her to try out. At the same time I ordered a teriyaki burger for me. The burger was a mess when I got home, the bun was soggy with the juice of the meat and the sauce. Plenty of napkins needed; however, the charred meat combined with it's flavor and the sauce made this a perfect meal. Ate it like a savage with sauce dripping at every bite. Today I looked at some reviews and a Yelper noted that he would challenge anyone to try the chili and to disagree that this chili was one of the best ones around. Well, I accepted the challenge and ordered a chilli burger, in case the chilli sucked, I could always just eat the burger. However, the chilli is very tasty and not oily as some other places I have tried. I concur with the other Yelper and would say that this is one of the best chilli I've had in a long, long, long time. The location is nothing to write about but you can always close your eyes when ordering and they will be open once you take a bite, at least of these three items I reviewed. Service was friendly, but as others have suggested, call your order in advance. You might encounter a long wait when you show up and get in line to order at the window. This is a stand out teriyaki joint that is serving delicious food, and you can't go wrong with anything that's on their menu. My preference is a double teriyaki burger, which consists of layers of grilled teriyaki beef slices, lettuce and mayo, on a sesame seed hamburger bun. It is definitely like no other (and I've had others ). The burger can be very messy, but well worth the mess. After a couple visits, you should develop a method on how to consume this masterpiece with as little mess as possible. The teriyaki plates are well proportioned, and fairly priced. The best teriyaki burger I've ever had! You can call ahead and order pickup, or you can go to the physical stand (no seating available) and order there. The stand itself looks a little rough around the edges but the food was so good. We ordered a single teriyaki burger ($5.25 + tax) and a beef combo teriyaki dinner plate (meat, rice, salad and bread, $14.90+tax). The single teriyaki burger came with 2 slabs of teriyaki beef that was surprisingly chewy (in a good way). Our friend ordered the double teriyaki burger ($9.25 + tax) which came with 4 slabs of teriyaki beef; but I think the single teriyaki burger is perfectly balanced with the bun and lettuce. The portions are huge. If you get either the teriyaki dinner plate or teriyaki bowls -- you can definitely split it between 2-3 people and still feel full.
