I used to live in San Jose California, which had a huge Vietnamese population, so we had access the some of the best Pho restaurants in the U.S. Pho Legend is up there with the great Pho restaurants I have become used to. Pho broth was delicious, but everything else was "meh". Ambiance is good, lots of airplanes hanging from the ceiling, and diner like seating, not what I was expecting but it was pleasant. Wait staff were nice and attentive. Despite being only 1 of 3 parties in the restaurant, our food took over 40 minutes to arrive. The pho portion is very large, ample noodles, but the premium $20+ rare steak was somewhat chewy. Another critique is the small plate of veggies and bean sprouts were not enough for two large bowls, each bowl should have had its own plate of veggies. The worst part of our meal was my son's orange chicken; very small portion for $13 and it was COLD! Unfortunately my son, who is just too nice, didn't say anything to us until we left the restaurant. I wanted to like this place, as I moved from a pho rich area of the country and regularly enjoyed $12 bowls of pho of higher quality, but I just don't think it's worth the premium price. read more

New dining experience in Anthem! My Girlfriend and I came here to try this new restaurant and also to support our neighbor. This was my first time trying a new type of food/cuisine other than the usual burgers and chicken fare. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining some of the menu offerings and best recommendations. The decor was fresh and vibrant and very inviting and cozy. Kinda cool with the Air Plaines hanging from the ceiling!. The food was terrific and freshly made and you can tell the Chief takes pride in serving a quality dish and skilled presentation. Alc was mid, we ordered drinks and the waitress took over 10 minutes for just the waters, and forgot the alcohol. Didn't have half of their menu available, not like a traditional pho restaurant AT all, but i get it because of the area. Not worth the $$. good sauces though. We had dinner at Pho Legend last night with another couple, and it was excellent, starting with delicious spring rolls and on to pho and other great entrees. I got the chicken pho and normally I don't like pho but this one was SO good! The owner Mei also came by and spoke to us like we were close acquaintances asking if the food was good and asking for suggestions on how to make it better. I was glad to see a pho place open so close to home. However they have a way to go to be good. I ordered chicken pho and the chicken was chewy, the broth was way over salted and the greens had a overpowering peppery taste which made the whole bowl unsatisfactory. I went here once right when it opened and instantly regretted it. I just gave it a second try And it was even worse. I could sit my finger in the broth and leave it there how is my raw meet supposed to cook. The key to a good bowl of pho is your broth come on guys. The spring rolls had no flavor they only tasted like rice noodles. Here's a suggestion Hotter broth so the meat and noodles cook Real sriracha not the one you guys use simbal oelek chili paste And don't use the chili oil you're using it's disgusting and fishy definitely not the right kind. I should've just walked out and not paid for my food but I respect the work that's put in so it should always be paid for. Definitely isn't a Legend of pho please change your name. The Thai tea was delicious and well balanced and the pho bo was delicious, albeit slightly on the mild side for the broth. Whenever we move to a new place, we look for a group of restaurants like Italian, Japanese, etc. And for the last two years, we have tried Vietnamese restaurants in greater Phoenix area. As seasoned "foodies," we always want an authentic/healthy/reputable food experience wherever we live or travel. When we tried this restaurant for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised to taste very fresh and clean tasting and delicious food! So we went back and had the same experience.
