Wife and I went here recently. She ended up with the Aussie style Chinese Chicken Salad with chicken for the protein. It cost us around $17 plus tax. Now...gotta keep in mind that food spots around Enclave probably have to pay a ton of money to rent their physical spots here, so I understand them and other places here having to charge more than other businesses elsewhere. The area is always nice, clean and organized. Staff is always super cool with great customer service. Seating area is good, especially since it is shared amongst the other Enclave businesses. Their cute little boxes with the logo make it look hella trendy; which fits their whole atmosphere. The actual salad wasn't bad and I would think vegans would really really really like this place more than us. Their chicken was seasoned pretty damn good. Wished there was more greenery, mandarin oranges for what we paid, but it's expected for a place like this. Stoke Salad is totally worth trying even at least once! Food (5/5): I am not a salad person, but I loved the food I ordered here! A yelp elite stated this is not a poke spot, and I somewhat agree. There dishes can come with either rice or salad and both can come with fresh fish you could find in poke. I had the best mate and there was a hefty amount! The tuna tasted fresh and everything in the bowl was harmonious. I'm not much of a health buff, but I truly appreciated how healthy the meal was while not compromising on taste. Price (5/5): Less than $20 for any poke bowl is an absolute plus for me. Ambiance (5/5): Obviously Stoke is found in the Enclave where there are multiple chairs and tables. On an extremely busy day I could see how it would get pretty tight since the tables are close together, but I never had that experience. It still works well in the fridge to be eaten later - as I did and actually finished it the following day as a nice snack after a late night out. My friend had mentioned that it appeared that we did not get as much as she has had in the past when we opened our boxes, but to me, it looked like a decent amount. I got their most popular item: The Barrenjoey. Had a great first visit to Stoke Salad in the Enclave Food Court. I ordered a salad, took a bite, and--surprise--red onions. Not my jam, and not listed on the ingredients. I brought it up to the cashier, who was super kind and understanding. A minute later, the owner himself came over to check in. I let him know the onions weren't listed and I was getting a new one--no drama, just a heads-up. He was genuinely receptive and said he'd update the menu to reflect the ingredients. I have not been to The Enclave in a while and was totally surprised by how many more food booths were inside. Honestly, it was overwhelming. I checked every open station and came back to this one. I really liked the options that this spot had. And while, yeah, it kinda is a salad, I hope people don't pass it up thinking it's only green salads because it's more than that. Although you can customize a bowl with whatever combination you want from their ingredients, I trusted them and went with the Barrenjoey with tofu! Really delicious! I love the dressing that was on this and how it goes with the noodles, the greens, and the tofu. Plus, the tofu had some really great seasoning on it all by itself. The people were friendly and it's cool that you watch them preparing things in the kitchen. They have seating that sits right around the kitchen. I really like that this place offers food that makes you feel light but full at the same time. Then I could go back out and finish working on my homework and not be falling asleep. We were immediately greeted by the server at the front counter, and he was so kind to offer samples of different dressings for us to taste. Stoke Salad is opening at The Enclave! I was eager to try something today, but they weren't open yet as they were still training their team. Luckily, the owner, James, noticed me waiting and later in the afternoon surprised me with an early taste of the Barrenjoey + Chicken. Since the creamy sesame sauce wasn't ready, he swapped it for the green curry lime sauce, and it was fantastic--refreshing, light, and full of flavor. The sauce had a little kick, but it was definitely manageable, adding a nice touch of heat without overpowering the dish. The noodles in the Barrenjoey added a great texture, making every bite even more satisfying. One standout ingredient was the ginger--it had a sweet flavor rather than the typical sour, pickled taste, which worked really well with the dish. I'm not usually a fan of ginger, but this one was surprisingly enjoyable! The portion itself was pretty big--I wasn't sure if I'd finish it, but it was so good that I ate every last bite. Pro tip: don't forget to squeeze the lime on top! Their soft opening is tomorrow, March 19th, with a limited menu, so definitely check it out! During lunchtime mid week it can get crowded and parking becomes a challenge. Other than that a very cool spot to have for lunch and not feel too heavy like you sometimes do after a big meal. The good: I tried an Australian native tea (strawberry gum with citrus notes of lemon myrtle) and an ahi tuna poke salad (curl curl) that came with rice, green papaya, pineapple, a kaffir-like coconut sauce, cashews and ginger. I loved all of the ingredients and loved the coconut flavor in the sauce. Everything tasted fresh and light. The tuna was the perfect texture and flavor (wasn't fishy at all) and tasted very fresh. It was refreshing to have unsweetened tea. I was glad it was caffeine-free because my toddlers were able to enjoy it with me and it was a bonus that it didn't have added sugars. You're given a buzzer so you can walk around while waiting for your food to be ready. Their signage was super cute with fun and unique font. The bad: The coconut sauce could have used a little bit more salt. The flavors were great but it was slightly on the bland side. The interesting: The cashier seemed like he was the owner since he was invested in knowing how we liked the dish and asked if we needed any more sauce (plus had an Australian accent).
