Chris, gave prompt service with my order the tortillas soup is pretty good too. Also the side cookies are good as well.

I'm not proud to admit it, but I probably eat Simply Salad 4-5 a week... and Simply Salad in Gardena is a big reason why. The ingredients are always super fresh, the macros fit my goals, and the Gardena location is incredibly consistent. The staff is always friendly, efficient, and they get it right every time. My top 3: #1 Chinatown Salad - with Far East & Asian Soy Mix dressing #2 Downtown Cobb - with Honey Mustard dressing #3 Hipster - with Pomegranate Vinaigrette dressing If you're looking for a healthy meal that doesn't feel like you're sacrificing flavor, this place is hard to beat. read more

Hi Cameron! Thank you for your enthusiastic response to my five-star review. Unfortunately, I posted it before my experience was actually over, which is why I only had photos of the restaurant's interior. I did not want to give Simply Salad a poor review, but I am updating my rating to two stars. This is not my first visit to a Simply Salad. I've been a frequent customer of the Redondo Beach and Ladera Heights locations for over five years. Afterward, I looked at your one-star reviews and noticed a recent review from Gee P., another African American customer, who expressed the same concern I experienced. While waiting over 25 minutes on my salad inside, I watched two Latino customers receive the restroom code. About 30 minutes later, when I asked for the code, the young woman came around the counter and entered it herself, shielding the keypad as though she were opening a safety-deposit box to ensure I could not see the code. Using the restroom is a basic human need and should not be treated as a privilege. As a Black small-business owner myself, I never want legitimate concerns about race to be dismissed as having a "victim mentality" or "turning everything into a race issue." That is not the case. African Americans experience disparities in treatment every day while spending our dollars in businesses where the owners or staff may not look like us. Seeing other customers receive the code and then being treated differently concerned me, especially after reading a similar review from another African American customer. I also waited over 15 minutes for a $19 salad, paid extra for steak, and the steak tasted like rubber. Lastly, I'd appreciate clarification on a question previously asked in your Yelp Questions section: Is this Simply Salad location franchised or owned by an independent small-business owner? read more

A nice spot when you're looking for something fast and healthy! Simply Salad is located in the corner of Gardena Marketplace at the former Starbucks locaiton. You can choose one of their Signature salads or build your own! All of their salads can also be made into wraps. I got the Thai It Up! salad since it sounded unique. It has Simply Salad Mix, kale, grilled chicken, carrots, crispy wontons, roasted peanuts, purple cabbage, cilantro, and red bell peppers. For the dressing, I got it with the Thai Peanut dressing. I got an extra side of dressing since I felt like it could have used a little more. Overall, it was tasty! Side note: their website has a pretty cool feature on the menu where you can slide left and right to see all of the ingredients nicely laid out in the bowl and then mixed! Really gives you a nice visual on what you can expect to get! read more

We placed our order online and upon pick up we were greeted kindly. Kira/Jira (can't remember her name) was so sweet & generous, she was finishing up our order and still managed to have a small conversation with us. My sister and I were very grateful for the experience. The environment was clean and calm. When we got home we ate our salmon wraps and salad, food was delicious! Definitely recommend you to try and we will be coming back. read more

Got to the Caesar wrap to go and it was pretty good! Only thing keeping the review from 5 was that the wrap fell apart since it wasn't wrapped all the way but that's ok. The place itself is very clean with lots of parking and seating available. The staff are also very friendly and attentive! read more

I love this place. I've only taken out from here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The salads and wraps are so refreshing and delicious.

Out of all the "build your own" Salad places I've tried, simply salad takes 1st place. There's just something about the combination of ingredients I get that makes it SOOOO good and perfect for my taste palette. TRY MY SALAD: Romaine+baby spinach Cilantro Edamame Corn Jalapeños Peperocinis Pickled onions Red onions x2 Grilled chicken Cheese optional Cilantro lime vinaigrette Mixed in medium TRUST MEEE ITS SOOO GOOD!! Also, they don't mix in the dressing for you anymore when you order on the app. :( read more

I ordered a Cobb Salad through the Simply Salad mobile app order much to my dissatisfaction, I found a hair on the dressing cup inside of the salad bowl. I contacted the restaurant and they had me email the photo. Waiting for a response and a refund or replacement salad. I've never had issues with Simply Salad before but finding a long piece of hair inside of a salad bowl was not a good experience. read more

I ordered a wrap yesterday and proceeded to ask the young man working for access to the restroom (he is Asian ). He refused to give me the code for the restroom and proceeds to open the door for me. But literally right after I came out a Caucasian man proceeded to ask him for the restroom and this young man tells him the code. Considering I am African American and paid for my food ahead of the incredible slow service. I can only assume it was a racial thing because why could you not tell me the code but feel free to yell the code to a Caucasian male right after you told me you couldn't do that read more

I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit, as it was unfortunately not up to the standard I've come to expect. In the past, staff have always been happy to accommodate my request for extra lettuce, and those experiences kept me coming back. Today felt different, and I left feeling disappointed. When I received my Caesar salad, the portion of lettuce was noticeably small -- far smaller than what I've received before. When I mentioned this to a staff member, I was told the smaller portion was due to my toppings being placed on the side. I want to clarify that I asked for the croutons and cheese on the side simply because I planned to eat the salad later and didn't want them to go soggy -- not because I wanted less food. For $7.50, I don't think the salad I received reflected good value. The plate felt sparse and underwhelming, and the explanation I was given didn't really address the core issue, which was the lack of lettuce. I've had many great experiences here before, which is why this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. I genuinely hope this was a one-off, because I'd hate for it to put me off returning to a place I've previously enjoyed. read more

I came for something quick and simple. I ordered their El Jefe thinking that since it's one of their menus but turns out it's faster if you order custom (it's like subway so I'm dumb for not realizing it) I was surprised It took more than 15 min to prepare my order when there was no body else in front of me just one online order and 3 employees. Minus one star. What disappointed me was that I ordered protein to be ON TOP as you can see from my receipt, but they still gave me chopped and mixed. Another star taken away. The flavor was good I just don't like that salmon is scattered around. There's a reason why I chose salmon to be ON TOP. read more

I'm a fan of simply salad however when ordering from this location the chicken was extremely salty I had to throw it out. I called the location to see if there is anything they can do about rectifying the situation but they said the only thing they can do is leave a note for the cook. I couldn't speak to a manager since there isn't one available until June according to the person I spoke with. I don't usually leave reviews but this was necessary because from the efforts it took me to eat the $15 salad my stomach started to hurt. It's also unbelievable that this salad is expensive for the times we are living in, yet Simply Salad cannot help in any way make my next experience better. read more
