Poke spots are always a hit or miss and this place is definitely a hit! I love how the fish isn't drowned in sauce and it's a perfect balance to rice-fish ratio. They even offer snacks which makes the place different and better than the other poke shops I've been too. Staff are so friendly and make the place all so welcoming! Perfect spot to get for the beach or even to just hangout and chat.

    Poke bowl with yellowtail

Usually i go to the one in Whittier but we were in the area and when i saw they had yellowtail...i said we're going!!! Even tho its an upcharge i got ALL yellowtail (thanks to my generous husband) and the woman who helped us was SO NICE and SO WELCOMING and she explained how the owner really cares about using fresh sushi grade fish and lemme tell you, its obvious they do! The taste was unparalleled. Also their eel looked amazing and very big chunks! I wish i had gotten the name of the woman helping us because she really knows how to put a bowl together. Yellowtail's her fave too so she gets it. Plenty of sauce options, some of my favorites in fact, and they dont skimp on em either. Some places i go to i practically have to beg for a decent amount. This spot is a little different it seems like you can order on a lil clipboard and they'll bring it to you. Its a small area but they have outside seating too and everything is clean and well stocked. Truly this was an amazing day thanks to her!!! Parking is tough but well well worth it. If you think you've had poke rainbow before, think again! Do not miss this place ~

Tried this place for the first time and we will definitely be coming back! It was delicious, so many topping to choose from and portions were great! The service was nice and they were very friendly and welcoming.

Small bowl, brown rice + quinoa, double Ahi, avo, seaweed, pineapple, edamame, spicy mayo, yuzu, eel sauce combo

Love the level of personalization available and the help from the staff to make choices! Went by myself for a fast lunch and the service is fast and food delicious. super fresh!

All I'm going to say is that this poke is 10/10!! I've been to a lot of different poke places up and down the South Bay but this is hands down my new go to poke spot. I love their selection of different proteins and toppings! Everything was super fresh, the service was great, and the workers were really friendly! There's a few spots to eat inside and outside too so you don't really have to worry about seating. Overall, the freshness of the poke and the portion size is unbeatable. They definitely don't skimp you out either! If they had tam-ago it would make it an 11/10 for me. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! I'll definitely be back!

‍ahhhh. The crab salad is so fresh and so fire lol. first time poke rainbow customer here and wow! This is a small place in riviera village, with metered parking. Parking was easy for me as it was still earlier in the day can't say it will always be but this place is worth visiting. I actually stopped to get coffee nearby and I spotted it looking out the window! but for some reason this place just sounded good after going to the gym. When you walk in there are tickets that allow you to choose your items for your order. Once completed you hand it to the worker that will make your bowl for you. Service was clean and quick. I got a small bowl which allows 2 proteins, whatever you choose to add in for free and with certain items like avocado for an additional charge. You then choose your sauce and any dry toppings. I chose ahi tuna and crab salad, with brown rice. I added jalapeño, pineapple, corn, and edamame. For sauce I chose ponzu and added spicy mayo and for dry toppings I chose sesame seeds. This was one of the freshest poke bowls! All I needed was a small I couldn't even finish the whole thing. I'll be back often I love poke bowls!

i loved just ordering from a form instead of verbally and also the workers were super friendly and welcoming i had an amazing experience overall and enjoyed my poke at the beach. the salmon and scallops were my favorite so goodddd and fresh

Large Salmon w/ imitation crab, masago & sweet corn on spring mix, topped w/ crunchy onion and dried seeweed.

Best sushi deal in the village, but the people are what makes this eatery shine. They take the time to confirm how you want your items laid out in the bowl. They are All very friendly, welcoming and efficient, which speaks to a good culture & ownership. All its missing is an antidote to my addiction to their food :)

Came in again because they have me hooked!! You can taste the quality and the flavor is spot on, I crave it! My husband picked up and said the owner was so nice! Love this place I highly recommend it!!

This delicious poke place is situated in the middle of the Riviera shopping and dining area of Redondo Beach. It's always fun to go to eat or just walk here. The vibe of this place is very much beachy, cool and laid back and the servers are friendly and easygoing. While this place is about $3 to $5 more than most other places, their ingredients are so fresh and the area around their location is so nice we feel it's worth it for a splurge. A small poke will run about $20 without tax or a drink. They have outdoor seating making it possible to enjoy the great South Bay weather.

This is my go-to for a near home poké spot. When it comes to sushi fish, the price can be expected to be not so cheap, but the amount of stuff given in these portions are great. A medium is definitely enough for someone on an empty stomach, but sometimes a little extra is nice too. The fish is so fresh, and they don't lack on the amount they give. The ordering is one of my favorite parts about this restaurant. They have sheets in front of the store that you fill out, checking off the options for everything you want in your bowl, which you then hand in to make a payment, then receive your food. The parking for this is not the most ideal as it's near busier walking streets nearing the beach, with mostly metered parking around.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it has a really nice, cozy decor with cool Japanese characters on the walls. We went with their popular tempura combo paired with cold udon, and also grabbed a shrimp tempura roll. Everything was amazing! These guys absolutely know what they are doing when it comes to tempura, it's always perfectly light, crispy, and delicious. The service was also fantastic, super efficient, quick, and friendly from start to finish. Plus, having a parking lot in the back makes coming here totally stress-free. Another great meal down, highly recommend!

Worth the wait? I don't think so…read more After hearing so much hype about this place, I had to see what all the fuss was about. People talk about waiting 45 minutes to over an hour just to get a table, especially on weekends, so I decided to come during lunch instead. Luckily, the place was almost empty, which made for an easy visit. Going in, my expectations were high. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let the staff know and ordered the beef bowl and tempura combo instead. At around $20, I wasn't expecting cheap fast food, but I was expecting something that justified the price. The tempura was easily the highlight of the meal. It was light, crispy, and fried well, especially paired with the dipping sauce. If there's one reason I'd give this place any credit, it's the tempura sauce. The chicken tempura, however, was a different story. The coating was crispy, but the chicken itself was incredibly bland. It tasted like plain boiled chicken that happened to get dipped in tempura batter. The beef bowl was even more disappointing. Honestly, it reminded me of a Yoshinoya beef bowl--except it cost more than twice as much and came with a noticeably smaller portion. That's a comparison I never expected to make at a restaurant with this kind of reputation. The service didn't do much to elevate the experience either. Considering how slow it was during lunch, I expected a little more attentiveness, but it felt pretty average from start to finish. As for the atmosphere...it was fine. Nothing particularly memorable, nothing that made me think, "I need to come back." Maybe I ordered the wrong items. That's always possible. But based on this visit, I just don't understand the hype. The food was decent--not terrible--but nowhere near worth the long waits, the price, or the reputation it seems to have built. If you happen to be nearby and there's no line, sure, give it a try. But if you're planning to wait an hour because everyone says it's a must-visit, I honestly think you can skip it and won't feel like you missed out. Buyer please be aware.

The tuna had a balanced fat and was minced in a manner that I felt it melt in my mouth. It's a good match with rice. The Kaisen Bowl had a variety of seafoods and all of them tasted very fresh! The salty fish roe made the rice more flavorful. The Kaisen Bowl came with a miso soup and a salad. We also ordered a soba which was well cooked. We definitely will go back to try more dishes!

We were seated immediately with no wait during dinner time, and there's a large free parking lot, so getting in and out was hassle-free. The skewers were good overall, but one thing to note is that they don't have that smoky, charcoal-grilled flavor. If you're expecting a traditional yakitori experience, just keep that in mind. What we ordered: - Momo Kizokuyaki - 7/10 A classic choice. The chicken was juicy and cooked well, but it leaned a little under-seasoned, so it didn't leave much of a lasting impression. - Teba - 6/10 Chicken was kinda dry but seasoning was good. - Harami Beef - 7/10 The beef was tender and cooked nicely, but it also lacked a bit of seasoning. Good texture, just missing that extra punch of flavor that would've made it memorable. - Karaage - 8/10 My favorite dish of the meal. The portion size was just right, and the chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well-seasoned throughout. - Soboro Don - 8/10 This reminded me of an elevated Yoshinoya beef bowl--in the best way. It had richer flavors, better-quality ingredients, and the fresh ginger added a bright, flavorful contrast that tied everything together. Beyond the food, the service really stood out. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, respectful, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant was also spotless, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely come back. While a couple of the skewers could use a little more seasoning and that signature smoky flavor, the friendly service, clean atmosphere, easy parking, and solid food make this a spot that's worth checking out.

The chicken okra, edamame salad was cool and refreshing. The chicken skewers were dry, but the agedashi broth was so good I just dunked them in it. The Uni Truffle pasta was ok; couldn't make out either uni or truffle flavors, but it tasted great. It did leave a profound fishy aftertaste in my mouth though. The drinks and food as well as the setting of the restaurant gives ultra chill vibes - one of the better izakayas I've been to re drinks and food variety and quality. They have some premium wines here too, including Opus One and Kenzo. What would have made this a top notch experience would be once of those semi-private booths with the lower seating that some places have, but this felt like some places we've been to in Japan as well. The only thing I didn't love was that I spent around $400 here (LOL), but we all had a great time so that was fine. Food-wise, we tried the following - Gobo Chips - a friend recommended these to us. He said eating these when drinking will prevent hangovers, headaches, any negative effects, etc. I thought it was cap, but all that beer and sake, I felt great the rest of the evening and morning despite just a few hours of sleep. Large serving of these chips, nicely seasoned, thin sliced, great texture. Even my daughter enjoyed these. Uni & US Wagyu Beef Sashimi - how decadent! Very flavorful. A bit too much sauce for me, but otherwise good. Salmon Truffle Carpaccio - this was one of my fave small plates. Fresh sashimi with ikura. YUM!! Chicken & Green Onion Skewers - Pretty good chicken. My daughter even ate the onions without realizing. Amazing. Chicken Karaage - the daughter's favorite! Goes very well with the beer too. Assorted Tempura - nice assortment of shrimp and veggies, with the tempura dipping sauce. Ribeye Ponzu Steak - beautifully cooked and flavorful. We started with the above, and the food came at various times, but the waits weren't long so we appreciated that. We were still hungry, so we ordered some more stuff - Premium Sashimi - min of 2 orders so we did that. It was good, but I expected a lot more for premium sashimi. It looked more of a single portion, but beautifully presented. Chazuke - we got some for us all - both salmon and mentaiko. Best dish to end a meal at an izakaya. Warm dashi with the riceball in there, seaweed, topped with either the salmon or mentaiko. Subtle flavors, but really delicious. We then looked at a dessert menu and decided to go elsewhere for some sweets. Would def come back to try their pressed sushi, and if we weren't all picky eaters, we'd try their set meal as well.

I have eaten here only 3 or 4 times. The most recent was a retirement lunch for a work friend. We…read morehad a group of 11 and the handled it really well. They not only had a space that big, but it also felt private. The staff was super attentive. The food is great. I ordered a rainbow roll. All the fish was super fresh. Even though we had a large group, we all got our food at around the same time. It was a great lunch for our work pal.

We chose Ise-Shima at the Miyako Hotel for an early birthday celebration with my parents, wife,…read morechildren, sister and nephews. It should have been an easy win. The room is beautiful. The chefs are visible. The staff is plentiful. The music is good. The atmosphere feels like the kind of place that understands hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience never quite came together. The first challenge was the temperature. The dining room felt more like a sauna than a restaurant. To his credit, our server Arthur worked hard to help and eventually got management to increase the air conditioning. He was easily the standout of the evening and did everything he could to salvage the experience. We ordered extensively, including the $130 Ise Course. Some of it was quite good. Some of it was surprisingly disappointing. The grilled lobster with yuzu miso and kinome was completely overcooked, dry and buried under too much sauce. One of the signature dishes of the course ended up being one of the weakest. The grilled yellowtail suffered from the same problem: dry, overcooked and lacking the care you would expect from a restaurant presenting a seasonal multi course menu at this price point. The larger issue was organization. Dishes constantly arrived with servers asking, "Who ordered this?" or "Who has the udon?" The dining room felt strangely disconnected from the kitchen. Food runners seemed unsure where dishes belonged, which created confusion throughout the meal. Then things really went sideways. Trying to be respectful, I asked that my parents be served first. Everyone eventually received their meals and continued eating. The problem was that my Ise Course never arrived in sequence. My family finished their meals. My children finished. My parents finished. My sister finished. And on my birthday, I sat there alone waiting for several missing courses while everyone else watched. A seasonal set menu is supposed to feel paced and intentional. Instead, it felt forgotten. Arthur again stepped in and spoke with management. The restaurant offered complimentary desserts, which was appreciated, although somewhat awkward because my meal was still arriving while everyone else was already moving on to dessert. What happened next genuinely surprised me. When the bill arrived, management returned and asked whether we would be willing to authorize an additional charge so gratuity could be increased from 18% to 20% because of the size of the party. After the heat, the delays, the confusion, the overcooked centerpiece dishes, the missed pacing and spending a birthday meal eating alone after everyone else had finished, it felt like the wrong conversation to be having. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this because there is clearly talent in the building and Arthur deserves recognition for how hard he worked. But hospitality is ultimately about making people feel cared for. On this visit, despite a beautiful room and some good food, that never happened.
