Living in Carson for almost my whole life, I'm mad that, today was my first time here! I love crab like I love a designer bags so I should have known about this place. Anyway, its for take out only which was fine for me. John helped me with my choice of Snow Crab Legs in a mix of garlic butter sauce and lemon pepper with corn and potatoes and garlic bread. John said dipping the garlic bread in the sauce is amazing! I took his suggestion and I am glad I did! I went home and went in and EVERYTHING was amazing! It was fresh, full of flavors and spicy since I did ask for medium heat. It was just the right amount. OMG!! I will for sure be back here! Also the customer service was phenomenal! Just left the Carson location. This has become my family's favorite. The food is always good and fresh and the customer service is excellent. Danny is our favorite server. He's extremely attentive and ensures your dining experience is worth the price. Small things like changing the tv channel for the kids without being asked goes a long way. Came here today on a Sunday around 2pm after lunch and parking is pretty bad behind the restaurant so I ended up parking at the lot where Ralph's and Carl's Jr is located. When walking inside Crab Shack, their main door is broken and had to use the one on the side. They were pretty empty with two tables being occupied. We were greeted by the waitor and told us to sit anywhere. He quickly gave us water and served us right away. We ordered the three pound combo of just shrimp which is slightly more than market price but it includes corn, sausage and potatoes which is worth. We ordered a side of rice which is a large cup of rice as well as two beers. When checking in on yelp I noticed there's a offer for free Cajun fries with a purchase of $25 or more. I asked our waitor about it and he said he will ask the manager. Our waitor came back telling us they ran out of all IPA beers which is unfortunate. Within a few minutes of waiting our bag of three pound shrimp arrived and our server cut the bag for easier access. It was definitely on point with the house seasoning and medium spicy. It actually had some heat. Out of the three pounds there were a couple shrimps that were slightly overcooked and difficult to peel but overall majority of our shrimps in our bag was cooked perfectly. Soon after our waitor gave us Cajun fries which some were soggy and some crispy with some fries being super salty and some not having seasoning at all. These were not that great but I'm not upset since they're part of the yelp check in offer. Both me and my fiance were able to finish two pounds with having to take home the last pound of shrimp. This was definitely more than enough food for two people. Service here is great with our waitor checking up on us frequently. After packing up our food, we now get the bill and noticed they charged us for the Cajun fries which is part of their yelp check in offer. I asked the worker who gave us the bill about it and said he will talk to the manager. After talking to the manager, the worker told us that they they're not going to fullfil the yelp check in offer. I became upset and said they should've told us ahead of time instead of automatically putting in the order for it. They apologized and said there's nothing they can do. I ended up paying the additional $5.99 for it since I ate some of the Cajun fries that wasn't that great. Hopefully other customers will read this and will avoid claiming the yelp check in offer or else they will be tricked into paying an additional $5.99 for their meal. read more

I've been here a couple times. I've had the Crab boil with snow crab shrimp and clams. It was delicious. I've had their fresh oysters also delicious. I like coming during the week when it's not busy. The service is also good. I would definitely recommend this spot. read more

Better service. As my family and I are waiting to be seated, there are 3 tables that have not been cleaned !! While we're watching the servers standing around trying to act like they're working they could have began clearing out the table to let people that are waiting outside be seated. Do better please! read more

Been frequenting this place for a few years now and the seafood boils are always good, they could be a better market price for what they give but all in all the taste is there. Service is okay at this location but not big enough to stay and sit. It's nice inside and music is pretty good, the one in Gardena is a lot bigger and has more space. read more

Mmmmm, they might earn another star if I happen to slide back there. My partner in eating crime was satisfied but not overly pleased. Same with myself. I ordered the poboy cause i'm not that big of a boil ghuy. Their fries was good, but what made them lose a star is the toppings they used on the poboy. One of our favorite Cajun place. We typically order one of the combos, the sausages are yummy along with the seafood. Shrimp head on for best flavor. Order are usually quick and best if you order early and let your seafood sit in the sauce cow a bit so it absorbs the flavor read more

This is one of my favorite crab places and it makes it even better that it's right around the corner from my house. I have been a customer through COVID till now and they have always been so nice with great service. Even when just popping in for a quick lunch it's always been clean inside with great food and service. The Carson location is smaller so it can have a longer wait on the weekends but it's set up so you can still have your space while you eat. read more

I love sea food and i like places that remind me of "the boiling crab." That is the reason i came here. I got the Cajun fries and the king crab with cron potatoes and sausage. My boyfriend and I grabbed dinner from here last night, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, but our favorite part was the amazing service. I came here on Friday by myself and repeatedly told the waiter i wanted to dine in . When they called my order my food was packed to go. And i kindly told the other waiter I'm dining in and she said well you can just take the bag and sit at the table . The food was good until i started eating my crab legs and noticed the green gushy stuff they suppose to rinse off . Yuck read more

I love this place and have NEVER complained about them before. So They close at 10pm, and I walked in at 9:12 pm. One person walked past me and welcomed be in. Once I got to the counter, this girl tells me that they are closed and they already had "last call". I specified that it is only 9:12 PM and they close at 10 PM and another maintained that they are no longer taking orders and that it's the dining room that closes at 10pm...... so if I sat in, I could've ordered?....... Anyway, Literally makes no sense. I could see if I was 15/20 minutes to closing, but damn near an HOUR is crazy. Not to mention, her attitude SUCKED, she said what she said then walked off. They claimed she was the manager, but I'm calling on Monday. If y'all wanna leave early then actually list your closing time earlier. For now on I'll take the drive to Gardena or Long Beach! read more

I've eaten at the Gardena location where customer service is non-existent. This one is much better! Came here before getting ready for a concert during NBA All star weekend. It was kind of crowded. We had to wait a few minutes and service could've been a little better. We still had to ask for our drinks after food came. I ordered king crab legs. It's $33/lb. Crab tasted fresh and legs were a nice size. Their shack sauce is the closest flavor to BC's, which I love. It's on the thin side and very salty. I don't recommend it for anyone with high blood pressure. My friend got shrimp and king crab. We both liked the sweet pieces of corn. Potatoes were way undercooked. Check in to get a free order of seasoned fries. They were good. read more

The mood was for seafood. A girlfriend and I wanted to catch up over dinner, so she suggested this joint. Why not and I met her there. Street parking (meter) was full but there was plenty of spots in the parking lot (free). Its on the right after Hiccups. There is another parking lot two - three stores down as well. Its connected to Carl's Jr. It was a Wednesday night around dinner time, the place was almost packed but I managed to catch an open table. There was a large party celebrating a birthday. The decoration was typical of a seafood, shack eatery. There are a handful of televisions on the wall, perfect for game night. I ordered their fried oyster po'boy with a side of garlic fries. It was OK. The oysters had a strange texture. I've had fried oysters before so that experience was what I was hoping for but each it's own, right? The garlic fries were yummy and had fresh diced garlic. Service was good considering that there was a large party going on. Our server Jake was the right amount of attentive. Pros: - Local - Free parking - Reasonable price - Next to a boba and a churro spot. Cons: - No half pound orders. - Their strawberry funnel cake tasted oily. - They welcome solicitors. I went to pick up some food yesterday for my Husband's birthday dinner. I called beforehand but they only take phone orders if your order is under $50. I was a little bummed by this but I actually didn't wait long after I ordered at the restaurant. Maybe 10 minutes (which the gentleman said it will take) and it was ready! Currently they are open for take-out only and not dine-in. 2 lbs. of shrimp with sausage, corn and potatoes mixed in with an order of garlic noodles. No leftovers by the time we were done! read more

I gave 5 stars on the first review but Im changing to 3 stars this time. I was so dissapointing. I went on saturday(7/25) around 7 45pm which I know it was busy time for restaurant. Lot of people were ordering the food and phone kept ringing. We ordered 1 pound of shrimp with 2 corns, 1 pound of clams, cajun fries and 1 rice. This time they gave us so little. What I know is nornally between 20~24 shrimps in 1 pound, depands on the size. This time they gave us only 13 shrimps with very little sauce!! I had to scrape off the sauce to eat with my rice. Clam had some shrimp tail(skin) inside. I think they made bunch of orders together and just put it in the bag whatever. Clam was definitly small portion than last time. We had to fill our stomach with rice and fries and still wasnt enough. The food was tasty though. read more

The music was good and sports were available if that's your thing Cons: It took 30 minutes to receive our appetizers and at that time I was told they could not fulfill a portion of my order, I withdrew my order of rice and bang bang sauce. After 30 more minutes most of our order came out with the exception of the garlic bread. I was told that it takes a significant amount of time to make and asked if i wanted something else instead. I felt an hour for two burritos was excessive so declined adding anything else. Moments later my bread appeared. It took a full hour and some change to receive our order which I thought was unreasonable, especially since at this point we were the only patrons. Overall: Food was alright, reasonably priced, and portions were aligned with the price. However, I would recommend ordering ahead or anticipate a long wait time. When we went we were one of two patrons but it seemed they had a fair stream of take out orders. I frequent the area but do not live nearby and nothing caught my attention enough to return.
