My filet was perfectly cooked, medium rare. I asked and received some creamy horseradish for it, which was delicious. The bistro salad had an Asian vinaigrette and was perfectly crunchy to pair with the filet. My peer ordered the Reuben sandwich which looked pretty amazing. Another ordered the meatloaf special on a bed of mashed with gravy which also looked incredible. We split two "butter cakes" which were so good. Yellow cake with an external crunch of sugar crystals, topped with a berry compote and whipped cream. Now, THAT was a standout among desserts. Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food. The eggs were perfectly cooked and oozed warm yolk over the flavorful fried rice after chopping up the eggs. This was the ultimate comfort food and was so satisfying. My friends ordered kimchi and chashu fried rice. I tried the kimchi fried rice and was blown away by how good it was! I'll be ordering that next time. Overall, Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop was awesome! The frosting was very, very sweet, so we ate around it for the most part. The candied pecans added a nice textural element without distracting from the cake itself. My friend also tried the Al Pastor Fish Taco. She liked how full it was, but noted that it was also slightly underseasoned.
