This business was another on my Try list and I didn't realize it was next door to Yutaka where I was having dinner. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit and came here for a sweet treat. I knew they served boba but didn't know they were also a full service restaurant with Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I only ordered a Thai Green Tea with boba this time but I will eventually come back to try out their food. The interior was large, spacious, and clean. We've been to this plaza many times and always drove past Cha Yen; finally, we decided to check it out. We got there around 1 p.m., and it was empty. We were the only ones there, but a couple more people came in after we sat down. The place is spacious, and they also has a cute little seating area with two lounge chairs by the window, which has a different vibe than the rest of the restaurant. We ordered the regular pho, Eggplant Lover, a sampler platter, pineapple fried rice, and mango sticky rice. We also wanted to try the Angel Wings, but they were out. Came by on a Sunday evening around 6pm. Few other patrons and plenty of tables to choose from. Had a hard time choosing from their extensive menu (Thai and Viet options). Decided on chicken pad thai, pho dac biet, and a lychee slush. Everything came out pretty quick. Wife thoroughly enjoyed her pad thai and claims it was top tier. My pho broth was light and flavorful; meats were tender, noodles were just right. Pretty decent bowl of pho. Our to go orders of rice noodles with grilled pork/egg rolls and stir fried beef were equally delicious. Very cute restaurant! Well decorated, clean and inviting. Appreciate that it's family owned. The staff is really nice too. We ordered from the Healthy drink menu and got the coconut and the coconut strawberry. They were nice sizes and looked cute but were way too sweet, like straight fructose, so we had 2 sips and tossed them. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu today and a mango passionfruit redbull. Everything is a 10/10 -- food, taste, drinks, atmosphere, customer service, etc. My pad thai was served so fresh and real hot -- noodles are perfect texture, spice is perfect, and it's delicious. Ok I keep trying this again and each time my rating goes down. I came in with my two boys at 1:30pm. We were the only ones eating..I ordered pho tai, egg rolls( menu says pork egg rolls served with fish sauce. There is NO pork in the egg roll and I had to ask for the fish sauce), the BBQ pork and egg roll goi ga (rice noodle salad)... No extra fish sauce came with the salad... The sauce makes the salad what it is. It was very bland without it. We also ordered a dragon fruit slush and a strawberry banana smoothie with boba. I also ordered waters for each of us. Now.. keep in mind. We are the ONLY ones currently in the restaurant. They brought ONE water. I then asked for 2 more... I got ONE more. Like... Huh...?? I also had to ask for extra bowls (it was a little obvious we were all sharing), and the pho tai did not come with the side of bean sprouts, limes, and cilantro that usually comes alongside it that you add to the soup.. Around 1:45 another group of 3 came in and I was surprised to see how frazzled it made the workers. They acted like the restaurant was packed. No music so the atmosphere is already awkward. Staff is clearly new and even those that are not, seem to not understand any level of accommodations when it comes to dietary restrictions. Super duper strange. There were not even a lot of a guests but they could not manage the register and a few tables at a time so we had orders put in at random times and then they forgot my husbands food and just brought us the check instead... they could for sure do better. The service was outstanding! Our server was exceptionally thorough with explaining the menu. The restaurant itself is super clean and very easy to order from the menu. The specialty drink selection is fantastic! Most are $5.99 and a nice variety. We ordered the appetizer combination. The spring rolls were delicious. I had number 39. The stir-fried egg noodle with chicken and my husband had number 42 same thing but a combination of shrimp, beef and chicken. The portions are very generous, not overly seasoned or sauced and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. We also ordered Thai iced tea drinks with cold cream foam. Wonderful atmosphere! Excellent for a date night. The drink menu was amazing! We were there for dinner but ended up getting several different drinks and they all were great! We were a bigger group so there was an issue with getting everything out all at the same time so we could eat together but it wasn't horrible. The food was really good. We got all different things. I ordered this based on the great reviews, but I 10000% don't understand how they got good reviews. The spring rolls are absolutely shocking , so cheap and taste like trash. They stuff them with ICEBURG lettuce!!! There's no mint or typical fillings and the shrimp is extra rubbery with the chicken being excessively dry. I'm not picky and I never ever leave reviews but this place was shocking for the prices. i ordered 2 boba smoothies and got warm watery milk teas instead with the wrong boba for over 7$ a piece. The pho was bland and the chicken was dry. 10/10 would NOT recommend and would Never ever eat here again. read more

Excellent restaurant, big servings, wonderful drinks that are also very large, the food is good, and service is great. I have had the combination pho and pad thai, both very generous servings, lots of tofu and noodles. I have had the vietnamese coffee and tiwanese milk tea, both great. For the pad thai, I would prefer just a little less noodles and more egg & onions, but that is personal preference perhaps. I will be coming here frequently, looking forward to everything else on the menu, especially the drinks. read more
