Went here for a Gopuff pickup. I rang the doorbell in the back and waited for almost 10 minutes. 3 rings later, someone answered. They led me to the front of the store and said nobody ever listens to the instructions to go to the back and up the stairs. It was easy once they opened the door for me. I usually go to the bigger BevMo! over at Hawthorne blvd., but whenever I want a quick liquor run at a place that has great stock of random drinks you cannot find at liquor stores, gas stations and groceries; I go here. The parking is really cool because it basically shares a whole huge free lot via the Rolling Hills Plaza. This particular BevMo! is pretty dope because you have everything from an AMC theater, Island's, Nike outlet and random Asian stores around this freakin' plaza!!!!! HUGE plus! Inside of the store, it's smaller compared to the one in Hawthorne Blvd. as I stated earlier.... but it's a nice little go-to if you don't want to drive too far or deal with a larger amount of customers. It's pretty damn easy, chill and convenient to shop here, plus they have very clean restrooms as well. Customer service is top notch. The guy with the red hair....; -I think his name was Gary??- helped me even fix my BevMo! account. He even gives you random stats and history on whatever it is you buy or think of buying. How do you give a store less than 1 star! Rude staff who ramble on and on and don't let you speak. Their website stated they have wine in stock but then cancel part of the order so the driver can keep the tip that was based on the full order. The store is unable to issue a refund and tells customers to call BevMo on their toll-free line to resolve. When you call the number, it tells you to email them! Ah.... a business after my own bladder. If I were to die and go to Ducky heaven, I'd probably land at a BevMo near me. This one seems to be a tad smaller than the Torrance Blvd. / Hawthorne location but still has all the goodies a fat boy lush such as myself desires. We've been able to find a couple speciality beverages here that we can otherwise only find online, for an exorbitantly higher price than that in which BevMo charges, so that's a good thing. I can never go in here without leaving with at least two sixers of specialty / craft beers I've never tried before. They also carry a smaller selection of peripherals such as chips, jerky, etc., but the reality is, I go for the booze and only the booze. Anything else I purchase is really just a plus. It sucks that the manager Fernando is the reason that we have to review this BevMo with a one star review. Our horrible experience began as soon as my husband couldn't find his 15 year old scotch; which is the entire reason he drove all the way to this BevMo vs the one by us. Ready to spend a good amount of money on this holiday afternoon and with every intention to get what we need, the customer experience we had this day made us skip passed all that and instead left us feeling unimportant, not taken care of, and Under valued as customers. My husband went to the display where they carry the Glenlevit and notice that he needed to see a sales associate for it. My husband checked to see if they had it in stock before driving here and because the app said yes we went. No problem, he decided to ask an associate if they in fact had it. He stated he didn't think so but went to check with the " manager" Fernando. Well Fernando could not be bothered brushed off his worker and simply said no. He didn't check or look up another store or any of the normal things a MANAGER would do, he didn't even make eye contact with the kid and pretty much just shooed him away. How rude, not only to us but to his employee. My husband was watching the interaction and proceeded to ask the employee why the app says it was in stock if it wasn't. Whatever, he went to grab my wines then headed to the cigar area. He always purchases a nice cigar to ring in the new year. As he walked over to the booth, him and Fernando made eye contact. Common sense tell one that this customer is about to ask for your help right? Well this meant nothing to Fernando as he pretty much stood there doing a staring contest with my husband who was waiting for this guy to ask the OBVIOUS question " can I help you". After what seemed like a decade he did. My husband said yeah I need a cigar to which Fernando told him he needed to ask another employee. Uh hello sir you're right in front of them, is it too much to ask for you to take 2 minutes of your time and grab one for you customer? The incompetence of this man is beyond me fr. To top off the annoyance my husband ask some chick "working" there if they did Apple Pay which she then just pointed to a sign for my husband to read. Can she not speak? Is she a mute? Can SHE not read? She couldn't say yes or no? Then later we heard her co worker telling her to "calm down" and "just breathe". WTH is going on in this place. Bunch of lazy workers here. Holidays too much for them that they start having mental and emotional break downs. If customer service is so awful maybe they should have continued in school and gotten a different job. I don't know it's not my problem; But what IS my problem is the audacity and lack of customer service and attention at this BevMo. Fernando need to be bumped down to stocking shelves. Maybe it will take him off whatever horse he rode in on that makes him think he can treat both his employees and customers in such a mannner that he doesn't care if people here are watching and that other girl needs therapy or needs to look for another job. Got some Christmas Cheer for a couple coworkers and the two BevMo associates that helped me were GREAT! First time in a Bev- Mo and they directed me to the Bourbons and then the Vodkas with recommendations for both (not necessary but very nice). Got a couple gift bags, one had a loose seem. Went right back into the store and the second guy just helped me find another better replacement, no need to fool around at the register to do the exchange. I was there yesterday on 12/21/23. Every holiday I go to BevMo! to stock up for family parties. I usually spend about $300-$400 there at a time. It was pouring outside and when I got to the door there was a male employee standing there texting on his phone and greeting people. I said, do you have any dry carts inside and he said no they're all outside. I looked over to the cart area and they were totally soaking wet because it was pouring. I told him those are all wet. I'm not shopping here today and I turned around and walked back to my car. Why can't the greeter get a towel and dry off a couple of carts at a time so there's always two carts in the store that are dry? They package everything in cardboard boxes at checkout and things like beer and seltzers are all packaged in thin cardboard. Wet cardboard is a disaster and will fall apart. What good is a greeter at the door if he's not drying off the carts when it's raining? BevMo get your act together. I'm going to try again today but it's raining again in Torrance so we will see if there's any dry carts in the store. read more

I waited in line for around 20 minutes and the young man at the register was on his phone not paying attention to the customers in line. When I placed my order on the conveyor, the young man appeared startled and finally paid attention to the customers in line. He proceeded to scan my coupon and purchase and I asked him to pull additional bottles out of a locked case because there was no other staff in the store. He begrudgingly got the product i asked for and then immediately asked me for ID. I had mistakenly forgot my ID at home. At that point he accused me of being too intoxicated to purchase. He insisted that I was intoxicated and would not allow me to purchase any additional alcohol and also canceled my first order. He returned my money and I had to demand the coupon that I presented. At this point I was quite confused as to what was happening and he proceeded to threaten to call the authorities. As a senior citizen, all i was doing was asking questions pertinent to the situation. As a small business owner in the South Bay who treats their customers with the utmost respect and dignity, I felt very upset by another business treating me like I didn't matter. I truly feel that this is due to my age and the young man wanted to end his shift without interruption. I'm debating on whether or not I should ever return to this store again based on the fact that I was discriminated against based on my age. read more

A waste of time. Don't carry Slane nor Green Spot Irish whiskey...which, btw, are exceptionally good award winning whiskeys. Were only 2 choices for Sambuca...no black sambuca, no Christiani sambuca. This is a tiny Bevmo but it is mighty! We dropped by to get a gift for family and knew specifically what we wanted to get. I love that every Bevmo is more or less laid out the same way. We were able to go right to the aisle we needed, grab the wines we came for, and check out all within minutes. The person at the checkout was friendly and efficient. Just thinking about this place makes me giddy. The collection of wine and alcohol here is impressive (and well-organized) yet not outrageously priced. I bought a wineberry box, and the box split on me after I left the store. I brought it back at the urging of my friend, and they replaced the box (and, more importantly, the wine) without any hassle whatsoever. This review is for the Torrance CA store. I reserved a keg for my son's birthday. When we go there we had to ask about a tap. "no we don't rent those anymore, but we sell them" was the answer. Then they said they didn't have any, but after looking found "the last used one" in the store, which they sold us to us for bargain basement price of 60. First, it's just plain ridiculous to rent kegs but not make available taps. I said as much to the manager, who shrugged and muttered something about the virus. Which i assume means that they don't want to take risk around people handling the tap. But then he handed us the used tap with his own ungloved hands, so that explanation felt a bit thin. I pushed back to the "manager", who wasn't rude, but basically didn't give a hoot about the unfairness of the situation, or making me a satisfied customer. Bottom line, i felt robbed and taken advantage of. If I had known up front there was no tap avail to rent, i would have gone elsewhere. read more

Instead of using common sense and respect, the employees are required to scan the ID cards of every customer. Even if that customer is obviously 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, or (as in my case) 70+ years old. Since BevMo can't trust their employees or customers, there is little point in trusting BevMo to keep ID card info private. I placed an online order for about 8 cases of beer, over 3 cases of wine and some other alcoholic beverages for pickup last Friday. Lindsey was the one that assisted me in checking that all my items were ready for pickup, and even helped me switch some items out and do some returns. This experience was one of the best I've encountered with BevMo, and I hope to see more of it! I have never met someone with such enthusiasm dealing with a customer, understanding of the situations that may arise, and she even happily helped unload my entire purchase into my car. 5* to Lindsey, thank you!!
