Glad to have a location open in Milpitas. They remodeled very nicely. There wasn't a line on a Saturday at lunch, but they were decently full. Service is very efficient. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out almost instantly. The pho broth is not super flavorful, but at least it came out hot. I got the fresh noodles which also isn't the best here, they're a little too crumbly. I ordered the pho tai chin - the tai meat was very good and tender, but the chin meat was very tough. We also ordered the nem nuong cuon and thit nuong cuon. The nem nuong meat was not good and I wouldn't order again. The thit nuong though was pretty good. Overall, there are better pho places around but Pho Ha Noi still hits if you need a bowl of pho. read more

This pho place is new to my neighborhood and it's been flooding my IG page. Had to give it a place cuz the convenience of how close is it to my house and the reviews here seem worth it to try. Came here with my friend and daughter for lunch on a Thursday. Parking lot is packed with small parking spaces. The restaurant is in a little corner location with other shops and restaurants. The decor and ambiance is nice. I give that a 5/5. I liked all the plates , cups and utensils. The person that sat us down was in friendly. They put a piece of butcher paper down and then the utensils for cleanliness. They have a big menu of food and drinks. Our waitress came back plenty if times to ask us if we were ready to order. They use an electronic device to take peoples orders. Our order: Appetizer : * fried fish sauce chicken wing 5/5 the crispiness was perfect. I really enjoyed all the flavors. I'm not that big of a fish sauce but this was delicious. My favorite thing I ate there today. *spring rolls 3/5 very filling like bigger pieces. The flavor just wasn't there. I think the meat was just too thick for my liking. Main dish: * sautéed flap meat pho with fresh noodles 2/5. This was totally different. I've never had thick fresh pho noodles and they were soggy to my liking. The meat wasn't "flappy" like I thought it would be. Like the thin raw kind but cooked. And was I wrong. The broth was good tasting. But the flavor was seriously not there for the meat. *grilled pork vermicelli, my friend ordered this and so didn't try it. But the it looked appealing. It didn't look like the usual bowl of noodles and everything was deconstructed. Drinks: We ordered two ube Vietnamese coffees. When they brought it out it didn't come with the ube so we waited for them to come back so we can tell them. This was horrible. Like it tasted like medicine. I tried mixing it all together and that didn't help either. I would never order it again. I love ube and i love Vietnamese coffee but unfortunately this wasn't it. I do have to give a shout out to the guys delivering the hot soup. Cuz they yell out hot soup so people don't run into them...especially little kids. Very helpful. Unfortunately this one doesn't live up to the OG one in Vietnam Town. I ordered my usual: Mi Ga Roti and unfortunately the whole dish lacked any flavor. The noodles especially did not have the "roti" sauce that is usually mixed into a dry noodle. The side of beef pho broth was a total miss. No beef flavor or anything. It just tasted like water. Lovely restaurant inside. The re are many rooms to have a group lunch or private affair. We had six in our party and we all ordered something different. The spring rolls were so good as an appetizer. We went for the picture of beef rib pho. Then I saw ox tail phô, so I had to try. The broth is quite tasty for all the pho. My ox tail was a little fatty, so I had to remove a lot. I'm so happy they opened a Pho Ha Noi so close to me! We really like the other location in San Jose but it was always so far. So we resulted in going to other local pho spots to satisfy our craving. I will say that there is no other place that's like this. The raw steak is unmatched and for some damn reason the broth is just so good. Taking off 1 star because they don't stock hoisin and sriracha sauce at each table. They give you a small portion in a platter but I feel like it's never enough to taste my food to my liking, thus me having to ask for more. Overall, the place is super cute and nicely decorated. Second time visiting this location. Very new and spacious. We like this location a lot. Both we and my boyfriend ordered the S1(roasted chicken with egg noodles). The egg noodles have a little garlic flavor to it, very delicious. Chicken is crispy and delicious (the sauce is very tasty) although it is a little bit dry on the inside so after a few bites it could feel a little hard to swallow. Located in Vietnam town and one of the busiest restaurant in the area serving Pho and many other dishes and they all taste great. You know a good place when you see the local go there especially mostly VN people in the area. I've seen many Hispanic liking the food there too. The food is definitely fresh since they are so busy most of the time and their service staffs are fast too. There's many locations around the Bay Area do you fit to try it out. My favorite are Bo Luc lac (Diced beef with rice) and crispy sweet rice with fried chicken with special sauce. read more

This place is very trendy on social media and I've been wanting to give it a try. It was my first time trying Pho Ha Noi and I had high expectations due to the amount of popularity it got, however it didn't live up to its expectation and is overall decent pho! I will say that the restaurant had a cozy aesthetic and all the dishes were plated super nicely. It's located in the corner of the plaza which makes it look small, but the place is actually very big and has lots of tables and seating. We were seated right away on a Friday night with no wait time. I ordered the bo ne which was said to be around a 15 minutes wait. However, it came out very quick, shortly after our combination pho came out. The bo ne tasted very good, and my steak was cooked nicely. I would've liked it better if the bread was lightly toasted or warm. We also got combination pho, but we weren't a fan of it and will not be ordering it again. When we first learned that a new Vietnamese restaurant was opening in Milpitas, we wanted to try it seeing the Yelp reviews. The food was pretty good. The rolls was a nice surprise, it arrived quickly, and tasted yum. Everything tasted fresh. The Korean ribs my wife ordered was more on the sweet side, but my wife enjoyed it. I ordered the sizzling steak. It was pretty good too, but was mildly disappointed that it seemed to have been sitting on the waiting table before it was served to me. It's why I have four stars. Sizzling should be sizzling, right? I understand though, they're super busy. The service wants to be good, but they might be a tad understaffed. The service was great. The decor is nice and refurbished. The drinks we ordered were really good. The reason why I deducted 2 stars is because of the quality and cleanliness. The pho broth was light and lacked any taste in my opinion. Maybe it wasn't stewed long enough?, or that my pho had a ton of green onions in it and had overtaken the flavour? Probably will order with onions on the side next time. For cleanliness, towards the end of my meal I found a piece of plastic the size of my pinky nail attached to the meat. Unpalatable. Very good pho. Broth is light but tasty. Ordered the Beef Short Rib Pho. Waitress was nice enough to give me a separate plate with a knife and fork to cut the short rib into pieces which was very helpful. I enjoyed this dish. The meat on the short rib was tender but keep in mind that the cartilage attached to the meat and bone can be a little difficult for the elderly to chew so if you're bringing grandparents here, you might want to go with a different type of pho. This place was crazy busy during lunch today as the grand opening was only yesterday. Restaurant was full of patrons during the lunch hour but the pho came out super fast and was nice and hot. I've been going to pho hanoi for years and have been to the Milpitas location couple times. Today was the first time I was disappointed. The broth was flavorless and very bland. I had to add a lot of hoisin and sriracha to give it some flavor. However, my friends broth was much better. The food was decent and would have rated higher if there weren't some errors in service. Closer to 3.5 stars than 3. The decor looked very trendy and higher class than a typical mom and pop pho shop. The good: I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (special beef) while my partner ordered the Pho Tai Chin (beef flap meat). We also ordered the Nem Nuong Rolls, Salty Lemon Soda, and Ube Coffee. The food and drinks came out quickly and the pho broth had a good amount of flavor while being a bit on the salty and oily side. We had no real complaints about the quality of the food other than that. The less good: The initial drink orders came out incorrect where we got an iced Vietnamese coffee instead of one of the salted lemon soda. We got that fixed quickly after flagging down the waiter. The weird: After asking about what my partner thought of her pho we realized that something was off when she mentioned her broth tasted nothing like how I was describing mine. This is a pho joint, but three words... CRIPSY STICK RICE. In my mind this is called Crispy Sticky Rice Ha Noi. The stick rice has crispy exterior with a soft interior with glaze of a sweet sauce. The chicken on the rice place is juicy and moist which makes the dish come together in flavor and texture. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I don't think North San Jose is really known for having good pho so Pho Ha Noi opening here is nice but the fact that it doesn't open past 9 p.m on weekends defeats the late night pho cravings. Came at around 5 p.m and was seated quickly. The seating area is huge and pretty clean. Ordered two items and food came out 10 minutes later. Pho Tai Chin (3.5/5): Pretty average pho. Nothing too special and nothing to hate about. It's a little on the pricy side for pho though so just keep that in mind. Xôi Gà Roti (4/5): Chicken was well seasoned but I loved the crispy rice. Again, pretty pricy for a $19 dish that's this small. Che Thai (2.5/5): I don't have a picture but it did not taste like traditional Che Thai. Maybe they messed up somewhere but $7 for a cup full of ice and barely any toppings is not worth it. All in all, would come here again if I'm really craving pho but it's really nothing special. read more

Always made sure my water was full. I love that. Food: I ordered the combination pho and cubed beef with my SO. Pho: i grew up eating pho with my family and my standard of good pho comes from the local pho restaurant i ate at. The pho here was very fresh and the noodles were cooked perfectly, but the broth to me was very lacking. It was very bland and watery. Cubed beef dish: meat was well cooked, but the sauce was too salty for me to enjoy the vegetables. The tomato rice was excellent along with the salad. Overall: great experience to try out. I was pretty excited about visiting this new location especially after seeing all the IG posts. It's located pretty close to Great Mall in a nearby plaza. Upon entering the lot, we found parking pretty quickly. We got there at 645PM on a Friday and had only a 5 min wait. You immediately see how well decorated it is and how clean it is. It's a new space after all. The servers were fine. They came by like other viet pho places every 2 min until we ordered lol. Pressure was on but I like the menu options and the extensive drink and Che options. Sadly, the server told us they were out of the fresh pho noodles (what they are famous for) and also the small sized beef steak. I was bummed on both counts. Why I'm giving it such is a negative review is the bun bo hue was terrible! I've never had such bad BBH ever. The broth was so bland. It had no flavoring and seemed watered down. They gave us no veggies for it, only sliced lettuce but no herbs was a killer no. For $17 you expect at least decent BBH from a pho place (not BBH specialized level) but this was below par. Our table also got the combo beef pho. It was good but not amazing. The broth was on the salty side and I felt for the price was middle of the road on portions of meat and noodle. The appetizer also came out with our main meal which is very typical but when I asked for small plates to eat the rolls, they never brought them. It was also quite pricey for the appetizer special ($14) for 3 rolls cut into 6 pieces. Nothing notable. When we were ready to leave, it did start to get busier and then we couldn't flag anyone down to bring us a to go box or the bill. After leaving with an $80 bill for 3 people, for 3 bowls + 1 appetizer I just felt very meh. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't return and didn't find it worth any sort of value for what I paid. read more
