Very fresh and good tasting Chinese food. The dishes are all made to order. The chef worked at a restaurant in Hong Kong and opened his own place here. It's a cozy place in the PV mall near the Good Stuff.

Green Scallion Pancake. Light and tasty.

We had gone to W's China Bistro years before and enjoyed it but never tried Lotus until last night…read moreand we are so glad we did! Our usual not-so-usual go-to for Chinese in the South Bay had been Seashore at Calle Mayor and PCH but I remembered the food being somewhat bland on the last visit several months back. We have also enjoyed Lunasia (for Dim Sum) and Ruiji farther east on PCH but it has been a long time (at least for Ruiji) and the reviews and pictures for Lotus looked really good. I also liked the All-Day Happy Hour! $3 house wines, beer and hot sake as well as the complimentary (and delicious) garlic noodles with $50 purchase ($11.95 value). We ordered the Crispy Crabmeat Cream Cheese Wontons ($10), Spicy Orange Crispy Chicken ($21.95), Kung Pao Chicken ($21.95), Sweet and Sour Pork ($20.95), Beef with Broccoli ($20.95), Mongolian Beef ($21.95) and Crispy Honey Shrimp ($25.95). Yeah, the prices, I know, but again the All-Day Happy Hour and the free noods! The food was a hit...everything was great, fresh ingredients, packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken wasn't spicy so don't worry if that's not your jam...the Mongolian Beef was probably my favorite and the crispy honey shrimp was lightly fried "to perfection". I hate that phrase but it is appropriate here, truly. Service was excellent. The food came out very quickly and our server was fantastic. It was my 87 year old Mom's birthday and they brought out a cheesecake and candle for her too. We did have tons of left-overs so it will go a longer way which helps with the cost. HIGHLY RECOMMEND; they've definitely earned the top Chinese spot for me.

However, it was worth it! We had the Special Hong Kong Garlic Lobster, Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Garlic Noodles, and Hot and Sour Soup. The service was fast and friendly. The food was uniformly great. The soup was excellent as was the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The Fried Rice was good, although I wish they had BBQ Pork Fried Rice, but that is not to be. In short, I upped my rating and we'll be back in less than 2 years.

I was in the area and really hungry, so I searched for highly rated Asian food nearby and decided…read moreto give Kim's BBQ a try. I arrived early for lunch and was their first customer of the day, which made for a very relaxed experience. I was able to choose a comfortable booth and was helped quickly. I ordered the bibimbap and asked if they had hot barley tea. They did, and I was genuinely excited because a lot of Korean restaurants in California don't offer it. I love having hot barley tea with Korean food, so that was a big plus for me. The banchan came out in generous portions. Everything was tasty, especially the seaweed dish and the sliced fish cake, which I really enjoyed. The kimchi was on the mild side -- personally I would have liked a little more spice -- but it was still good. The bibimbap itself was flavorful, filling, and satisfying. The only thing I didn't care for was the side of rice. It just wasn't very good, which is unusual because rice is usually one of the easiest things to get right. I only took a couple bites of it, but fortunately there was plenty of other food, so it didn't really affect the meal overall. What stood out most to me was how comfortable and relaxed the restaurant felt. They have spacious seating, comfortable booths, and a nice sound system that gives the place a good atmosphere without being overwhelming. I would definitely come back if I were dining in the area again.

We got to sit in our usual spot right in the center, overlooking the ocean and pool, such a beautiful view and always our favorite. Our fur baby Louie got to join us, as always, which made it extra special. Everything we ordered was so good, from the sushi to the shaken beef to the miso soup. And the beer definitely hit different after giving it up for Lent lol! They also added chicken skin on their menu and my husband enjoyed that a lot! We also tried the ube cheesecake, and wow... it was seriously so good and exactly what we needed to end the meal. Our waiter was amazing. super friendly, attentive, and even took what felt like a million pictures of us without hesitation, all while keeping a smile on his face. This is why Bashi will always be one of our favorite spots at Terranea. Cheers, Bashi Team!

The shaking beef was $40 and now $47 with less beef and maybe a dust of onions and potatoes which also compared to the past barely fills 2 people. Prior it use to be enough for 3-4. Finally the pricy garlic noddles, we ordered 3x and same thing they are not worth it for sharing portion vs price. The waitress did not seem to care, and kept blaming the chef. It is the last time we spend our money here. Basically, we paid $400 for a party of 5 adults and ended up going to another restaurants since we were still starving after dining at Bashis.

The appetizer of housemade dumplings with chicken and shiitake mushrooms with a chili vinegar dipping sauce was tasty start. The short rib and salmon dinners were also creative and well prepared. The atmosphere is ideal for date nights or group catch-ups, although the tables are quite close together, so you may hear the conversation of the people sitting next to you. Service is always warm and attentive. The first time we went to Little Sister in 2025, the food did not impress me, but this time was a different story. Little Sister excelled at bold tastes and textures through a Vietnamese fusion lens. The papaya salad was bursting with flavor and crunch from the candied shrimp and roasted peanuts. The Shorty offered a mix of umami and sweetness from the braised short rib. The dessert, a Vietnamese coffee custard, was divine. We left feeling stuffed and with leftovers. Their cocktail list is also full of unique selections. I opted for the Kennedy, a vodka-based drink with passion fruit liqueur, pineapple, lime, and egg white. It was very well-balanced while also quite strong. My partner got the XO, Little Sister's version of an old fashioned. The blend of citrus and spices was really pleasant. Parking is generally not too difficult at this location. There are metered spots in an adjacent lot for $2/hr until 9 pm. Would recommend a stop during Dine LA week for the deals and food!
