The wine class was dope. The instructors were very knowledgeable of the wines. The class was exciting and fun learning about the different regions of Italy and where the wines are produced. Had the pleasure of tasting 8 different types of wines. Accidentally knocked one of my glasses on the floor, splattering into many pieces lol. It's was cool tho. We all laughed it off and several minutes later a gentleman was there to sweep it up haha. The material was very informative and I suggest anyone that's looking for a wine tasting experience to enroll in a class. I shop here on a regular basis. I like the selection and low prices, but I am giving them 5 stars because of a recent change in policy I would like to see other retailers adopt. You can now ask them not to print a paper receipt. This makes them environmental heroes. Paper receipts are often garbage handed to the customer at checkout. We throw them into landfills while we have electronic versions in case we need to return something or accounting is needed. A no receipt option cuts down on trash and saves the retailer money they can pass along by lowering prices. I hope to see other chains follow suit. read more

I have to say, Total Wine & More has an awesome selection of spirits, wine, beer, and liquors, plus accessories, snacks, and just about anything alcohol related that you can think of. On top of that, their employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I am the type of shopper who will wander around looking for something, check Yelp reviews, and read how to guides while standing in the aisle. When that does not work, which is often, there is always a store associate nearby asking if I need help. They have directed me to products, given great input and suggestions, and genuinely know their stuff. No matter what I am looking for, they are happy to help. I like some nearby liquor stores, but Total Wine & More is the granddaddy of them all. The selection, service, and prices are hard to beat. Five stars. Wow! This place has been here for a while, yet this was the first time I had ever been in the store. I used to drive by often, seeing the store sign from the street. Walking in the store, I was a little thrown off because I've never been in a store that's set up like a grocery store, but only sells liquor. I went straight to the back to look at kegs. They have large kegs in the back refrigerator. It's self service, so you can walk through the door, into the cooler, and grab your own. The store is overwhelming. The different types of wines are separated by category. Ie. Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir. Beers are separated by country. Ie. German, American. They also have an expansive mini liquor bottle collection near the front of the store, average price $3.99 each. You can sign up for the rewards with your phone number and email address. They also sell snacks to go with all that liquor. There aren't as many staff as you would expect. There were only two people checking people out, which slowed down the process because they were addressing issues at the register. Parking: This store has its own parking lot. Fun experience coming into my local Total Wine & More. Everything is neatly organized making what you're looking for easy to find. They had the wine sample going on. I definitely took photos of my favorites with the idea of buying some in the near future. Fish did a great job presenting me samples of wine they had to sample for the day. They also had a representative from a GIN company on hand. Unfortunately, they could not allow you to sample the GIN itself, but smell the GIN. I ended up buying one of them. I found it interesting that this New Zealand company uses sauvigon blanc grapes to make its GIN. Lastly, I purchased a Glendalough Wild Rose Irish GIN as Google pointed out to be the best Irish GIN. Another amazing time at their wine class. I have done nearly all of the wine classes here but am repeating them since they will sample different ones even if it's a repeat class. The class is only $20 per person but even cheaper at $10 if you're a reserve member. A total steal for such a low price even at $20 because there's so much charcuterie and usually we sample around 8-9 different wines at all different price points. I have always come out of these classes finding at least a couple new favorites. Also, they offer some amazing discounts for class attendees that aren't usually available. I'm not sure if it's just me being spoiled by the Culver City, total wine experience or not, but I wasn't greeted when I walked in... I didn't know where I was going. I thought that maybe they should have a sign that says wine class in the back to the right I don't know. I just didn't feel a warm feeling that I get when I walk into the Culver City store But other than that the class that I took was about sips and snacks and we learned about how pairing makes the wine taste differently and certain flavors of the wine are enhanced or decreased with certain food so it was a fun class, but I think I'll stick to going to my classes in Culver City and of course we bought some wine when we left a delicious riesling and a Sauvignon Blanc... I never knew this place was so busy!!! I mean, I did go right before Super Bowl Sunday, literally the day before so maybe that's on me. Not sure how it is on a regular basis. There were at least 3 checkout lines open, and they all had a long line. Parking was chaotic. Cars coming in and out of parking spots... had I known, I would have just parked in the next parking lot over and walked. I'm very particular and enjoy specific varietals (i.e. cab franc, aglianico, petite sirah), so it's great to see they have unique off beat wines. If I could change the name of the business it would be Wine Paradise. From the music, to the service to how well organize all the aisles were, to me it was paradise. Hubby and a friend of mine stopped at wine tasting counter. We were treated royally by Terra. She was patient, friendly and down right inviting. I taste test Quinto Pino Sparkling Wine. Yes, I left with a bottle!! Also we received plenty of assistance. Although I'm sure it's hard for the team to do, they keep themselves seen and available if you need any assistance. We didn't have to look down each aisle in search for help. The help came to us. They are very keen observers and could tell if your a bit lost or confused. I was in love with their great production of BuzzBallz. Experienced a little nostalgia when I seen their Paul Mason. Beautiful bottled wine and liquor. Everything you can think of, more than likely, they have it. I absolutely love the ministry of different alcohol brands. I was a vodka girl at one point in my life. Broke up with that for tequila. Now that tequila and I are no longer in a relationship due to my cheating with whiskey, that was the reason for my visit. I was after that Bollotin Chocolate. They seem to be out so I went after the carmel flavor. I also walked away with a couple of mini's. I couldn't help it. I was curious about Veil flavored Vodka. The caramel was fantastic!!! I have a thing for cream liquor as well. I also wanted to try different flavors of my Jim Beam some Jack Daniels. I spotted some spiked ice cream. This is one of the friendliest, nicest, and most welcoming total wine stores I have ever visited. I attended a bottle signing yesterday and when calling for a vet details, the employee who answered was an absolute sweetheart. They were completely friendly and and truly felt like I was interacting with a friend. On the day of the signing, the manager or shift supervisor or event coordinator was extremely friendly and was constantly checking in with people waiting in line. I was blown away with the professionalism afterwards we tried looking for some other Irish whiskey and other spirits. Although they didn't have them available nor did total wine allow those specific items to be carried in their stores. Fish fish, extremely courteous and friendly as well. He definitely went above and beyond with trying to assist us. Like I told him because of his customer service and everyone else. I will absolutely come back to this location. Seriously, the customer service and selection. Here is phenomenal. One tip is in regards to parking. Don't be surprised if people, double park, park poorly or drive on the wrong side. It was definitely surprising that there was so many people driving poorly through the nearby parking, but otherwise , it was very smooth sailing all around. There is a small area for wine tasting in the meddle of the store. In the back of the store is a sprits tasting area. I was able to purchase several bottles of wine for my wine tasting party. The staff gave me great suggestions on great bottles of wine . I also purchased party favors for my party. Such as wine glasses charms, napkins and and travel wine bottle cooler. Their is also a spritz tasting room in the back of the store. The room is large enough for about 15 to 20 people. There is also a humidor for a one stop shop. It's mostly broken down into country of origin and you can find some interesting wines here for sure. Prices seem pretty normal/typical and a bit less expensive than at the supermarket. My star off is for a slightly lacking beer dept. Yes, it's total wine, not total beer. But I still feel like their selection of beer could be much greater. He seemed like an honest dude so I trusted his decision and purchased that over the two I wanted. It was the Mi Familia tequila brand, and oh lord is it mediocre and artificially sweetened. I did a bunch of research and Total Wine has an incentive to sell specific brands and this was one of them. DON'T GO HERE! You'll get WAY better customer service at the Long Beach location. I was DoorDashing and trying to pick up an order and I was directed to a woman in the pick up area with braids/dreads/twist (not sure) who did not have anything for me but attitude. Never during any DoorDash delivery have I've been required as a driver to show my drivers license for proof of purchase of alcohol because I'm not the one purchasing it, it's already pre-purchased by a customer who's over 21 and will show their ID for it, I've never been required to show my ID. When I shared that with her, she cut me off in a snap response and said "it's the law!" Umm, NO. It's not the law to force a DoorDash driver to show you their identification for an order that's not even theirs. What if I was a driver that was between the ages of 18 and 20? I would still be able to DoorDash and deliver the order without showing my ID because I'm not the one buying it, the customer is. Very annoying and a bunch of snap unnecessary attitude when all I needed was the order handed to me and a polite "Have a great night". Having a Total Wine worker demand I show my ID for something that isn't mine was not in my plans. Like I said LITERALLY go anywhere else for your liquor and if your a dasher, DECLINE this place, you can literally go to any other liquor store or place that sells alcohol in Los Angeles County and not have to be berated like this as a Dasher for your ID for no reason. The store is large, clean and well organized. My only complaint is the large parking lot can get full. But I'm not even taking off a star for that LOL They offer wine, spirits & beer tasting in multiple locations throughout the store. Something else that I really appreciate are the wine tasting classes that are both fun and educational. With aisles of wine and dozens of brands of every kind of spirits plus beer kegs and bottles of domestic, imported and craft beers to choose from you will find what you are looking for.
