Visited Dao today for the first time and it was OK. We ordered the sizzling rice soup (no sizzle), orange chicken and general tso. Like I said everything was ok but the service was lacking. The ambiance was chill but the tables are so close to each other that you can hear everyone's conversations. Bathrooms were dirty too.

I never expected there to be such a good local Chinese food place this far up north of Phoenix. We came real late but the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food also came out insanely fast (we were also the only ones there but still) We ordered the orange chicken which was really good, huge in portion the entire plate was full. We also got the Mongolian beef, this was also really good, if anything just a tad salty but i also love salty foods. It wasn't spicy at all really but the flavor was amazing. We got some green beans of course for veggies, perfectly cooked and super tasty. And we also got some shrimp fried rice of course, which was so good. I love me a good fried rice and this was just it. Overall super tasty I loved it, my friends loved it and we would totally come back again

Our group of 9 stopped here before heading back to California. As soon as we arrived we got seated right away. They did take like 5 to 10 minutes to give us menus, but also many of our group was using the restroom so I dont blame them. The menu had a lot of items that looked good and it was hard to decide what to get. Everyone ordered from the lunch special and we were happy we did because as you can see from the pictures it was a great amount of food. The Thai tea was great and strong how I like it. Both soups were amazing that some of us wanted more eventhough it was 108 outside. I got the sweet and sour pork and it had just the right amount of sauce and I loved the rice. The service was amazing and I will definitely stopped by when in the area.

food was top tier, service was crazy quick, and the music and cleanliness of the restaurant made the dining so enjoyable. i would definitely recommend and come here again

The food here is very authentic. The ingredients are fresh and have a great taste. They make the food the Chinese way. Owners are nice, work hard, cook great and very pleasant. The bathroom is always clean and well kept. We like it so much that we eat there multiple times. The atmosphere is cozy. Kice place for a date or a get together. This place is good for dining in or calling to go order. They have this cool automated KOI pond projected on the wall. It is very relaxing to watch. We will be back.

This location has the 2nd but they sadly had to shutdown other location during covid and staffing issues did have to shutdown the restaurant. Service was promptly and server(s) were very nice and willing to explain the menu should you have any questions. Drinks were at the table were within 5 or so mins and they give a freebie of fresh made chips and sweet and sour to dip in. Food wasn't very long after we ordered, 4 of us, it was nice and hot/fresh. Our drinks were kept full and we were checked in on often if we needed anything even though the restaurant was fairly full and busy. My personal opinion about the teriyaki chicken was that it had a fairly strong taste of peanuts. So should you have allergies be cautious. The wife had the Shrimp and vegetables. The portions was pretty large for a lunch menu so the wife and I each shared to get a biggie variety. I do recommend the lunch specials so long as it's before 3pm. The restroom was a fair sized but might have an issue if you use a wheelchair. The bathroom is a unisex and only seen one in total. The restaurant was playing some music and it was still ok to have a conversation with the opposite side of the table. Though it could be a lil tough if your a bit hard of hearing. With regard to any discounts, I failed to ask so my apologies with that. All told I'll certainly return here should I be in this area of the valley. I'd not hesitate to send my family and friends here.

Love this place! Right next to work and it's Homemade authentic, fresh and oh so delicious! Bought out stickers but they were so good I ate them all and forgot to take any photos!

Kung Pow Chicken lunch special. Excellent.

We got lucky driving through Cave Creek heading north. Delicious food and for great price! The chop suey was my favorite.

Nice wine selections, delicious bites, and friendly/helpful staff. They offer several wine tasting flights (3-2 oz. pours for $19), as well as by the glass or bottle. There are also several non-alcoholic options, as I was unable to imbibe on this visit. WINE & FOOD: My wife tried three different tasting flights, the Diamond (white wines), the Ruby (red wines), and the Amber (dessert wines). My mother-in-law had a glass of the Moscato D'Asti from Piedmonte, Italy ($13), and I had a non-alcoholic Copenhagen Sparkling Tea ($14) and a Diet Coke ($4). We also tried their Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($15) and the Italian Meatballs ($19) and finished it off with the Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake ($13). Everything was delicious and all selections were perfect for the wine flights we paired them with. Bottle prices were reasonable, and we left with all three of the dessert wines, and a bottle of the Arneis. NOTE: I heard that the Turquoise Wine Bar Glendale has recently been awarded Wine Spectator's 2026 "Award of Excellence". Whether you live in the Phoenix area or are visiting from out of town, I highly recommend that you check this place out.

I looked at what was nearby and Osteria Mia looked really good. It would be a half hour wait, but there were immediately open seats at the bar. We headed there and took seats at the far end so we could talk. I ordered the Pasta Norcina and he ordered the Carne pizza. The pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in the last 18 months. Granted, I don't eat a lot of pasta, and even fewer cream sauces, but it sounded soooo good and exceeded expectations! He enjoyed the crispness of the hand-stretched crust and quality toppings. Cody was our server and was simultaneously handling all the drink orders with occasional help. He was a good server for someone pulling double duty. What made the day super sucky (until dinner) is that my guy's father had passed away in the hospital after a recent cancer diagnosis. My guy needed to eat after days of intense worry and erratic mealtimes. And we needed some quality time together. Thank you, Osteria Mia, for making a dark day a bunch brighter.

We shared the Bang Bang Shrimp, a favorite of ours. The flavor was great as always, although this batch seemed to have a little more batter than usual. Not a big issue, just something we noticed. We ordered the lobster sliders to split and they were great. The order comes with three sliders, and each one was generously filled with chunks of lobster. I also loved the addition of diced tomato and avocado, which added texture. The sliders were a good size. We added a side of truffle fries, which unfortunately fell flat. They looked like regular fries and, while they did have some truffle flavor, they were missing the Parmesan cheese and seasoning that typically make truffle fries stand out. They were okay, but a bit disappointing. We had a nice lunch. The only downside was the price. For one appetizer, one lunch entrée, fries, and one cocktail the total came to over $75, which felt a little steep for lunch. That aside we loved the sliders and would order them again and we always order the Bang Bang Shrimp when we're there.
