Also, there isn't a sign in sheet, so just wait lol. The people who work there are very fast. They have a lot of options on the menu, so I tried the beef ball and wagyu pho. It had a really good flavor without adding anything to it when I tried the broth. The egg rolls were average size, but I would ask them if they could cut it up before bringing it to the table because they come out hot. The vibe is fast paced and clean. We've been coming to Pho Kim Long for a while and recently came back for lunch during the week. The food is still very good and the prices are quite reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. The restaurant was crowded when we visited, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Even with how busy it was, the staff remained attentive and we didn't feel overlooked. The restaurant also has a nice, updated feel and the decor makes the space more pleasant and comfortable than your typical busy pho spot. One thing I noticed compared with our previous visits is that the menu seems much more simplified now, with fewer choices than before, making ordering easier. Plus their new Vietnamese coffee is a must try!! Overall, still a solid Vietnamese restaurant with good food, attentive service even when busy, nice decor, and reasonable prices. We shared the grilled fish with vermicelli, clear noodle soup with seafood & meat, filet mignon rice plate, and bbq chicken and egg roll with vermicelli. Have been a long time customer! My go to item is three Chicken Pho. Their soup is just so delicious and comforting. Their customer service has improved immensely throughout the years. The hot sauce packet phase because of COVID rules was a struggle for a spicy addict like myself. Very satisfied when the hot sauce bottle return! It's the small things. I came here to eat dinner with my mom. We got the grilled fish dish as you get the rice wrapper, lettuce wraps, all the ingredients you need to make a fish roll. The fish were overly crunchy this time. My elderly mom had a hard time chewing a bit. This is my second time getting this dish. The first time I got half pork and half fish and didn't notice the fish being that crunchy before. This time is a bit overcooked, too crunchy my mom said. A bit disappointed. I ordered takeout from here, and I'm surprised to see their overall rating under 4 stars compared to all the other Vietnamese places I see. Pho Kim Long is located inside fairly nondescript strip mall. The front of the restaurant looked quite small to me, but it was actually very big and spacious inside with lots of seating. It was also quite modern and clean compared to what I expected based on the outside. There were a few tables outside (not sure if you can actually sit there), but I recommend sitting inside. Overall, we thought the food was fantastic. We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, and the grilled pork and egg roll with noodles. Everything tasted great even though it was takeout and eaten three hours after picking it up. The portions felt reasonable, and I really liked that they gave a good portion of protein with the pho, along with a good portion of vegetables. The egg rolls were packed separately which made them quite tasty (note the egg rolls have shrimp in case anyone is allergic). If you haven't tried it, it's well worth a visit. I went to pick up food about 30 minutes before they closed their lunch service, and there was plenty of seating and no lines. The broth was flavorful without being overly rich or oily like I expected after reading some reviews. I also appreciated that the broth wasn't too sweet, which seems to be the trend at a lot of pho spots lately. I'd give the pho a 3.5/5 overall. The main downside for me was that the noodles were a little overcooked and softer than I personally prefer, but the broth itself was quite good and definitely the highlight of the meal. A solid choice if looking for a comforting meal of pho in the winters. I liked their chicken pho so much that I dined here thrice in a month, thanks to the cold winter evenings. They have a plenty of tables for dine-in and I was honestly surprised that the tables were completely occupied on a Thursday evening. It seems to have been around for years but I was only recently introduced to it. It has now become one of my fav pho places in Milpitas. Their service is quick, staff is nice and the quality and taste of dishes is consistent. I tried their chicken pho and would recommend it. Since I am on a calorie deficit, I ordered their Kids' size Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and Goi Cuon (Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls). Both had a good amount of protein. The broth was flavorful, and the chicken was soft. I don't recommend squeezing too much lemon juice on the Pho because it will burn your throat for two days. I would add Hoisin and Sriracha mix, including a bit of basil and more bean sprouts. Goi Cuon was alright. I didn't enjoy the pork part since it was a bit dry, yet the peanut sauce was thick and not too salty. It took me a while to realize they renovated the restaurant with spacious booths since our last visit a decade ago. Our food arrived in under 15 minutes. They clean the tables right away after each customer leaves. You must go to the cash register to pay rather than ask a waitress to hand you the bill. The grilled fish & herbs comes on a sizzling plate with onions and other aromatics, as well as a huge plate of fresh veggies like lettuce, mint, thai basil, and cilantro. They also give you spring roll wrappers, vermicelli, 2 kinds of dipping sauces, and a crispy black sesame puff(?) that adds a nice crunch to your spring rolls. I REALLY loved this dish since everything was super fresh and you could choose what ingredients you'd like to add to your own roll. Both the grilled fish and marinated pork were well marinated, and there was a lot of protein considering the price point. Definitely worth it, and I think you can even share amongst 3 people.
