The food was good, and I liked that they cook it for you. We were 2 adults and 3 kids under 6 years old, and our family combo came out to about $180 total. For our family, the amount of meat felt a little limited for the price. Overall, it's a nice option if you prefer having the food cooked for you and don't eat a lot. If you're looking for more food for the price, an unlimited Korean BBQ like Gen Korean BBQ may be worth considering.

The best pork belly place in SoCal! It's nice to go to a place that specializes in JUST Korean pork belly. They have 8 different flavors of pork belly along with a kimchi stew that my whole family loves. They cook for you so I can sit back and just enjoy the food. Since it's KBBQ it doesn't take long for the food to come out. The space is great for all types of groups including both big and small. Can't wait to come again!!

Food here was very good. We ordered a sampler of their many different flavored pork belly. They had so many flavors I'd never heard of like wine, miso, herbs, etc. My personal favorites were the herb and ginseng! We also got a kimchi stew which the owner himself recommended to help cut out the grease. The vibes in the restaraunt are very low, lights low and not super loud music. Sometimes I get super overwhelmed at bbq places because of how loud everything is, but not here. The owner came and cooked everything for us and even gave us the history behind why they do what they do. You can tell the couple that owns this place is very prideful if their meat quality.

Palsaik is not your average Korean BBQ restaurant. What makes it special is that Palsaik specializes in marinated pork belly, rather than your typical beef. The food itself at Palsaik probably rates only 4 stars, but its uniqueness rates 5 stars. Food: Palsaik offers 8 different types of marinated pork belly: curry, galbi, garlic, ginseng, herb, hot pepper, miso, and wine. The marinades are not overpowering, and all are interesting in their own way. Palsaik also offers a small selection of beef: brisket, ribeye, and short rib. The different types of pork belly and beef can be ordered individually, or as part of different combos. Finally, Palsaik offers some different soups like Yukgaejang (a spicy soup with shredded beef, which can also be ordered with noodles) and Sullungtang (a milk white soup made by simmering ox tails). THE COMBOS ARE THE WAY TO GO. Each combo also comes with a small side salad, ssam (with includes a spicy dipping sauce known as ssamjang, some onions, and some lettuce leaves ... which are used to wrap the cooked meat), kimchi, bean sprouts (mung bean sprouts), and kimchi stew with ramen noodles. The pork belly (or beef) is cooked on a large metal plate (rather than a grill like many other Korean BBQ restaurants), along with the kimchi and bean sprouts. The pork belly comes in long 12-inch strips which are then cut into small, bite-sized pieces. For those who are less familiar or new to Korean BBQ, the servers will put the meat, kimchi, and bean sprouts on the cooking plate, and also set up the kimchi stew for you. The servers will also come by periodically to turn the cooking meat over and then cut it into pieces when its ready to eat ... so no need to wonder about how to cook the meat. Service: The service is friendly, although it can be somewhat inconsistent at times ... Palsaik has a mom-and-pop feel to it. Usually there are one or two younger servers who speak English and Korean, and an older Korean woman (ajumma) who speaks Korean and somewhat broken English. Bottom Line: Palsaik is great ... especially if you like pork.

Soooo delicious! This is truly one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the South Bay. The ambiance is lively (they're usually playing K-pop when we're there), and it always feels energetic. What really sets Palsaik apart is their signature pork belly combo: eight different flavors of pork belly, each one unique and incredibly flavorful. The combo also comes with ramen and a spread of kimchi, garlic, and jalapeños to grill alongside the meat. It's such a satisfying, memorable meal every single time. For the amount of food you get and the quality, the value is unbeatable. You get amazing bang for your buck. Highly, highly recommend!

Want to first say, I LOVE THE LIGHTING! I'm a big lighting freak when it comes to eating out, and may I say... THIS. WAS. PERFECT! I went here with close friends and got 2 orders of a combo meal to split amongst the four of us. It came out to a pretty good amount of food and we were all pretty stuffed by the end of it! (I eat a lot too) The service was very sweet too, and our server gave us room to eat, and didn't come by too too often. I appreciated that. Great place, great lighting, will come again!

We came on a rainy day and got the palsaik combo which comes with 8 marinated pork belly flavors and soup on the side. The combo was more than plenty of food for 3 of us and they cook the meat in front of you. Service was great and the food was hearty and comforting.

It's been a while since our last visit. We arrived a bit early for dinner at 4:30. There were diners ahead of us, and more diners arrived soon after we sat down. Glad to know they have a steady stream of customers! We ordered seasoned pork belly as that is our habit. The food was tasty, as usual. Next time, we may try the unseasoned pork belly. I just noticed it on the menu. Enjoy!

1) The food is great and very well seasoned. 2) The packages are well priced for the amount of food you get. 3) The owners cook the food for you and they're so kind! 4) Accesible parking and comfortable seating. 5) Very clean and accommodating for large groups. We are so grateful for the experience and the quality of the food. My family and I really enjoyed it and we will be back.

I recently dined at Palsaik (which translates to "8 Colors") during a trip to SoCal and really enjoyed the entire experience. I love that they grill the meat for you, and the food was excellent. I just wish we had a location in NorCal. My only minor feedback is that I wish the different marinades were a bit stronger so the flavors were more distinct as you eat. I remember the marinades being bolder when I visited a few years ago. That said, perhaps they've lightened them to highlight the natural flavor of the pork belly. Overall, I highly recommend Palsaik and would definitely revisit whenever I'm in SoCal.

Palsaik Samgyeopsal means "Eight colors of pork belly" in Korean. They serve you eight huge pieces of pork belly in different marinades and grill it for you tableside. I've had this restaurant in their original location in Koreatown, I ate it regularly when it was rebranded as "Eight" in Buena Park, and now that the Buena Park location is gone, I'm glad that I can have it here in Torrance at this location. This is a really fun way to have korean BBQ and I highly recommend it. I can't tell you that I love all of the variations of pork belly; however, the different flavors keep you on your toes. My favorite flavors of pork belly are ginseng, garlic, miso, and spicy. My least favorite flavors were their curry and herb flavors. Service is great. They do the cooking for you, and they refilled side dishes quickly. If you're not feeling pork belly or if you don't eat pork products, they also have a beef combo that's delicious. You should not hesitate to order the beef combo as the quality is great. But, make no mistake, the combos are the best way to get your bang for buck here. This is not an all you can eat place; however, their $70 "palsaik combo" is good for 2-3 people and comes with 8 large, thick, marinated pork belly slices, a huge kimchi stew/soup, a decent amount of side dishes (banchan). If you want to enjoy it the Korean way, enjoy your pork belly (samgyeopsal) as a lettuce wrap (ssam). To do this, take a leaf of lettuce and make a wrap with pork belly, sauce (ssamjang), and your choice of veggies (eg: garlic, kimchi, bean sprouts, onion, jalapeno, etc.). It's a five-star bite. I alternated eating my grilled pork belly pieces on their own, as a lettuce wrap (ssam), or with rice. I came on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other party here. If you like this place, then come and support it! Real talk: Losing my favorite restaurants (like "Eight" in Buena Park and Koreatown) is why I decided to start writing on yelp again after a ten-year break. Come here for a fresh take on korean BBQ.

A friend sent me a TikTok video of this place, and I was pleasantly surprised--it actually lived up to the hype. Unfortunately my Instagram hype places usually end up being all smoke and mirrors. Honestly, I'd say maybe 3 out of 10 are actually good. This one was a solid win. What I really loved was that they cook the food for you. I could just sit back, have a conversation, and enjoy my meal without worrying about smoke in my hair. I was literally right in front of the grill, and somehow not a single whiff came my way. The ribeye meat was the star for me--my top pick. It was just seasoned with salt and pepper, but very flavorful. I could have eaten the whole plate myself... The pork belly and everything else we tried were also delicious. The soup deserves a special mention--it had just the right amount of spice and was packed with flavor. I could totally see myself having a big bowl on a cold, rainy night--it would hit the spot perfectly. We ended up taking a lot of it home for my friend's husband, but honestly, I can't wait to bring my family next time--they're going to love it.

I took my wife to The Cut on our first Valentines together (not compensating) and they had good Wagyu. I was wrong, dear readers. Dead wrong. This place knows Wagyu. Whichever tier you get, make sure it either comes with, or add on the A5 Wagyu Filet. They'll tell you to cook it 45 seconds each side (so 6 times), but here's a trick. do 45 seconds on four sides (the top, bottom, and the long sides), and then a bit of salt if you need it and some lemon slice. ADD THE LEMON JUICE!! BUT NOT TOO MUCH. That will take you out. You're welcome peasants. Think of me when you try it. Or don't. I might be pooping and I don't like the idea of people thinking of me while I poo. The server was awesome too. I didn't catch her name because I was too busy being a fatass.

The meat was very good, although some pieces were more heavily marinated than I personally prefer, but overall it wasn't too much. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, and the whole experience felt very Japanese and authentic. The surrounding area also has quite a few authentic Japanese restaurants, so it's a great neighborhood for Japanese food lovers. Wow, back again, and once again, a great experience!…read more We had a party of nine and were seated at a great table along the back wall on the left side when you walk in. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the meal. The service was excellent all night. Russell was outstanding and truly an asset to this establishment. He was quick, friendly, attentive, and always on top of things, making sure his table (my table!) was happy and well taken care of throughout the evening. No issues whatsoever. The food kept coming, and the buffet bar offers a great variety of extras and side dishes that you don't have to cook yourself. Everything was well-stocked and fresh. Since I was paying the bill and taking the time to write this review, I wanted to make sure a well-deserved update was shared. No complaints, great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. The "salad bar" of special/side items was a neat touch and from what I sampled there everything was good (potato salad, kimchi fried rice, glass noodles and some wonton type thing, sorry I'm not great at remembering the Korean names) For meats we mostly stuck to basics like brisket, which came out fresh every time. We also ventured out with some octopus, squid and shrimp- no complaints from those who tried. Pork belly wasn't my favorite although the pork jowls (which I'd never had before) were actually delicious. Everyone was a big fan of the noodle bowls- I'm not a big noodle guy so I stuck to meats. Service was attentive, friendly and quick to bring out your food. The robot cat servers are a fun and neat addition, just make sure you grab the food labeled for your table. I knock one star for 2 minor reasons- 1) I think some instruction on the robot server should happen, one table accidentally grabbed our food unknowingly. 2) the stainless steel water cups they brought us gave off a filmy or oily layer when filled with water- not sure what that was, maybe some leftover detergent. All in all, I'd consider coming back, the food was great and I really don't mind a soft drink.

The brisket, which I got the fatty part of (they ask you if you want the lean or fatty cut) was my favorite of the three. So fatty, juicy and satisfying to eat. None of the meats really needed the sweet bbq sauce I got with the meal. The side items were spot-on as well. The potato salad, coleslaw and chili were the best I've had in quite some time. Some parts of Japan might feed their wa-gyu herd beer and rice. Sakakiyama apparently puts their cows on a steady diet of rice straw, then cashew nut meal. I can tell you, the result is pretty damn good. While there is still that lovely, oily, marbled fat, it is leveled out in harmony with the beef content. I think those of you that have bought like, some $150/oz A5 Wagyu cut from a high end steak place know just how cloyingly rich a mere 2 or 3 ounces of beef can be. We tried out every top tier cut you could grill at this fabulous yakiniku. A5 ribeye, A5 short rib, A5 chuck flap, A5 ribeye sukiyaki style (the thinly sliced beef to dip into a beaten raw egg), A5 top round, A5 topround steak cut, A5 sirloin, A5 tenderloin... and even.... A5 Chateaubriand (that lovely tenderest part of the tenderloin that includes the filet mignon). They are all lovely and enjoyable in their own way, in their own way that they begin to grill, or even the way the wagyu kind of caramelizes into its Maillard reaction of cooking that lovingly marries that amino acid meatiness to the beef's inherent sugars. Your bite into heaven is merely the cost of Sakakiyama beef. And that glorious Chateaubriand, so beefy, yet lusciously tender, as that melted marbled fat boosts its power the way hollowfication boosts Kurosaki Ichigo's bankai to untold magnitudes of dominance!!! And don't skimp on the sides. Splurge on that demure bowl of shiso rice. The seasoning and sliced shiso leaves over white rice really brightens and freshens up the palate in a way that really complements rich fatty wagyu beef. The plate of seasonal vegetables are also the way to go. Just do it. Fresh, acidity, crisp vegetables brings harmony to the whole experience. And pair it all to a glass of red wine, or tall glass of Suntory The Premium Malts. It's what Ryo Saeba, the City Hunter would do. If you're splurging this much, might as well go all the way. Ne? Nyaa?! Victory must be absolute. Personal service might be slow, but they only had like 2 people on staff on the floor, running between only... EVERY table. But if you want to get their attention, use the electric bell on the table. But they're good people. Nice people. The greatest people. Serving some of the greatest food, the greatest beef. So some reviewers might think this yakiniku joint is among the worst. But I think it's one of the greatest! [Last note: we were lucky to grab a 50% off premium cuts weekend discount, normally this meal which heartily fed a party of 4 with drinks, would cost in the neighborhood of over $600. But even they do have a more accessible menu of US Prime cuts along with A5 and non-A5 wagyu.]

Never been to this Manpuku location before. I visited the one on Sawtelle Blvd. a few times, but…read morethat was like 4 years ago. I remember really liking the food, so I'm not sure why it took me until yesterday to finally check this place out. It was absolutely amazing. They nailed every aspect of the dining experience. Let's start with the service. It was phenomenal. The restaurant staff members were pleasant and efficient. All the dishes came out very fast. While I cooked most of the meats on the grill, there were some items that were carefully prepared table side by staff. I enjoyed the ambiance of this place. There was music softly playing in the background. The room temperature was cool - an absolute necessity when cooking food right over open flames in front of you. I ordered the Manpuku Premium set. I loved the food, like a lot. Here's a run down of almost everything I had: Manpuku Salad: It was fantastic. I'm used to eating a Japanese salad with the generic carrot ginger dressing. You know what I'm talking about. This one had a nice sesame oil flavor to it. Not sweet, more savory. A refreshing change from the norm. U.S. Kobe Filet: This was probably my least favorite cut of meat of the day as it wasn't as marbled and flavorful as the rest of them. However, it was soft as butter - exactly what you would expect from a premium piece of tenderloin steak. Seared Beef Nigiri: It came with 4 pieces, but we ordered an extra two pieces. The nigiri was delightful. Imagine eating the perfect piece of toro nigiri except it was made of highly marbled Wagyu beef. U.S. Kobe Sukiyaki: This was easily the best thing I had here, and that's saying a lot since I had a lot of great food. While I was allowed to cook the rest of the cuts of meat on my own, this one was specially prepared by a restaurant worker since the meat had to be cooked and prepared in a certain way to maximize the flavor experience. The meat, when dipped in the raw egg yolk was pure bliss. Fried Rice: It came out sizzling hot in a stone bowl. The fried rice was okay, but absolutely necessary for the meal. A lot of the meats were very fatty. The fried rice did a bang up job soaking up the oiliness of the meats when consumed together. U.S. Kobe Boneless Short-rib, US Kobe Chuck Flap, and Miso Skirt Steak: These were all home runs. They were tender, fatty, and incredibly tasty. My favorite of this trio was the short rib since it was the most marbled of the bunch. Garlic Edamame: I've had my share of edamame in my life, prepared in a variety of different ways. I used to like how a restaurant called Backhouse in the Santa Monica area used to serve their garlic edamame. It was my favorite edamame around. Sadly, that establishment no longer exists. This restaurant's edamame reminded me of the Backhouse edamame. It was perfectly warm and flavored. Simply outstanding. For dessert, they let you select from a list of options. I had macha ice cream, as that is my favorite flavor of ice cream at a Japanese restaurant. It was very creamy and not overly sweet. Best part was the ice cream bowl was chilled. Kept the ice cream cold. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic dining experience.

I had a massive headache the last visit. Also the grill still had sauce on it from the previous customer & the "tea" was like hot water & cost us $10 for 2 TINY cups?!!! I don't remember the tea being so expensive. I wouldn't mind if it was actually good tea. Hmmm, we probably won't be returning. What we have gotten in the past & liked: namul ナムル, mushrooms キノコ, veg 野菜, jidori chicken thigh 地鶏もも肉, shrimp エビ (delicious), boneless short rib, wagyu... the salads are all good too & so was the egg soup.

While they seemed a bit understaffed during my visit;the friendly manager was definitely keeping busy, and my server was on her very first day; it's great to see they are actively bringing on more help. I ordered the premium Wagyu and pork belly, along with a few vegetable dishes, and everything was delicious. They also feature a fantastic beverage selection, including great draft beer, wine, and shochu options. Would recommend with groups, it has some great large portion options but it was fine if a bit pricey for a solo venture.

Whenever someone has a flight out of LAX, we like to have a preflight dinner and since the SF 49ers…read morewere playing tonight we wanted to catch the game too. So we found a perfect place that has plenty of seating, lots of TV's with many sports on and especially MNF. The food was really good. We went with the Family Feast Smoke Show. I just wished you had a choice of meats like Brisket instead of Chicken without having to go really big with the Big Smoke Family Feast. Because The Big Smoke was way too much food for us 5, we went with The Smoke Show and settled to have the Chicken. It was not a bad sacrifice as the smoked chicken was actually really good. The Tri Tip, St.Louis ribs, and the Cheddar Jalapeño sausage were all really good. The service was really good. Unfortunately no one in the family remembers her name, nor was it on my Toast receipt. But nonetheless she was attentive, gave us Iced Tea refills, and made sure we were good. Any future flights and we want some good BBQ or to watch a game, Sauced is a great option.

While the two restaurants have completely different vibes and flavors, Sauced is definitely a fun addition to the space and offers a different kind of dining experience. This spot is a BBQ restaurant, sports bar and games/entertainment all in one. They have an outdoor shuffle board and they even offer axe throwing here! It definitely has a fun game vibe. Food wise, I was impressed with several of their dishes. My favorite was their Swamp Fries. These are their version of loaded fries. It is waffle fries tossed in their house rub bbq, drizzled with chipotle lime ranch and topped with poblano queso, chives smoky baked beans and chopped brisket. I loved the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. I also enjoyed their Smoked Wings tossed in bbq sauce, their Chips with Poblano Queso and their Buffalo Cauliflower. Everything was packed with flavor and so good. It was definitely an indulgent meal. Overall, Sauced is a fun spot with good food, a lovely atmosphere, and plenty to enjoy. I'd definitely love to come back to try more of their menu!
