    Beef Bulgogi

I love this place so much. I come here for dinner when I'm staying in town for work. Such a cozy ambiance to dine in solo. The beef bulgogi is fantastic, arrives on the sizzling hot plate. Both the beef and onions perfectly sweet. Nice crisp on some pieces. The sides and miso come with your order with unlimited refills. You'll definitely get your moneys worth here, and the owner is kind and helpful. Amazing service. So happy I found this spot!

I tried a new Korean restaurant today and the food was delicious and affordable! The owners served us with welcoming smiles and prompt service throughout our meal. We enjoyed the ddukbokki, Spicy seafood noodles (jjampong), and pork belly with chives. Everything was a hit. The restaurant is located in the shopping plaza near Home Depot in the southeast corner of the plaza. Will definitely come back to try the numerous dishes in their menu!

This place serves absolutely wonderful Korean eats! Our family came in hoping to try a new Korean spot, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the owner is the same talented chef behind another restaurant we've always loved. It was no surprise that the food here was just as incredible. Everything tasted authentically Korean, comforting, and truly reminded us of home-cooked meals. We enjoyed an amazing dinner together -- the standout was the kimchi fried rice served in a stone pot, loaded with delicious melted cheese. The soy-ginger fried chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Korean noodles were some of the best we've ever had, and the pork belly fried rice was simply outstanding. We finished with mochi for dessert, even though we were already completely stuffed because everything was so good. The owners are extremely kind, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the entire experience was a genuine 10 out of 10. We will absolutely be returning many, many times in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal!

New Korean restaurant that opened up in the area that's great for your classic Korean foods! It's opened up by the same owner as 88Pocha in Gardena, so if you've been, you already know the food is amazing. They have similar menu items such as the Steamed Pork Belly w Chives, which is my favorite dish. The service was great as well! Our waitress was very friendly and hospitable. We were also able to say hi to the owner, which was nice. Inside, it's very bright and casual looking giving a comfortable vibe while eating. They were playing kpop dancing videos and playing some older gen kpop music. Will definitely be coming back here for great food and a great experience!!

Previous Owners of 88 Pocha. Found them by chance. So happy as my wife lives their Kimchee Fried Rice. Very different Menu, much simpler. I hope they will consider bringing on special occasions, their yummy Duk Boki Place is much smaller, super clean and food is tasty!

A small hidden gem in the South Torrance/PV area. This is what I would call an authentic bunsik style Korean food. Basically the type of food that students casually eat after school. I had bulgogi lunch box and katsu lunch box. Katsu was crispy and bulgogi was tender yet flavorful. I would recommend this place if you want to try authentic Korean comfort food.

I visited KITCHEN SODAM for lunch since it recently opened near my workplace, and I was thoroughly impressed! The restaurant itself is exceptionally clean and bright, and every dish looked incredibly appetizing. I ordered the Fried Squid (Ojing-eo Twigim), and it was a true standout. It tasted as if it was fried in perfectly clean oil, resulting in a phenomenal flavor and a wonderfully crisp texture. The food had such a noticeable depth of flavor and quality that I was compelled to ask if the owners had operated a restaurant before. I was delighted to learn that the chef/owners previously ran 88 Pocha in Gardena, and decided to move here for better hours! My family and I were frequent, happy customers at 88 Pocha--we loved the owners and the delicious food there--so having them open a new place so close is a huge bonus! As a side note, I'm happy to say that the ownership transition at the old 88 Pocha location must have gone very smoothly. We've been back a few times and honestly hadn't realized the owners changed! The food there is still delicious, and the new KITCHEN SODAM is equally amazing. It's wonderful to have two great options now! The food is truly fantastic. I will absolutely be a regular customer here. Highly recommend!~

A nice traditional Korean restaurant with yummy bancham, great service, and good prices. Finally found a spot close to home to hit the Korean food craving. Also loved the way they decorated and wrote the menu about the different dishes. It was clean as well. Owners are very nice! They indeed used to run 88 Pocha as the other reviewers mentioned.

Ate here for lunch for the first time. Near my job in the crossroads plaza, it's very good for what you get. Good food options and good service. The food was very authentic. The chicken was bomb. I would try the Bulgogi next. Definitely a place to check out if you want some Korean food.

    Steamed Pork Belly Chives

Before and after... By far the best pork belly I've ever had in my life. The way the vegetables, sauce and melt in your mouth pork belly combine together it was like a symphony in my freaking mouth. The service was amazing, they gave us complimentary dessert and were taking care of us extremely well. The ambiance was amazing as well, as the place was extremely welcoming and it felt like grandmas home cooking. Extremely recommend this place and one if not the best traditional Korean restaurants in the South Bay.

Rice cake and dumpling soup, broth is so good. Tastes like a home made bowl ^_^ Pork Belly Fried Rice and kimchi here is also very good.

This is in a little food court, but a high quality food court. There are so many great options here! Theres a parking lot, and plenty of seating inside and outside. It's a causal spot, nice and clean with plenty of options. You place your order at the counter (you can use the ipad to order, except if you want the Fak'ed up fries, those you need to order with an employee). The shrimp - I could eat these forever. Holy toledos these are so good. I got the karaage chicken with the cheehoo teri sauce. The sauce is soooooo bomb. The chicken is perfectly cooked. And the red noon is the perfect addition of acidity. The Mac salad was great, stick to your ribs kinda good Now I ordered several other plates for my friend, including the teriyaki chicken, and the fak'ed up fries with shrimp and karaage chicken. He said the fak'ed up fries were fire, so good, he didn't even know that's exactly what he wanted. I have to come back to try them - I didn't know they were a thing bc they're not on the menu. But after I placed my original order I saw a video of the fak'ed up fries on their board and they looked so good, I had to buy them for him. I also got him the crispy spam musubi and the POGua Fresca, and he loved those. I will definitely DEFINITELY be back here!

There are a lot of new options and unfortunately no more chicken katsu. After my previous review, the owner actually reached out and offered to have me come back and try the food again, which I genuinely appreciated. I never took them up on the free food offer because I prefer to keep reviews honest, but the gesture still stood out to me. This time I ordered the 2-item combo with the honey sesame chicken karaage and kalua pork. The karaage was easily my favorite part of the meal. It was crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I asked for all the sauces on the side and the green sauce paired really well with it. The kalua pork was tender, but a little sweeter than I personally prefer for traditional kalua pork, so I'd probably try a different protein next time instead. I also grabbed a spam musubi, but the portions were so generous that I didn't even get around to eating it until I got home later. While I still miss the old chicken katsu, I get that menus evolve, and overall this visit was a much better experience than my previous one.

Truthfully, I don't get that much a smoky taste from the pastrami, but it's still delicious. That corned beef is so wonderful, it's so tender and falls apart so easily upon a bite. Their soda menu is a very lowkey, unsung hero. I've tried soda brands you don't typically see in grocery stores. Their ginger ale hits the spot without fail each time. I think one drawback is that this place doesn't allow adjustments. I've personally never asked for any, but I can see how other customers might find that off-putting. I typically do a pick-up order vs. dining in, but when I do enjoy the sandwich in the restaurant - the service is super quick and cordial. The interior of the place itself isn't exactly upscale, but it's also more polished than a standard diner. Staff was friendly but it did take awhile after placing orders for anything to come out of the kitchen. The bread basket we got within the first 10-20mins was nice. It had banana bread, dinner rolls and crisps which came with pesto butter. However, the rest of our food did take a while (almost 45mins) to come out which our party was pretty big so I guess I would say contributed to the wait. When the food did come out some of our party didn't get their order at the same time, which I will have to say takes away from the overall experience. I ordered the Pene Pasta with bolognese from the daily plates which I hoped would have been good and a bowl of soup (pumpkin soup was the soup of the day). However, there wasn't a lot of flavor to the overall dish and I found the meat bits in the sauce were crunchy for some reason. The few veggie bits in the dish were decent. The soup was good but overall nothing mind blowing. Overall the experience was a mixed bag.
