Pho Ha Noi is located in Milpitas. I heard that Pho Ha Noi had opened its 4th location (San Jose, Palo Alto and Cupertino). I had heard about these restaurants, and I finally decided to check them out. The Milpitas location is huge and very visually pleasing. The staff is dressed up in classic Vietnamese clothing, and they were very friendly and welcoming. Although the place was already busy, I was able to secure a table. The service was excellent as I was seated and handed the menus. I placed my order, and while waiting, took the time to take in the ambiance and observe the staff interactions with the customers. My food was soon brought to me. The staff checked on me regularly to refill my water and ask if everything was alright. The Pho was excellent. The Beef Short Rib was delicious and filling. I've been to the San Jose location a couple times, and it was my first time at this location last weekend. I prefer this location, because it was less busy and it looked really pretty. I came here with my family, and we had a total of 15 people. We came around 12:30pm, and there was no wait (love that). We were seated at two tables across from each other. Staff was very friendly and patient, especially given the amount of people we had. The interior is very nicely decorated. It's elegant and lively. It reminds me of somewhere you would go to get afternoon tea. Even though I was only able to admire it from afar, I love the plant/flower display in the center of the restaurant. I ordered the Mì Gà Rô Ti (Roasted Kui Fei Chicken Egg Noodle) and Vietnamese Egg Coffee. The portion was huge! I included a picture with my hand for comparison (disclaimer, I do have small hands). By the end of my meal, I felt like I barely made a dent in my dish. Anyway, it was really good. The noodles and chicken were seasoned well. I would definitely get this again. I thought the coffee was also very good. It was strong, just the way I like it. The egg added some creaminess and made it a little less bitter. The drink overall wasn't too sweet, which I liked. I ordered the Ha Noi Special Rolls for the table. I liked this dish because it had three different kinds of spring rolls and sauces (I like my variety). I just want to point out that my partner and I absolutely LOVE Pho Ha Noi and have gone to three of their locations (Vietnam Town, Cupertino and Milpitas)- all locations have their own charm however still maintained the same rich broth for their Pho bowls. I have gone to the Milpitas location twice now and honestly, it still lives up to their reputation of friendly service and quick and yummy food. Despite us coming on a Saturday around 12:30-1, we were able to be quickly seated. The vibes of the restaurant was casual elegant (?) if I could describe it- it was spacious and we were able to keep to ourselves without having to listen in on our neighbors' conversations. We were able to get our food in less than 10 minutes after ordering with our waiter - who was very informative and made sure we were situated. My usual go to here is the pho beef combination and my partner usually gets the pho with flap meat and oxtail. Their nem nuong cuon was good and a staple for my partner and I when visiting, but we also tried the fried fish sauce chicken wings the second time around. My family and I visited Pho Ha Noi for lunch. Our first impressions were positive, the ambiance and service were excellent, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The restaurant was clean and spacious, making it suitable for hosting both family meals and business lunches. I ordered the Pho Special and was impressed by the variety and quantity of meat cuts. The dish included tai, nam flank, tendon, rib, and beef meatballs. However, the soup base was mediocre, lacking in beef broth flavor. Too much MSG was used to compensate for the lack of depth in pho broth. The pho looked so good with the scallions and meat cuts. The fried chicken plates were also heavily seasoned with MSG. I think MSG can be a good flavor enhancer, but it should not be the main seasoning because the dish becomes too salty and the real flavor of the dish turns muted. Lots of potential for Pho greatness. I hope there's a more balanced approach to seasoning which would significantly improve the quality of their food. read more

I haven't had great experiences at other Pho Ha Noi's but this time was different! The ambiance of this location feels very spacious and new inside, and the servers were very nice. Food: 1. This was my first time trying the Milpitas location of Pho Hanoi. Happy to say that the food here is just as good as the food at the Cupertino location. This location, however, is bigger and more upgraded. Casual ambiance with lots of families. We were quickly greeted, sat down, and were given menus and lemon water. While service was quick, we were mistakenly given the wrong number of utensils and waters twice. I ordered a small bowl of pho with fresh noodles. Delicious. The soup was piping hot. The bowl was very small though, so keep that in mind when you order your food. I might opt for the large size next time. Perhaps I'm too used to eating at Phoholic in SoCal so I was totally expecting the pho to come with a side of raw onions, which is commonly eaten with Northern style pho like Pho Hanoi offers. First time to this location but Ive been to the SJ location many times. This place recently opened and we're so glad bc it's a lot closer to us than the one in SJ. Closed 2:30-5 every day and closed Tuesdays. This location is decorated nicely. There's a little flower area by the front, nice for photos, and the tables and chairs are kind of traditional but elegant at the dame time. The tables are kinda small though. One table for 2 barely fit 2 bowls of soup and the Ha Noi 3 roll combo. Their pho broth is as good as ever! My boyfriend likes fresh noodles, I thought it was a little mushy but he likes it like that. Their sauce comes already prepared on a small plate with hoisin and sriracha. Despite reviews saying don't get it, I got the Bun Bo Hue. I think I'll pass next time. It wasn't as spicy as I was expecting and the broth didn't have as much flavor. Definitely not their specialty. I'll stick to pho here! Service was pretty good. One thing they focused on was making sure our waters were filled all the time. My sister and I finally got around to trying Pho Ha Noi in Milpitas. We arrived a little after noon and finding parking was a nightmare. After we found parking and walked in we were seated not long after. We ordered the combination beef pho and Vietnamese pork sausage rolls. The food came out pretty quick. The broth was flavorful and delicious. My sister enjoyed the pork sausage rolls but I thought they were just alright. The service was good. Once we were done eating the waitress came over to us and we were able to pay and leave within 5 mins. The restaurant is quite spacious and really cute inside. Would I be back? Possibly. I've been to the other Pho Ha Noi locations (SJ + Cupertino), and wow this one is probably the most spacious and decorated one I've been to! This one definitely feels more elevated. My go-to order is typically the Pho Tai Chin, but for this visit, I shared a few items with a friend! What we ordered: - Ha Noi Special Rolls: This is a great shareable appetizer to share with another person since you can each evenly try each of the three spring rolls from the appetizers! My personal favorite is the pork sausage roll since it comes with a wonton strip in the middle, so yummy and crunchy. They also provide three different types of dipping sauce which is great for those who loves sauce. - Vietnamese Beef Stew (Bo Kho): So flavorful, and the beef is very tender- it literally can fall off the bone. Not the usual pho restaurant. We usually go to the Pho Ha Noi in Cupertino who were on the news last year for automatic charging 18% tip even for one person. This branch does not do that and in fact gave me an option for 15% tip. Today, due to grand opening with fancy decorations in the front, they were giving out free dessert (berry yogurt). I like this better than the San Jose location. In comparison in SJ it's been saltier versus my first time experience at Milpitas is more aromatic. Returned to try their rice plate and to dine in. The Korean bbq plate was pretty good. Thick cut of short ribs. Perfectly grilled with the smoky char flavor along with sweet and salty taste. Meat was juicy too. The roasted Kui Fei Chicken was just ok. The chicken itself needed some seasoning or maybe needs a stronger marinade. It came with tomato rice. The Sizzling steak was pretty good. Was served with sweet soy sauce flavored gravy. This was better than the chicken. Steak was tender. Was also served with pate and baguette and fries. Tried the Hanoi Special rolls which came with the pork & shrimp spring roll, nem nuong roll and grilled pork roll. Nem nuong was the best of the three. Food came out quickly which was nice given we ordered quite a bit. The dining area was nicely laid out and spacious, and clean. Nicely decorated. Staff were nice. Clean restroom, too.
