Great place for a weekend brunch! I think this is a newer location as there's a location a mile away which also gets very busy. So they're expanding which is a good sign. There's a big free parking lot which is a huge plus. Be ready to wait during brunch hours on the weekends. It's worth the wait though. On a Sunday around 10:30am, it was about a 45 minute wait for 3 people. Luckily there's a claw machine store right next door to kill the time. Once we got seated, the service was friendly and fast. The Loaded Hash Browns were delicious and a big portion. I do wish the hash browns was a little more crispy though. It's a nice clean diner with a country cooking feel. It's a small space so the restaurant has a very casual and cozy vibe. The posters and menu does look like it was made with AI which is really off putting. I ordered the Southern and the biscuits and gravy we huge, but surprisingly light and not too dense. It was pretty alright, but country gravy always is elevated by more pepper and some tabasco. The potatoes were well seasoned and the bites with the extra crisp on them were the best. The cinnamon roll pancakes were really tasty and the small bits of burnt cinnamon sugar were really tasty. Pretty cool place; it's best to call first and reserve seating because it gets really busy. We reserved and waited about 40 minutes. Everything was so very tasty. I had the quesadilla and it was nicely flavored with the beyond beef and it wasn't oily or greasy. It was a good experience. I'm glad I went. That was my first time at The Pan. There are two locations in Gardena, and this one has better parking and a more spacious interior. The atmosphere is lively and it's almost always busy. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They greet you when you arrive and also say goodbye when you leave, which I really appreciate. They have a separate kids menu with plenty of options. The overall menu is diverse as well. It's not just breakfast, but also tacos, pancakes, sandwiches, and salads. My go-to dish is the Original Loaded Hash Browns. It's really delicious and the portion size is just right. I also tried the Cobb salad with added chicken. It was fresh, but the dressing was a bit heavy and slightly salty. Unfortunately, I found a small piece of plastic in it, but when I mentioned it, they handled it well and removed it from the bill. We arrived and unfortunately it was a 45min wait for a table, but we were set on eating there so we waited. The service was friendly. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us regularly. I was able to catch this place when it was not too busy, thankfully! By the time I left, it was almost full. I started off with a Mangonada which had plenty of chamoy and tajin. It had a decent amount of sweetness. I think the tajin balances out the flavor. Then, the clam chowder. I was sad to know that they no longer serve it in a bread bowl, but nonetheless, this was very good. It had a ton of clams, which I love!!! In most places, you're lucky to get 2 tiny clams in your bowl. Their clam chowder was delicious! On to the main course. I ordered the fish n chips. We had an option to substitute the fries and I chose the yuca fries. I like them, but I think regular fries is a better match for the fish. I also ordered the Mediterranean Omelet with egg whites. It comes with toast or an upgrade. GET THE UPGRADE!!! Their pancakes are so fluffy and delicious, you'll be disappointed if you went with toast instead of a pancake. Then finally, closed out my meal with a latte to-go. Latte is gooood! If you have the space, or just want something warm, I recommend the latte. Solid brunch place in Gardena! I was recommended to go to this location because of the big parking lot and it was a very nice perk! I will say I came at 10 am on a Saturday and there was a bit of a wait. The food itself is good in the way that comfort food is good. No frills. Not that aesthetic. Does it have the best of anything I've ever had? Not at all. But it really hits the spot when you want a classic American breakfast and the ambience and good service is what makes it so great. We both got the Lumberjack ($20) but I upgraded my pancakes to a specialty pancake for an extra $2. The Lumberjack is a solid breakfast plate with house potatoes, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage and your choice of 2 eggs with 2 pieces of pancake included. If you want all sausage/all bacon they can accommodate that as well with no extra charge. The house potatoes were a good texture even if it doesn't look like it. Not the biggest crunch but still had a crunch. Not mushy at all. I did enjoy the bell peppers mixed in! The bacon/sausage is nothing to write home about. Salty, greasy just like you would expect. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. I did enjoy the extra nuts and bananas in mine but the regular ones were good too! Syrup is in a bottle on the condiments basket. The syrup itself is very mid, very whatever, but I do believe they have maple syrup on the menu for an extra charge. Our server Rudy was incredible. He's super friendly and kept checking up on us, asking if we wanted refills of coffee. He would bring us extra napkins and coffee creamer too. He also took our photos for us! Much appreciated!!
