I was craving chili cheese fries so I stopped by this place after my dentist appointment next door. They were so good! I opted for the drive thru, it took a little longer than expected but I'm sure it was due to it being around lunch hour. The drive thru employee was nice and even offered me grilled jalapenos which I didn't even know was an option but it sure gave the fries and extra kick! Extremely disappointed! I'll start by saying the customer service has always been shitty! From the moment you are attempting to order your being rushed to the time you get to the window it's almost as if you are inconveniencing the person working the window. That said, I come here at least 2-3 times a month. Today was the last STRAW! I stopped by at 9:10PM due to pregnancy cravings! Mind you the sign was in said open and all the lights were on, the worker clearly saw me waiting at the drive thru she could hear me bc I could hear her! There were 2 other cars behind me. I am diabetic due to cancer/steroid treatments. I thought I had a little more time to eat, but I stopped in here. My blood sugar dropped and INGRID helped me immensely, getting me sugar really quickly and checking on me. Not sure how long this place has been around. But from look of the building I think they might need to remodel. Nonetheless I've been to classics on Crenshaw twice so far. My first trip I went inside to order. Your typical looking burger joint. You can tell this business is a little outdated on the inside but you would never guess that by the outside. I ordered their western cheeseburger and boy was it BOMB. I only have one burger to compare it to because I can tell they modeled it after this one which is the western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr, classics is definitely better. The fries this time was a little overcooked but still good if you like crunchy fries. The wait took a bit long. My 2nd trip I went thru the drive-thru. If this is your first time coming DO NOT go thru the drive thru because you will not be able to read the menu as it is really faded and hard to understand. Again the wait to a bit long and not sure why. I got the same thing. This time the burger was a little dryer than the first time but the fries were better not overcooked they were nice and soft. Over all I just recommend you try this place for yourself because it seems to be one of those places where you have to catch them on a good day. read more

The food may be really good, but the person who was working the drive thru was so terribly rude that it actually made me never want to come back. Which is sad because i live around the corner and love going to small burger spots. I dont know the name of the person who was working the drive thru but it was a woman working on 10/25/24 around 8pm. Sorry guys, but would not recommend anyone to experience that. She completely makes you feel like youre an inconvenience for ordering food. She also forgot one of our sodas and i told her so she handed it to us and immediately slammed the window i hadnt even finished putting my hand back in my car. As I was ordering my food, she was rushing me and wasn't being polite. Went in today and the drinks were bad, tasted almost metal like, even though I swapped out drinks.definitely something wrong with the machine. There was a hair in one of our plates. They have delicious breakfast plates, juicy lunch combos and some dinner selections, I usually call in my order and it's ready within minutes. Their chili fries and onion rings are the best! There's a good amount of parking and the lot is always clean. The inside is a standard hamburger drive thru, but the service is as good as a sit down restaurant. read more

The bacon avocado cheese burger is bomb I loved it the burger is huge and will fill you up. The chili cheese fries are on point. This is a great mom and pops restaurant! Food is quickly prepped to order and service is fast and friendly. Amy is always extremely friendly when my family visits the drive thru. My family ended up visiting multiple times in the same week when we first tried this place because the food was so good and we wanted to try more. The food is hot and fresh and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The food is flavorful without being overly salty. We have yet to dine-in, but the parts of the kitchen and restaurant visible from the drive thru appear to be clean and well-maintained. I really like picking up the occasional fast food meal from this place. Normally I just pick up a burger and fries (which are pretty darn good) but decided to try out their breakfast for a change of pace. I ordered their chili cheese omelette and had them throw some avocado on the side. They placed 1/2 an avocado on there which was cool but it wasn't sliced which I found kinda strange but no big deal. I was so happy to find an egg dish prepared without finding any eggshells hiding in there. It always seems likes McDonalds, Jack, or even some mom & pops can't master the art of cracking a doggone egg without dropping pieces of shell in there. No such prob today. My wife had the pancake breakfast and liked the fluffiness of the pancakes. Bill was under $13. Win win. The selection of breakfast items is fairly extensive compared to other burger joints in the area so it's worth giving it a try. The building is old and the neighborhood has seen better days but it brings back memories of my first job working at a comic book store across the street during junior high and coming to this place when it was a Jack in the Box with the drive up clown head. A good alternative to Fabulous Burger. The burgers are fine, sometimes they go overboard on the lettuce though. The fries are always hot. They do commit the cardinal sin when it comes to drinks though, the majority of my large horchata is always ice. Just a fair warning... be prepared to wait no matter what time of day you go. If there are two or more cars in the drive thru, I'll just keep going because it is guaranteed to be a +20 minute wait at that point. Not once did someone come to the window to say "hi your order will be out shortly" instead the young lady with the head set was eating hot Funyuns and talking to her co workers. Like I said it's always been a family favorite so my husband came back same day at night to order a late dinner it was only 9 pm not sure who was working but the lady was extremely rude. New owners and the place is not the same. My partner got a cheeseburger and the patty was paper thin, mostly lettuce and tomato. I ordered the universal omelet and it was an overcooked, gloppy mess. Cheese on the burger and omelet did not melt, so you know they are using cheap cheese. Food did not taste well, asked for salsa and got ketchup. Even the iced tea I got was gross. Things didn't fair much better in the bathroom. I think when they took this place over they didn't make any improvements to it just the exterior of the building. Broken trash can and cracked floors. Needless to say not the same and won't be coming back. Raise the prices for sub par food is not the way to go. read more
