This is a small, mom and pop shop that's definitely a locals only spot. They're always so quick with bringing out my order and is a solid spot for Chinese food! I like how their food doesn't taste overly heavy or greasy and haven't had a dish I didn't like. I definitely recommend their peking duck! Very impressive old school Cantonese-style Chinese hole in the wall restaurant! Went for first time a little while ago and liked it enough but when I returned months later they blew me away! The duck actually has crispy skin if you order either the roasted version and also (of course) Peking style. It was juicy and tender, much better than so many places I have been in decades of eating Chinese food! Peking duck we ordered came with the actual meat not just the skins. Very abundant and juicy. Meat fell off the bone for the drumstick! They also have Hong Kong style crispy noodles and they do it just right! Don't over fry the noodles and it's not too oily. Loads of gravy. The pork version comes with a ton of bean sprouts (yum) which reminds me of tri-shred liang mian huang! Also the rice was perfectly cooked--not too moist, nicely chewy. Not sticky. Very abundant. In fact all our portions were very generous on our recent visit!! I previously had visited where portions were much smaller so I'm happy that they've improved things since. read more

I stopped by to pick up lunch after getting a haircut next door as I was craving Chinese food. I ordered the mabo tofu lunch special to go and it was delicious and hit the spot! The tofu had a very kick to it only- I wish I was spicier but it was flavorful so I was satisfied. The portion size was quite large for a lunch special as well. The mabo tofu came with rice. Went to pick up a whole roast duck to go, many, many years ago, recommended by a friend. This is a very small restaurant, nothing fancy, no decor , but that's not important. The roast duck was good, so I thought to return and try out their other dishes! It was a busy evening for the restaurant, and there was just one waitress. I was in no hurry, we waited for a while for the waitress to clear a few tables , for all their waiting guests to sit down. We had the Sour and spicy soup, roast duck ( just an appetizer size) , wonton soup noodles and a special dish on their board, the 竹笙玉子豆腐, a tofu dish. The orders came rather quickly. Considering there was a table with 10 guests , another with 6 guests, 2 other tables of 2-3 guests. I give credit to the chef in the kitchen for sending every table their orders without long delays. We've been going to Nice China Cafe for years and hav enjoyed the taste of the food. Recently however when I visited with my daughter we noticed that the lunch special is not as good in value as before. The lunch special just comes with a small scoop of rice and small portion of the entree and nothing else. We came on Chinese New Year Day, so we reserved Lobster, Roasted Duck, and their Signature Pumpkin Pork Ribs Dish. All of these plus the Almond Tang Yuan Dessert need to be reserved in advance. They are famous for their roast duck! Not really particularly fond of cooked duck in general. However, when roast duck is serve hot, its crunchies and juicy can be tastedully appreciated. Do not forget their other dishes too! Space have few seats that are convenient only for few customers for lunch and dinner. Nice China Cafe is amazing!! It's absolutely Cantonese comfort food. Some waitresses speak Cantonese and some speak Mandarin. My go to orders are the sesame beef, shrimp with scrambled egg, and tofu with fish fillet and black bean sauce. The orders come with rice and tea. The service is very quick. They also do takeout orders. There's a parking lot with plenty of space. Great Chinese food in the South Bay! Nice Cafe is a small eatery located in Rolling Hills Plaza. Lunch specials are good, but the best dishes are the ones you have to reserve ahead of time. The whole garlic shrimp comes with the heads to suck on and a ton of garlic on the shrimp meat. The roasted pork cheek is so juicy and probably the best version of chasiu I've had in a while. The shrimp stuffed chicken is crispy and flavorful. The pork ribs with pumpkin is amazing! The winter melon soup is very warm and comforting. Definitely try it out if you're in the area! read more

I liked every dish with the exception of the fried shrimp was a little salty. Mapo tofu was spicy so good for spicy lovers. Glad to have found an authentic Chinese resturant that's not in the 626 area. I think my favorite has to be the soy sauce chicken, was tender. Sweet and sour soup was delicious too.
