There is a reason why they have stock of booze you're looking for, because they're marking it up over 100+% and then some and no one is paying for it unless they need to. I searched the area and found this place hidden in a business complex of the 90 Marina Freeway. I had to check it out. Whoa! What a place! This is my go to for any and every kind of liquor, when our quests request to go to a liquor store. This is a real WAREHOUSE full of wine, tequila, beer, whiskey, brandy and a whole lot more! You can spend several hours in there! Staff are friendly and they are knowledgeable about unusual requests of liquor our clients may have. We have been using Beverage Warehouse for years. It's a good place to get all kinds of alcoholic beverages, especially uncommon whiskys (or whiskeys), liquors, wines, and brews. It's a laid back store with a large selection, even domestic and foreign soft drinks. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are higher than what you'd pay at Costco, but I expect that. There is also a humidor, but I don't smoke cigars, so I'm kind of in the dark about the quality and variety of cigars they have. All in all it's a pretty cool store. read more

Great prices too! Ironic as on my recent visit, I came looking for a bottle of Don Alberto Extra Añejo tequila which they didn't have (shocker) but they have other Extra Añejo tequila brands. I went in and bought a wine that normally sells for $24 and found it there for $15.99! They also carried Rabbit Hole at a $10 discounted price. I've removed the harsh words, but the story is the same. I hope they've improved by now with their customer service when it comes to African American men. RACIAL PROFILING ALERT! This event happened on Friday, March 19th, 2021. I walked into the Beverage Warehouse around 11:45 am on this day, looking to buy a Gerwerts and Riesling. I'm a wine student, so I've been here before and have spent hundreds of dollars at this place. On this day, I walk in and two employees are at the register chatting. Upon seeing me, Black man, designer hat and shades, they clam up with that nervous fear Black men are used to seeing. I ask for the German wine section. One employee tells the other employee to show me. He takes me to the French section. No worries. I was looking for an Alsace Riesling anyway. He leaves and returns to chatting with the other guy at the counter. As I'm searching for a wine, one of the two workers returns and starts to pretend to be working in a space near me. I've seen this all too often. He's just shuffling things around, pretending to be busy. The intent is two fold: One, to let me - a would be thief - know they're watching. Two, to be close to me in case I snatch something and run out. (Needless to say my income is probably 10 times theirs) Keep in mind, other people were in the store shopping, primarily white men. I ignore it, knowing I'll be writing this review. Not 10 seconds after I get to the counter, the spying employee returns to the front, magically done with all of the busy work he was pretending to be doing. The first guy rings me up, grunting questions like 'credit or debit' to me like some barely educated child. I ask for the owner, who he says isn't there. I ask if they have internships, and got no answer at all, or he may have shook his head. To the owners of beverage warehouse, first, check your store security cams and you make a judgment. Second, I'm sure you're good guys. You have lots of reviews and close to five stars. I actually hate to give you one star. But, when you have employees who are clearly racially naive, bigoted, and prejudiced, you need to be on alert. Train these guys about the importance of customer service. read more

Can't believe I only just found this place after hunting for my bottles of scotch at the overpriced chain retailers. Their website isn't fancy and doesn't have their entire selection. I found out they had two additional rare bottles after calling them and talking to the store staff! The parking lot is a bit tight but street parking is not the worst. I was in L.A. and looked up the best liquor store in town. Beverage Warehouse came up as number 1. They have most insane selection of liquor I've ever seen!!!!!! Whiskey and tequila as far as the eye can see. There were things I hadn't seen in years. Two types of slivovitz! Most places don't even have one. Elvis Whiskey! Endless Summer tequila! An incredible selection of Absinthe. Mixers and even falernum, which is something you NEVER see at other liquor stores. More types of bitters than I knew existed. Great prices, friendly staff and a very easy shopping experience. Great vintage liquor and beer mirrors on the wall too. I was like a kid in a candy store. Amazing selection but the reviews here are all suspicious. The prices at this place are wild. Easily 30-40% more than most places.

Located in an isolated commercial complex between Playa an Marina del Rey, you'll find Beverage Warehouse with your GPS and a little luck. It's near a few other wholesalers who sell items like wine, sodas, party goods, and even a portrait studio. It's just, well, in an odd location. Once you've passed the army of speed bumps waiting to slow you to a painstaking crawl, park anywhere like it's a free country. Then stroll in like you own the place because when you leave it will own you. Beverage Warehouse is a dream for most consumers of the alcoholic sports. Jerseys are replaced by cold sweats here, and gatorade by (likely) thousands of bottles and cans of booze. All is here to your content. Name a brand, and it is likely here. It took me about 30 minutes to peruse most sections of the store. They have all beers and liquors that would rival places like K&L Wines and Hi-Time Wine Cellars. I think it's safe to say that with their selection you can find most of your conventional and popular wines, liquors and drink mixers. They have a few extras and limited edition items, such as Verve Cliquot anniversary bottles and those giant, borderline gag ginormous bottles of wine. For those who prefer the rare and collector stuff, in particular the liquors, they have a sectioned off area near the front of the store. You'll find rare whiskeys, anniversary editions, and all at the inflated (albeit expected) prices that are well above retail price. Some would say they're at market value. This currently includes Buffalo Trace experimental batches and Whistle Pig. There's a lot more in this area, of course. Sadly, I didn't see any Weller or Pappy. Turns out they get both, but it is far and few between. How's pricing? I'm glad you asked. It's competitive as expected. They have specials on some items and even bin for the less desired no-name hard alcohols. I think most pricing for items is fair, with the exception of those rare items. In that case, most stores that know the value of, let's say rare or limited bourbon, tend to make the price very high. It's simply a consideration. I think Beverage Warehouse, for the most part, is all about variety. They have everything you can almost imagine, unless it's considered rare. Names of wines you've come across in restaurants are likely here. Party size bottles bigger than your head? Yes, they're here. Mixers? Check. That Carlsberg beer that was popular in Europe and brings nostalgia? All here. Will you pair a fair price compared to a grocery stores? Slightly, yes. For those in the area, I think this place is a good option. If you're not sure what they have, and I have done this to a slight chagrin, then check their website. I don't where to begin, but I want to my friend today for introducing me to this warehouse for adult beverages. I am a huge craft beer drinker and recently started getting into bourbon a couple of months ago. The prices are fair and reasonable for the majority of the bourbon. Their craft beer selection was also pretty decent. I can't believe I have never heard of this place or been here ever. I've been shopping here for more than twenty years, but I don't understand what is wrong with some of the people who work here. I've always preferred to shop somewhere other than a chain store, but they're testing my resolve. They can't even bother to look up, respond or even grunt when you speak to them. They act as though they're doing you a huge favor by ringing up your purchases and taking your money. really? If they hate working there so much perhaps they should look for a job elsewhere. They actually closed the gate on 3 loyal repeat customers 1 minute before their close time yesterday, even though each of us knew exactly what we wanted. I understand hours of operation, but what about being reasonable & responsive to the people who come to your business often & buy regularly, it's called good customer service. Called them at 545, specifically asked if I could buy something very specific, and only that item and if i arrive at 558-6 I could just buy it and leave. They literally locked the door and refused to honor this and had me rush to their store just to do that even though I arrived at 5:59. Well fuck you, what absolute scum of employees. read more

Well kept secret apparently. This place is awesome. They have great deals on beer, wine and your every day liquors, however, they have a REALLY great selection of craft been and imports, Scotch, Irish whiskey etc. Why this place isnt packed is beyond me. If I owned this place I would have tastings and other events to get business going. This place has been around as long as I can remember 20-30 years maybe. I recently went on a trip to the UK and fell in love with some Scotch, Irish whiskeys, London pride beer etc, they had everything. even the stuff I thought i wouldnt be able to find. This store used to be the kind of place where you could find a good deal on hard to find items. But within the last year or so they have become like all the other secondary liquor stores. Wow!!! Talk about RUDE!! I called because I wanted a crate of wines as gifts. I googled Beverage Warehouse as I frequent the Bellflower location. I assumed it was the same. So I asked just out of curiosity. The guy that just answered bashed the Bellflower location and before I even gave him the name of the product I was looking for he proceeded to say that they may or may not have it. I ended up telling him he was rude and hung up. This place is deff closer, I live in Hollywood. But I will be making the drive to Bellflower. Or the BevMo on Santa Monica and La Brea.
