I'm in this store once/twice a week. The employees are always very welcoming and friendly. Even when busy at the registers they never seem to miss the opportunity to say "welcome in". I get the same thing every time in and they always have it refrigerated for me. Mackenzie is often the one at the register when I check out. She is always pleasant and with a kind word. It's a cool experience visiting BevMo warehouse of alcoholic beverages, the shelves are full of so many drinks. It's easy to find all kinds of special drinks here, and checkout was smooth too. The only downside is the bad smell, and I couldn't tell what caused it, weird odor as soon as walking into the store. read more

Literally went in for Gran Malo, not only did I find it BUT I found the mini bottles of it!!! The bottle was about $2 higher ($19 instead of $17) than what it's priced at Costco. BUT it was more accessible for those without a Costco card so I definitely recommend. If you want a smooth great tasting tequila this is 10/10 it literally tastes like a candy and with a chamoy/tajin rim it's absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. read more

Sep 30, 2023 The worst service tonight. Ordered on GoPuff, received the text that my order was ready. Went to pick it up. Went to the back of the store and rang the bell. Clerk came out and ask for my name. He came out a second time and asked if the order was under a different name. I said no and he said "it's probably in the front." I followed him to the front of the store when he threw up his hands, as if in disgust. He said I can't find it, are you sure it's this store. I should have checked my text again but I didn't. He never once look in their computer system. I went home and reviewed the app again and it confirmed the order and the text that said the order was ready for pick up. I called the store and spoke to FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE. One said "we never got it so you need to contact Door Dash." I said " it was for pick up." That's when the 4th person got on the line and said "your order is here. The label may have fallen off." I had to return to the store for the SECOND TIME and got the same guy the first time around. Just did a Gopuff pickup at this BevMo. Funny enough, it was the opposite of the other BevMo pickup. You enter the front, and they make you go to the back and ring a doorbell for your pickup. The pickup was quick and easy. I was probably inside for 2 minutes or 3 minutes tops. Would recommend Gopuff and BevMo, especially if you're in a rush and trying to just pick up something on the way to a party. read more

I have been waiting in line for about 8 min for a customer to pay, however their same card keeps declining. I asked if yall can hold up and just ring in my energy drink which would only take 1 minute. The register and lady didn't mind me going, however a coworker asked what the commotion was. Almost all BevMo's I've been to are neat and organized. The variety and selections are limitless. The only cons I have about this place are the prices. To be honest you can get ordinary/usual things for cheaper at another market but this place probably has the hard to find drinks that you can't find at every store. My go to place for the "chasers" great variety. They have my favorite spritzer white claw (mango flavor only) and the colorful perfect size (3oz) plastic disposable shot glasses. read more

It's been a while since I've been into a BevMo, but we were in the area and stopped in, at first glance I thought I was in a CVS with an oversized adult beverage department. About 1/3 of the store was drug store items and foods that you would find at a 7-11. Stores have to adapt in these changing times but this is not the BevMo of even a year ago. I think it is time to send BevMo to Betty Ford! If you were looking for soulless people with no interest in helping you, and policies that are even more rigid, this is the place to come! Although I'm sure they are very good at all things policy, they are not very good with solutions. The cashier I dealt with was named Ant, but I'm pretty sure it should've been something like BOT! I'm pretty sure that he has already sampled plenty of product before the store even open this morning. One would think that if you can't find something you would ask an employee or ask a manager, right? It was interesting to watch someone look you right in the face and lie to me and adamantly protest that they've never carried the product until you finally insist, they go check their computer and sure enough they find it in the system. Oh and manager Tracy won't special order it for you either. Also as a word to the wise, do not not take your receipt here. They will hardly even talk to you about anything if you do not have a receipt. Oh, and even if you were buying something non-alcoholic, they will insist that you not only show them your drivers license, but they want to take it out and scan it. I'm pretty sure I don't like that idea. This would've been a one star review however, they didn't have a great playlist of 80s music for me to listen to while I waited. And waited. And waited. I have been to other BevMo locations but this one made me feel good. I drink, but I wouldn't say I drink enough to refer a brand to anyone lol. I drink enough to know what to ask the staff for. Big Ben is the man with all the answers at this location. I love the way he treated my hubby when he asked him for some for some rum that is made in Belize. When my husband gave him the name brand (Teberon is the name of it...doubt I'm spelling it right), it didn't sound familiar to him but he looked it up in the database anyway. They didn't have it so my husband went with his second selection called Dubonnet. Big Ben knew exactly what he wanted and where it was. This man know his stuff. When I notice the good service my hubby was receiving, I decided to reach out to Big Ben myself. I don't really like the bitter taste of alcohol but at the same time I enjoy the kick from it. When I explained this to Big Ben he referred Not Grandpas Root Beer (something like that) to me, it made me curious but I was looking for something a bit stronger. He walked me over to the area with the Buzz Balls and things. He pointed out the Twisted Shotz. I picked up the only two flavors the have and bought at lease four of them. I must say, that man not only knows his stuff, he knows what he's talking about. I'm officially hooked on those shots and will definitely be back for more. Awesome taste and nice kick. I don't want to leave Tristan out now. My hubby and I needed a restroom. I was in doubt they had one that customers can use but to my surprise, they did. Yes, each one has a slightly different set of drinks but the interior, the design, and the general atmospheres are all the same. They are large, open, and they sell alcohol-based drinks. It is your one stop shop. In terms of this BevMo, the staff is always nice and helpful. This was one of the first BevMo's to open in the South Bay. As it centrally located on one of the main arteries of the South Bay, Hawthorne Blvd., it is easy to get to as you are passing from one location to the next. Kettle Chips brand potato chips, SPICY THAI flavor Sure it's over $4 and generally the chips should be under $3, but no supermarket that I know of carries this flavor. It's simply the best, a little sweet and a little spicy with a great blend of the two for the perfect flavor on a crunchy thick potato chip. I've seen liquor stores carry this once in a while, but it's a rare find and scarce flavor to get. While I am a fan of this chain, I abhor this particular location. Why? A. Inattentive staff (yes, I used the word inattentive) I walked in and there were two cashiers open with lines easily reaching the middle of the store whilst 4 other employees stood around shooting the breeze. B. Cluttered store - I had to make sure I was paying attention where I was walking because I almost tripped over some open boxes of wine. C. Empty or low stock on shelves - Hmm, shelves that were empty at least 5 rows back, while open boxes were littering the aisles... D. Just a bad vibe all around. The only good thing was the cashier who seemed to be enjoying herself while the music was playing over the sound system. Yeah, I think I will continue to frequent the Manhattan Beach store. Came here the day before nye because I saw online that bevmo sells Hennessy privilege for $57 after taxes comes to about $63. I used to go to total wine for my alcohol since it's closer to where I live but their privilege is priced at $62.99. Definitely become a club bev member for the little discounts! I say log onto both websites and see which alcohol is cheaper and base your decision off that. Bevmo has this on,one ordering and you can pick that order up in the store. I would give a negative review if I could.... I am a frequent shopper at BevMo and they ALWAYS price match to the nearest total wine if the item is in stock. Today as soon as we walked walked in an individual asked us what we were looking for (buzz balls) they were out so we opted for patron. We asked the cashier if they price matched, he said "yes to the closest total wine in Redondo on Hawthorne" out of no where this other worker (who is an apparently the manager) who followed us around the store says no we don't price match.... Even though the white woman before us price matched as well. Visit at your own risk especially if you are a person of color. read more

Terrible customer service. My boyfriend and I are younger looking and we went in to buy a bottle of wine. The cashier asked for my boyfriends ID (as they should) since he was the one who wanted to pay, but the card reader malfunctioned and said to remove the card and try again. I instinctively pulled the card out, and the cashier yelled at me saying he did not check my ID and that if I were paying he needed to check my ID. I understand we look young, but I had no problem showing him my ID. He was very rude, and I didn't enjoy being talked to in such a condescending way. A good attitude goes a long way, and I didn't appreciate the way we were treated. Overall, it was not a good experience and I probably won't return. read more

First off...THANK YOU BevMo for carding and keeping little kids and/or John Cena fans away from entering this place. Second, thank you for providing Southern California consumers with the opportunity to purchase unique soda pop like Detroit's own Faygo and just so many other pops and alcoholic beverages that aren't always at your local grocery. 3rd...I dig when local vendors come by and the manager lets us try some wine or something at a very affordable price instead of driving all the way to some winery to pay double or even triple what we would usually pay for. This BevMo is very clean and extremely organized. It's so clean here, that Mr. Clean and the Pinesol lady would probably have secret inter-racial rendezvous and bust a "Clerks" restroom loving at the back if they wanted to. Employees and managers are helpful as hell. The manager here is awesome, he reminds me of my high school auto shop teacher Mr. Yarnall mixed with Ted Turner and an older, wiser, not so preachy version of Ned Flanders. I meant that last sentence out of love and respect, for reals! It's so bright and shiiiineyyyy (Bubble Boy reference) in here. I bust out laughing every time I see someone who's hung over entering and they start blinking so much because of the lights and the white flooring. Did you know that they sell caviar here too? If I honestly gave a crap about caviar, I would be happy as hell, but I just thought that was interesting that they sold caviar here. Every now and then, they have some pretty cool discounts/deals on alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, especially with your rewards card. If you're a part of the "straight edge society" with CM Punk, then you can buy some soda pop instead as I stated earlier, so in a way, there's something for everyone. Nothing worse than getting home with Signora, showing her a fancy looking wine, and have it be an expensive dud. "It's OK, I'll just have Bud Lite Lime." Oh the Humanity. The 5 cent sale at BevMo is the cure for mystery wine shopping! Makes it fun to experiment and buy for the label, like picking a jockey for the color of his silk. Bev makes it easy to find these gems because their entire selection of wine for the 5 cent sale is in the middle isle. You can't miss it. For me, no need to shop here other than the 5 cent sale. It's a brightly lit building with alcohol inventory. They stock my favorite scotch, Talisker, but so do a lot of other places. Speaking of which, at least Total Wine has a discernible personality. I couldn't believe how much of an assortment they had, I can totally see myself buying groceries here while I pick up some spirits. I was in a bit of a rush. Came in here needing a couple of 12-packs of beer. I had a $30 gift card recently given to me, so asked them to swipe it and expected them to tell me how much I still owed. Instead, I was told there was NOTHING on the gift card. "Zero balance." Didn't have time to argue, so I paid in cash. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I found myself at a BevMo located at Richmond. (Yes, a few hundred miles north.) Since I had a bit of time, I spoke to the manager at that location about the incident that happened from this location - that I was told there was $0 on the card. I asked if there was a way to check when and where the $ was spent because it was quite surprising to be told there was nothing in it when I've had it in my possession the whole time. Don't know what the manager there did, but he said, "Nope. You still have $30 on it." Yet another reason I prefer Total Wines to this place. Horrible.
