The employees are rude, lazy and expect a tip. If it wasn't for the location and tasty food I'd have to cross this one off the list. Don't ever call in to place an order. The employees leave you on hold FOREVER!! I called over 10 times and when I finally got someone they immediately said hold on and left me on hold for over 15 minutes. My husband called while I was on hold and it kept going to an automated system saying there was no VM available. Not sure if this is an attempt to purposely tie up the line but It's quite maddening. I've actually sat in the restaurant, called and watched the employees ignore the phone while hanging at the register, screwing around in the kitchen and completely abandoning customers after they drop off the food! Creamy tomato sauce which included chicken, sausage, shrimp, bacon and crab (additional $4.99). Came with fettuccine noddles (I got it on the side so my toddler was able to eat it). King Crab Legs with potatoes and sausage added- so much food! The legs were meaty!! The sausages were plump! So good!!! Shrimp medium spiciness - cooked well, not over cooked. Came in for our cajun seafood cravings on a random weekday, this new restaurant is very well decorated with a fun and relaxing ambiance. Sister and I chose a comfy table in the back, patio seatings looked nice too but it was too warm to sit outside. The menus are typical but extensive Cajun seafood selections, we started off with Blue Moon and Sapporo draft, I love ice cold tap beers with fresh seafood, so comforting and satisfying. We ordered quite a few things to share, 2 lbs king crab legs that were $30 per lb that day, dozen of raw oysters, 2 lbs of crawfish, garlic noodles and Cajun fries that were free with Yelp check in. The seafood was very fresh and tender, we chose lemon pepper medium spicy for crawfish and garlic butter for king crab legs, the seasonings were so rich and flavorful that we enjoyed so much. Fries and noodles were not bad either that they were the perfect fillers. Food was very good mostly, the service was very friendly but a bit disorganized, they kept forgetting about things now and then. I'm between three and four stars. The service here is a hit or miss. Sometimes, you get really attentive servers and others? I've left here wondering why we come back. Nevertheless, we come back so it's obviously more of a hit. The food is as expected. You get your seafood as requested. You add in corn, potatoes or whatever you'd like. The fries here are delicious, as is the fried fish. I mean, shoot. Anything fried is really great, am I right? But there's something about knowing how to not over cook things, especially seafood. There's a good dynamic of staff going on here but at times, I've wondered about the table situation. It's not the most effective. The last time that I came here, the service was off but I'll be honest, I'm thinking of having this tonight, hah. I know there are reviews for long waits, disappointment but .. I was placed in the corner and was ignored which I understand but the food wasn't as good so it sucked. We ordered the Peeled shrimp add sausage add corn add potatoes mild: still spicy and was not as good as I thought. Better to save true few extra dollars and get the regular shrimp. But the potatoes were huge and honestly didn't have much flavor. The corn was great at least. We also ordered the fried oysters and fries: first off those fries are Cajun just a heads up and the fried oysters were just breading. I've been to many Cajun shrimp spot. This place was OK. I tried their CrabShack Style. It was kind of lacking flavor. It tasted like it was missing something or maybe that's just the way their mix was??? im not sure, but I was expecting their own kind of "shebang" I have to say their shrimps were good in size, I liked that. However, the kitchen was completely making what they wanted and not what we ordered/the waitress put jn... we ordered the #2 seafood combo, no sausage & a the fried shrimp with garlic fries.. combo comes out with sausage.. we send it back.. #2 time we indulged only to find 3 pieces of sausage...we tell the manager one of us is pescatarian the manager comes and "gave us her free meal". The food is amazing but the cooks don't wear gloves I witnessed them in the back playing around throwing stuff at each other eating the food as they are cooking it. the waitresses are goofy and play around a lot and they also add tips you didn't approve .. I ordered to go paid for my food didn't leave a tip and when I checked my statements I noticed the waitress added 20% for her tip that I didn't authorize ... I just called this restaurant that totes that they close at 10:00pm. Being that u have worked in the service industry for over 20yrs. I have never been to a restaurant that stopped for asking Togo orders more than 15mins before the restaurant closed. I couldn't even order of I sat in the restaurant. My business was turned away, which is why I made this post. At 9:45 should be the last call for food. Which is in 10mins. First impressions are super important and let's just say I wasn't too impressed. Ordered takeout and asked for Cajun fries and extra corn in my bag. Got the wrong fries and my extra corn that I paid for was nowhere to be found. I understand with the whole pandemic businesses are probably rushing to fulfill orders but at least get it correct. The quality of the crawfish was terrible, you couldn't pull the tail meat from the shell which was a sign of freshness. The shrimp looked cheap because some of them looked like they were cut in half and some missing heads. I have been going to this place for 3 years and it looks like the quality has gone down to reduce cost. This place needs to put quality over profits because from my experience I would rather go to Orange county or the one in Gardena. Terrible quality. read more
