Not only are the sushi and other dishes fresh and delicious, the service is excellent. The beer tower and sake (they have a great selection) washes the sushi down very well!

Loved the Negi Toro with fresh wasabi. Had 4 of them. Hamachi (yellow tail) was good as well. I will be going back.

This is easily one of the best sushi spots in redondo beach! My boyfriend and I came for dinner once Friday night and immediately were greeted with the most friendly staff almost immediately from the moment we walked in the door! The ambiance was so cute while they were playing early 2000s music! The food its self is some of the most fresh fish I've tasted while being here! I highly recommend this place as a staple sushi spot here! I can't wait to go back already! (:

I really enjoy coming to this sushi restaurant. The owner/host is always so kind and attentive and happy to help. And it's just a nice place to get away to for lunch, with some yummy food. I like to try different items each time I come and I've enjoyed everything I've tried thus far. I really like restaurant itself; the outdoor patio is a nice spot to eat and the booths inside are comfy.

I went for dinner with my bf at around 8 pm, and we sat down pretty quickly as it was relatively empty. This is my second time here, and the service is always fast; the servers are nice and attentive. It's a nice, cozy spot with light music playing in the background. The owner (I think was the person who spoke to us) was so sweet and informative regarding the food and drinks. We got an albacore double-double roll, which was excellent and had a nice crunch on top. The star of the show was definitely the sushi burrito! My boyfriend finally convinced me to try, and it is a must-have. It's light and flavorful, definitely recommend. Overall, always a great experience when visiting & recommend if you're in the area !

Truly one of the best sushi dining experiences I've had -- everything from the food to the service was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and comfortable. The wait time wasn't bad at all, and we were seated quickly in a calm and cozy atmosphere that really set the tone for a great meal. The food? Incredible. Each plate was a piece of art , fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As a vegan, I often feel limited when eating out, especially at sushi spots, but the veggie crunchy roll I had was delicious and satisfying. It didn't feel like a side option -- it felt like a thoughtfully crafted dish. I genuinely felt like I belonged, and that my dietary choices were respected and considered. That alone meant a lot to me. Now, what really made the night special was the service. Ava and Karen were our servers, and they were absolute gems. Both were so kind, attentive, and hardworking -- they made sure we were completely taken care of throughout the evening. They cleared our plates quickly, answered our questions with patience and a smile, and were always around when we needed something without ever hovering. I felt their genuine care. Their warmth and energy created such an enjoyable experience for me and my family, and it didn't go unnoticed. Cindy, the owner or manager, also came by to check on how everything was, and she was just the sweetest. You can tell she's built a team that cares as much as she does -- it really shows in every part of the experience. The quality here. from the food to the staff to the overall vibe, is outstanding, and the prices are more than fair for what you get. I'll definitely be coming back, and next time I'm bringing friends! If you're looking for a place with amazing sushi, heartwarming service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place. Can't wait to return!

Beautiful presentation, tasty food, kind and attentive staff. Extensive menu. Staff surprised us with a few sweet extras--a nice piece of cooked ono and a desert to share

I've been here a few times and each time, the sushi and the deals surprise me. They have awesome happy hour, lunch and sushi roll deals that keep the good times rolling. The service is amazing, speedy and kind. I always get what I order within 10- 15 minutes. The garlic edamame was a perfect balance of salty and savory! This is the perfect spot for a family outing or casual date. Highly recommend the pastries, too! We had their matcha cheesecake as pictured below and it was a wonderful and tasty surprise!

Standouts were definitely the millefieulle katsu - the pork ends up very very tender. The oyster katsu is also delicious! We stopped by at 4 pm on a Saturday so there was no wait. If…read moreyou can, try to sit on the left part of the restaurant - it's a much nicer, Japanese vibe :) Good service and easy parking (back lot or street parking) Fillet katsu and fried oysters: 4.75/5. I've tried the fillet katsu a few times, and most of the time it's pretty dry, but this time it was made well! The real star of the show though were the FRIED OYSTERS!! Enormous pieces of oysters that are so juicy, tender, fresh, not fishy at all... just wow. I finished my meal, but I'm already craving the oysters again! I wish they had a set with only fried oysters. Really liked their rice, side dishes, miso soup, and cabbage salad too, but their salad dressing is a little salty. Fried potato cheese mochi: 2/5. Would not order again. It was pretty bland, and it was just such a strange combo to me cuz they used American cheese. Gobo chips: 3/5. I had maybe 2 pieces that were good, crispy, easy-to-bite-through chip texture. The rest were so tough to bite through :( This has potential, but they need to work on getting the gobo to be softer Edamame tempura: 4/5. Exactly how you would imagine edamame with fried batter to taste! Nothing crazy. Mentaiko shisho mochi egg roll: 3.5/5. It was not bad, but I was a little confused by the slightly cinnamon flavor. Salmon avocado roll, negihama roll, spicy tuna roll: 4/5. Grouping these together cuz they were all nothing crazy, pretty standard. You can definitely find better, but it was a pretty good price ($6-7 per roll?) Lemon chu-hi pitcher: 3/5. Wish this was more lemon-y, and it was kinda watered down! Tasted more like sparkling water with a very slight lemon taste.

This was always one of the restaurants I wanted to try, so I was happy I finally got to visit haha. One thing is that the prices are high and the portion felt little small. You ever have that one friend thatʻs particular about food? You donʻt wanna call them picky, but…read morethe reality is they are? Well I do and last night I wanted steak, but not steakhouse steak and not Applebees steak either. I found Waraku while we were shopping at Walmart and figured it was nearby, they have seafood, which she will eat, and the quality looks prime. It is the corner space of an outdoor plaza, most known for the 85C Bakery off of Carson. If you enter the lot from Abalone Ave, youʻll see it right away. The exterior is very unassuming, but interior is spacious, clean and contemporary Japanese. The service is excellent and the quality is very good. I want to say the price is reasonable for the quality you are getting. It is more like a ala cart experience, so it can get pricey real fast! I did get my steak (Angus NY strip loin) and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. I wouldʻve liked it a little more charred on the outside, but it was still great. She got the A5 wagyu teppanyaki and crab which was very fresh. Those were off the appetizer menu so those portions were VERY small. We both ordered one piece each of shrimp tempura, which was really good (big, fresh piece of shrimp) and crispy clean batter. Iʻm still on the search for the best shrimp tempura tho. Iʻm talking light airy batter with the panko like crust. This wasnʻt that, but it was very very good. I need to go back for the daily seafood bowls, which looked like the real star here.

Food is a 4 stars, but because of the excellent staff service, 5 stars. We ordered: Mune kizokuyaki - chicken breast all spice (tare may be a better choice, but my husband wanted to try mixed spices since it was different) Unagi (eel) Teba (chicken wings) Very flavorful Ebi (shrimp) the head and shell were left on, so won't order it again as it's too much work to remove the shell and fingers get dirty) Tsukune (chicken meatballs) Beef harami steak with mashed potatoes & cabbage- only $2 more to add side mashed & cabbage Tori Q (marinated cucumbers) Agedashi Tofu Houjicha pudding for dessert (loved it) Drinks : houijicha tea and Sapporo beer Overall, for the price and the size, it's well worth it. Again, had better yakitori's elsewhere, but serving size is much smaller, so you end up ordering more; which means more $$$$. Service was also amazing and food came out quick. Our favorite picks are: Unagi, teba, tsukune, beef harami, & Tori Q cucumbers. Will come back again for sure to try other skewers/apps. I will definitely order the chicken breast/green onions in tare sauce next time as opposed the mixed spices. Here's the breakdown: Ramen: Must-get. Grilled Ground Chicken Rice Bowl: Must-get. Fried Seared Chicken Skin Chips: Do get! Kizoku Yaki (Thigh w/ Teriyaki): Do get! Shiitake Skewer: Skip. It was small and kind of dry. I walked out super satisfied. I feel for the people who were disappointed because they've been to other locations after the fact, but I noticed the menu is already changing (saw a couple of updated editions), so hopefully they keep growing. I'd attribute my good experience to the responsive waiter, getting seated immediately at the bar, and the fact that I crushed it with my order. I'm already thinking about coming back because we really need more yakitori spots for those "in-between" stages, like a late lunch or a late- day cravings when you just want variety and small bites. What was most disappointing was how rushed the service felt. About an hour into the meal, staff repeatedly tried to clear plates that we were still eating from, and we had to tell them more than once that we were not finished. After asking whether we wanted more drinks and hearing that we were fine, they brought the bill almost immediately, which made it feel like they were trying to push us out. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived before us were still comfortably dining and talking. We had also ordered more than enough food--honestly more than several other tables around us--so there was no reason for our table to be rushed out. Most restaurants typically allow at least a two-hour dining window, yet we ended up leaving in just about one hour because the pressure to leave was so obvious. Ironically, the food was actually excellent, but the staff's behavior completely overshadowed the meal and made it hard to even remember how good the food was. Since this was noted as a special occasion, the experience felt especially disappointing. Rather than feeling welcomed, we felt pressured to leave. Would not recommend this place for a birthday or any special occasion.
