Fried Egg Rolls with Fish Sauce and Lettuce (Half Portion)

Pho Hana is our go to place whenever we need a quick meal or are too tired / lazy to cook. Their perfectly grilled pork ribs always satisfy our Korean BBQ craving. The broth from their pho provides stamina and comfort when someone is under the weather. What's more, the courteous staff make us feel welcome every time, and the year around Christmas tree and interesting memorabilia inside of the restaurant provide a cozy and uplifting atmosphere. We especially like their #1 Combo Pho. The clear beef based broth is super savory, the thin rice noodles are perfectly cooked and al dente, the beef and tendon pieces are fresh and tender, and the sliced peppers provide the dab of spiciness. If you want more zing, all you need is a couple drops of squeezed lime or sriracha sauce. Their spring and egg roll combo is also one of our favorites. The spring roll wraps have a nice bouncy texture and the fillings of shrimp and veggies are always fresh with a nice hint of mint. Their egg rolls are perfectly fried and crispy. Wrapping each roll around with the lettuce leaf and dipping it into the fish or hoisin sauces is such a delectable experience. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Highly recommended.

I seem to be on a streak of places with fascinating decor and welcoming service, but food that I did not enjoy. The restaurant has a plethora of interesting vintage pieces. There are also a couple of outdoor tables. It seems quite clean and servers mask. Even the music is vintage --think Pat Boone and the 1950s. Unfortunately, to me, that music is extremely depressing and I should have asked to sit outdoors. The food was a major disappointment. It started off well enough with some ok rice and bean sprout and cabbage kimchi banchan. The restaurant serves Korean and Vietnamese dishes. My supposedly medium or spicy soon tofu stew was a watery mess of onions, some tofu that tasted off, one fresh mussel, a few bits of tasteless seafood, and something else I could not identify . I tried, but couldn't eat it. My husband's everything pho came with fresh basil and jalapeño slices. He didn't like it, but was able to eat it. Then again, he eats just about everything that isn't cheese. Others seem to like the food here, so perhaps it is better suited other tastes.

First time eating there, and we got seated pretty quickly. It took a while to place our order, but once it was in, it was about 5 minutes before we started seeing the appetizers and the rest of the food come in. It's a super cute place, and they even have a Dodgers shrine and a bunch of vinyl records. Let's move on to the food. As we were eating our terribly salty pho (I will need to dilute this with a lot of water tonight), the man I believe to be the manager or owner started to offer guests leaving donuts that he got for free from next door's Yellow Vase. When we left, we didn't get offered any or get a friendly goodbye or thank you like all the other guests. Call me paranoid or whatever, but it seemed off. Anyway, I think sometimes not everyone is gonna like you, but sometimes I can't help but think it's racism. Everyone who got friendly goodbyes was Asian or white. My husband and I are a mix of Mexican and Black Caribbean, so I wonder. Aaaanywayz, the egg rolls were good, as well as the fried rice and Vietnamese coffee--but I don't think I'll be returning here any time soon. Thanks for reading my wall of text. Edit: by the way, our order was $100 with tip.

highlights: - korean owned viet restaurant in PV peninsula shopping center, plenty of parking - if you live in torrance, come here for pho - tendon with vinegar and soy sauce is INCREDIBLE (they offer half size portion) - don't forget to get the onions on the side! - consistently amazing pho, support the locals

They feature traditional Vietnamese cooking and flavors, as spicy as one desires. The staff are incredibly friendly, always smiling and treating customers like honored guests. I always get the combination to see the beef texture and quality first, and it did not disappoint. I was a tad bit disappointed the beef on top wasn't rare when it first came out, but I don't care about it that much. I don't try anything else so I don't have an opinion on the other items. I would say the portion is a tad bit small for the price but I guess it's closer to the ocean so there is that. Service, nice. I'm a "eat fast and get out" kind of customer so I don't need much in terms of service unless it's Michelin star. Again kiosk style but he did come and check up on me, which is nice. i wouldn't say come here for a 5 star date but if you want good no BS pho, it's definitely worth a try. Older lady cleans the table, felt a tad sad cause it reminded me of my mom, but I'm sure the male waiter (maybe son, I'm guessing who knows) probably does the heavy lifting in the back. Conclusion. Restaurant is small, sits maybe 16-20 people max. But definitely would go again! Fast and delicious. Reasonable price for pho in the South Bay.

The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. It was not that busy at all. It's a small place but there's a good amount of seating for the size of the place. There's parking in the plaza & they have restrooms. I ordered their own matcha horchata and .... ...:. .... I only was able to taste milk. I have no clue how it is made, but I genuinely was like..... I feel like I'm drinking cows milk. I was not impressed at all. I tasted 0 horchata and 0 matcha it was the weirdest experience. The cashier was somewhat nice? It was a minimal interaction. There's screens to order as well so maybe he was not expecting the human interaction. Either way it threw me off unfortunately. I'd have to wait a while to see if I wanna come back and try something different. There's too many coffee and milk tea shops that come to my mind first to visit instead.
