Bettolino Kitchen nails the balance between upscale-casual dining and being family-friendly. The Highlights: The Food: The complimentary bread is delish, the handmade pastas are always on point, and some of my favorite dishes are the tuna crudo and the eggplant Parmesan. The Vibe and Service: They have a really nice covered outdoor patio and friendly/attentive service. Kid-Approved: They have an impressive kids' menu. My son loves the Bambini Box and looks forward to the Photo Booth. Always a great meal at BK.

Food: my mom and I initially came here for the Betto Box, and honestly that's what I would recommend to first-time visitors. What I loved most was the variety it came with. Instead of committing to a single thing, you get to sample several different items, making it a great way to experience what Bettolino does well in one meal. (Of course their handmade pastas are amazing, and their soft bread is always served wam hehe) Everything felt fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully portioned. It's the kind of lunch that leaves you satisfied without being heavy. Price: Most of the handmade pastas range about $25-33, starters are generally $9-25, and entrées can reach into the $30-40 range depending on the dish. Lunch specials and combination options help keep costs a bit lower during the day. Overall, expect roughly $20-50 per person and more if you're adding appetizers, drinks, or desserts. Given the quality of the ingredients and house-made focus, the pricing feels fair. Ambiance: The restaurant has a warm, modern California-Italian atmosphere that's comfortable without being too formal/fancy. It works just as well for a casual lunch, date night, or dinner with friends. The space feels polished but approachable, which fits the South Bay vibe nicely. Service: Service was super friendly, attentive, and professional. Food came out at a steady pace, and staff did a good job making sure everything was taken care. Overall, a smooth dining experience. Parking: Parking is relatively easy, there's a private lot available, which takes away a lot of the stress that often comes with dining out in busy areas.

We ordered the Pistachio crusted Halibut and the Braised Short Ribs which both came with mascarpone mashed potatoes! The food was delicious; the fish was cooked to perfection as well as the short rib and mashed potatoes are pretty much delicious most anywhere you go. The service this visit was a bit slow even though they stated to us before we sat down that we'd have a 2 hour limit to our reservation. Granted it was quite a busy day as well. The ambiance is nice pretty lowkey but I find when it's more crowded it can get a little loud. I don't mind it much though. Parking is pretty easy to find in the village but you might not always get front row!

This incredible place has earned every. Single. One. Of its 5 stars. From the comfortable decor, to the fantastic service, to the stunningly tasty dishes that all combine to make it worth the flight to be here. Start off with the focaccia bread. It is everything your mouth doesn't know it needs in this life. Seriously. These are pillows of heaven brushed with just the right amount of salt and rosemary. Though I asked for herb oil and balsamic, truly, it didn't need it at all. Enjoy it hot and soft, but resist eating it all, because you're going to want to save room for your meal (and the sauces!) Enjoyed the California Casarece. Talk about a masterpiece! If food is art, then the chef here is Michelangelo! Y'all- the pairing of spicy cilantro pesto with the fresh pasta and grilled onions and red peppers is something I'll be thinking about the entire flight home. The perfectly grilled chicken was cut to the same size/shape as the casarece making for a perfect mouthfeel. You can tell that there was care and thought in the creation of this dish. My deepest compliments to the chef! I hope you saved some of that focaccia- dipping those little pillows of heaven into the remaining sauce will keep you from licking the dish because you're going to want to, believe me! My server, Danya. Truly she made it feel like we could be friends if I lived in town! So knowledgeable about the menu, the history of the restaurant. Balancing professionalism and hospitality with grace. (And a thank you, Danya, for the sweet treat at the end- wish I had had more room to enjoy it!) Eat here. If you're local, eat here OFTEN. And save me a seat for the next time I'm in town b/c I'll be back here every time for sure!

Really yummy food, beautiful ambiance and great service. We came here for a brunch and it wasn't crowded at all. Really easy parking out front too which is nice. They give you bread and olive oil after being seated and it was warm and super delicious. I ordered the Farrata salad without the burrata (I'm lactose intolerant and can't have cheese.) I got it with shrimp added. It was super delicious! The perfect salad... healthy ingredients yet it's also warm and comforting from the farro and quinoa. The flavors are great. I would definitely get this again! The shrimp was good but pretty plain, so I'd be curious to try it with another protein or just getting it without any would be fine too. I also got a cappuccino with almond milk which was good too, and it was topped with a cute B for the restaurant but it was also perfect for me because of my name :) Great meal here! Clean restaurant and really nicely decorated. We were in the outdoor patio which felt very Grecian with its decor.

Bettolino Kitchen is one of those spots you almost want to keep to yourself--definitely feels like a true hidden secret in Redondo Beach. The modern rustic ambiance strikes that perfect balance between cozy and elevated, making it just as good for a casual night out as it is for something a bit more special. What really stands out is the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and impressively quick without making the experience feel rushed. It's clear they take pride in what they do. As for the food, everything we tried delivered. The Gemelli was rich, creamy, and hearty--exactly the kind of comforting dish you want to keep coming back for. And the branzino? Cooked to perfection with a delicate texture and great flavor. Calamari came out lightly battered and crispy (no grease overload), and the Caesar salad was fresh and well-balanced. All around, a solid experience that makes you understand why locals keep coming back. Bettolino Kitchen nails the combination of great atmosphere, excellent service, and solid, satisfying food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Excellent Italian restaurant with top notch service, nice ambiance, and yummy food. Two friends recommended this restaurant and I finally had a chance to try it out. Located in a strip mall with it's own private free parking next to Vons. It has plenty of indoor seating as well as a covered patio that also has heaters for the winter. There's also a private room available for a party. The complimentary photo booth near the entrance is a great idea. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Our waiter, Richard, is the best. He's very courteous and friendly. The menu has lots of yummy options. They can also make it gluten free. They start off with complimentary bread and olive oil, which is good. The Brasato short ribs is a must! It was so tender and juicy. The meat just fell off the bone. The Rigatoni al pesto is an excellent choice. Perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. For dessert, the lemon cake is delicious and the Budino de pane is even better... Strongly recommend.

I originally planned to visit for their Monday date night special but ended up stopping by on a Friday instead. The experience was enjoyable overall, despite a slow start. While the host was too busy to greet us, the busgirl was quick to notice and got us to a table, and our waiter was very friendly throughout the night. The Pear Necessities cocktail and Calamari were a perfect start. The Brasato was the highlight--everything on the plate worked perfectly. The Branzino was fresh but unfortunately lacked flavor and needed a sauce. We finished with the Budino Di Pane and gelato, which were both perfectly balanced.

We had such a wonderful meal the first visit, Jane selected Bettolino Kitchen for her birthday dinner. Turned out to be a great call. Our hostess set us up in a spacious both, complete with a Happy Birthday sign on the table. We were served by Monty who was superb. Started with a bottle of Cuvée which was reasonably priced. After working on a first glass, Monty took our appetizer order. Forget the name of the dish, but they were delicious crab puffs. Next up, we tried their salad with arugula and other nice ingredients. Again, delicious. Both of our entrees were outstanding. The pacing of the meal was leisurely which allowed us to savor the food and enjoy the evening. Because it was Jane's birthday, she was treated to a dessert. I tried their after dinner drink that was coffee and vodka with other ingredients blended in. Perfect! Not only will we be back, we're bringing friends the next time. Cheers!

It was my husband & my first date night in a long time and we chose to try a new place, which we all know can go 50/50. Well, we started off the with Farrah's salad and it was absolutely delicious. We then ordered some warm focaccia bread, the eggplant and the braised short rib as our main plates. Being a vegetarian it can be hard to find a good dish many places, but I was beyond happy with my choices, and my husband said the short rib was also great. Between the atmosphere, the server Monte who deserves a 5 star himself- from his greeting to explaining the menu and his whole vibe that right there is exactly what brings people back somewhere and the attention to plating details- it made our day. Overall, an amazing spot and we look forward to our next visit.

Our server, John, made this lunch amazing! We had the Betto Box, the meatball starter and the mortadella 'sushi' roll along with a delicious pasta cake for dessert. Everything was perfect & tasty. The Brussel Sprout appetizer was exceptional. We chose this location because it was quiet, beautifully appointed and in a convenient spot in the community. Overall a really nice meal. The Photo Booth is a plus!!

We made reservations for our family a few weeks ago to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived, there was a complimentary Photo Booth at the entrance. It was fun to take photos and have them sent to our emails. During Happy Hour, drinks and appetizers were $3 off. We enjoyed the calamari and the cocktails. Our table ordered a variety of entrees and beverages. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Only downer was when we brought a small cake and asked our waiter to hold it for us. He said it would be a $20 cake fee. He did not cut the cake and only provided plates at the end of the meal. Guess I should have asked ahead of time if there was a cake fee. Some restaurants offer a dessert to the person celebrating their birthday, but none was offered. The restaurant was busy by the time we left before 6:30. Glad we got to try them. Rounding up to 4 stars.

This place has recently been remodeled and it's fabulous! The food was delish! Very flavorful and had good seasoning. Their Butternut squash soup was fantastic! I also love the fresh groud black peppere. It's a nice added (optional) touch! Dana was fabulous! She was friendly and made us all laugh! Will definitely be back!!!

I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. And General service was great. They were really busy so it wasn't anything too frequently and the manager or the owner checked in on the tables and I'm happy that we went here..

I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!

My husband had the Rob Gentile, an elevated Old Fashioned, and was thoroughly impressed. Service was great, and the food was top-notch. Let's dive in! Meatballs with beef, pork, ricotta, potato purée, tomato sauce, Grana Padano, and arugula--WOW. Cheesy, saucy perfection. Beef Tartare with tonnato, shallot, marjoram, crispy potato, and toast. The pasta was clearly homemade, and you could tell it was fresh, but the actual flavors were very underwhelming. For a place specializing in Italian cuisine, we expected a lot more punch. They do not give you free refills on drinks, which is ridiculous at this price point--refills should absolutely be included. To make matters worse, you do not get free bread for the table either. Appetizers: beef carpaccio, calamari. Fresh ingredients, plated with care, well seasoned, sized like the starters they were. Pasta: Seafood Stuffed Ravioli in lobster sauce, Meat Lasagna with béchamel. The fresh pasta in both was exactly right. I ordered a bread basket just to chase the lobster sauce around the plate. The lasagna sent me back to Italy. No dessert this time. There will be a next time. And the three after that. I recommend.

The rejuvenated Redondo Beach Village now has multiple exceptional restaurants. Sadly, this is not…read moreone of them. Operating a restaurant is not an easy task, and as such we are understanding when something goes wrong. We are not as understanding when there are multiple issues. First off, the service was almost insulting. We had early reservations, so I don't think they were overly busy yet, but you wouldn't know that by our server. For all we know he could have been the Italian owner of the restaurant, and if that was the case, that made it even worse. Barely a greeting, no explanation of the specials, just a cheap plastic sleeve one would buy at Staples office supply thrown onto our table. He found our questions about the menu bothersome, and when I asked him about one item, he wrote it down as if I'd ordered it. Luckily we caught his error when I told him what I wanted for dinner and he said, "So you don't want the lasagna?" Um, no, I was just asking a question about the lasagna. We both ordered our meals along with the Heirloom Burrata appetizer. We asked if there was any bread with the appetizer, and he said no, so we asked for a bowl of bread to have with the burrata. It didn't show up, and we had to remind him. It finally arrived with our pasta. Oh well. My wife had ravioli stuffed with crab and lobster. She barely touched it and couldn't have been more disappointed. I told her to send it back, but she doesn't like confrontation. I had the cannelloni, and I have to steal a line I heard from another table: "This tastes like the stuffed shells I buy from Costco." It really did. I guess the pasta is homemade, but you sure couldn't tell from this dish. They came and picked up the dish without commenting on how little my wife had eaten. They asked if we wanted dessert, and, clearly expecting a no, plopped the bill down in front of me. We paid, yes we tipped, and immediately walked a few doors down to get my wife something to eat for dinner. We will never go back.

It was with no doubt, one of the best pizzas I have tried, the mozzarella cheese was really good. I also tried the Guaraná drink, which is a Brazilian drink, really good. After we were done, we spoke with the owner, chef Marcus and another employee who were very friendly and you can tell they care about their clients and give the best pizza and experience possible. Definitely coming back, I'll bring my family and more friends because we really loved the pizza and the customer service. I highly recommend this place!

I ordered the truffle mushroom pizza and it was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while still light and airy inside. The truffle flavor was rich without being overpowering, and the mushrooms were fresh and perfectly cooked. Every bite tasted balanced and authentic, like the kind of pizza you hope to find in a small Italian spot that truly cares about the craft. Then came the Nutella calzone, and that alone is worth the visit. Warm, perfectly baked dough with Nutella inside that melts just right. Sweet, indulgent, and honestly one of the best dessert calzones I have ever had. Also the best and most polite service, wonderful people. I have had a lot of pizza around Los Angeles, and this is easily one of the best I have tried. If you are in Redondo Beach and appreciate real quality pizza, this place is a must. Great flavors, great execution, and a spot I will definitely keep coming back to. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
