Came here on a Sunday around 6pm no wait to be seated. Parking in tbe back. Big inside plenty of seating a bit outdated. Yes they had restrooms. Customer service was friendly. Ordered the thai tea it was great and the brisket pho it was good. The meat could've been a bit more tender and the broth was good wish it had a deeper flavor. All in all for taste to price good for a one time try.

Some of the best pho I've ever had. Flavorful broth that I didn't have to spend time doctoring up. My steak and brisket pho wad chock full of meat. The ladies that helped me were super nice. Service was quick. No complaints!

Loved that this place reopened. But, I was surprised with the meals that I got. I feel like recipes have changed? Could be just me. My pho broth was so salty. I didn't even need to add hoison sauce due to the broth being already salty. I'm so used to having pho broth being plain and, in a way, fresh. The spring rolls were mainly greens (lettuce and/or cabbage). Barely any vermicelli noodles and shrimp inside, all I was biting into was the lettuce. I did enjoy my meal regardless. Service was amazing, I came at 10am (opening) and was served right away. Friendly and nice staff. Glad to see the layout inside is the same, points for familiarity.

A few months ago I noticed this location reopened. I placed a delivery order a couple of times. Both times were pretty good so I was curious to go in person and get the whole experience. Let me start by saying that the customer service is 100/10. The servers were so lovely. Supper attentive. They answered all of my questions and were friendly, happy, with a smile on their face the whole time. I had some pho, egg rolls, plain noodles, and a thai iced tea to go. Everything was sooo Good! I really loved the atmosphere, very family friendly. They had the Dodgers game showing which was a huge plus. They also sell beer. I had not been to that location for a few years when they were under different management, and now that I had such a pleasant experience I am definitely looking forward to go back.

I was so sad when Pho Daily had closed but was simultaneously thrilled to discover a new Pho restaurant had taken over its place. I find it almost difficult to find a Pho spot with a good broth but fortunately for me, Pho Express offers a really delicious broth. I've visited multiple times now since they've first opened 2 months ago and I've had great experiences so far. The rare steak pho is perfection asides from the minor critique of the meat being slightly too thick. I can overlook the thicker meat though as the rich broth is what's essential for me. In fact, I could literally drink the broth alone and be satisfied lol. The ambiance remains laidback and perfect for a date night or dinner with the family. Service is also friendly and speedy. If you're looking for a simple no-frills establishment that offers delicious pho, you've found the right place. Pho Express is where it's at. Support your local businesses! :)

I recently attended with my friends and we really enjoyed this place! Huge shoutout to our server -- managing our table of 10 during the lunch rush is no small task, but they did it with a smile the whole time. Orders came out fast, everyone got exactly what they wanted, and they made us feel totally taken care of. The pho was so rich in flavor but the egg rolls were the star of the show! The Vietnamese iced coffee with super strong and bitter if you like that, it wasn't my cup of tea.

Gross old little bit of basil they told me was "packed fresh with the order". The jalapeños and lime were slimy. 3. Pho Filet Mignon

Quick service and portions here are irregular but mostly good. I know it's just a topping but I've never gotten fresh basil with a to go order. This basil might have been packed last year. I've asked about it several times I've ordered here and it's always bad. I called again to let them know they really need to check it before and they told me they asked the kitchen and they said it's was "freshly packed just now with the order" okay I tried to be nice but what a lie and this is officially exhausting. I'm tired of no basil and old bean sprouts with my pho. I'm going up the street in the future.

My entire childhood this place was a Mexican restaurant. Hadn't been back in the area for years. My daughter called me up and asked about going to dinner. We both asked what we were feeling and after a small conversation she said she wasn't feeling very well and was thinking soup so I went to work. Pho it is if that's what my baby girl wants. Found this spot and was pleasantly surprised finding that my childhood spot had changed. The place was clean the staff was amazing and the food was great. The broth was spot on plenty of sides. We also went with a bbq pork sandwich and it also was worth mention. Overall sad to see the Mexican restaurant gone but glad to see they filled the spot with good quality food and employees.

Saw it was under new management so we tried it again, greeted with a smiling server. A little too warm for the climate . But the Pho flavors and the service is beyond so much better. Plenty of room for huge parties if needed. Service was so great. Definitely recommend.

Very pleased I found this pho place in Long Beach, well North Long Beach. We were looking for a pho place in DTLB but didn't want to go to the only one there because it wasn't good so we were willing to drive out. To our surprise, this pho place satisfied our cravings! I was told they were opened about 4 months ago. We got confused when we came in, thinking we accidentally went to a Mexican restaurant but it is indeed a pho place and I love that!!!!! All the staff were super nice and the food was so good! Pho was spot on and my coworker's eggrolls smelled delish and she finished them all! I also love their fish tank in the middle of the place! Will def come back to try more dishes! Highly recs!

I came here on a weekend night, and it was packed, but with minimal wait. Ever since I visited Cambodia, I have been craving the Cambodian-style fried calamari, so I made sure to get that as a starter. The calamari was perfectly fried with its light batter, and then the fish oil and salt/pepper seasonings were spot on. I also got their Boat Noodle, and that hit the spot. It was spicy and refreshing, and all the meats were so tender. The noodles were the right texture too. I am so hoping to visit more to try even more of their menu--definitely give Monorom a visit if you are in the area!

The dining room is modest in size, but the warmth of the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff immediately make the experience inviting. Everyone was genuinely friendly and clearly proud of the food they served. The menu leans heavily into comforting Cambodian stir-fry, and you can taste the care behind each dish. Here are some of the dishes I have tasted so far. Steak with Anchovies - 4.5/5. What truly surprised me was the Steak with Anchovies. I have to admit that the dish wouldn't have been my choice, given the name on the menu. However, the owner highly recommended it, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The NY steak was grilled beautifully, sliced, and served alongside a vibrant salad and an anchovy-based paste mixed with onions, Asian eggplants, scallions, and pickled vegetables. The steak had the perfect level of char and smokiness while remaining tender inside. What made the dish memorable was how well the anchovy mixture complemented the meat. The flavors were bold and savory without becoming overpowering, allowing both the steak and the salad's freshness to stand out. It was layered, balanced, and unexpectedly addictive. Sweet & Sour Fish - 4.5/5. Another standout dish is the Sweet & Sour Fish. A whole fish is breaded, deep-fried until crisp, and topped with a house-made sweet-and-sour sauce. The contrast between the fish's delicate softness and its crunchy exterior was already excellent, but the sauce elevated everything. You could immediately tell it was made fresh rather than poured from a prepackaged supplier bottle. The sauce had real texture and depth from ingredients like peppers, onions, and scallions. It struck that ideal balance of sweetness, acidity, and savoriness while bringing enough complexity to keep every bite exciting. Sauteed Watercress - 4/5. Even though the menu says "watercress," this isn't the conventional watercress you get at Whole Foods or other SoCal supermarkets. This is water spinach or morning glory (in S.E. Asia, it is also known as kangkong or ong choy). This is a very popular dish in S.E. Asia, stir-fried with dry shrimp paste, garlic, and chillis. And Monorom delivers an excellent dish. The water spinach came out cooked but still crunchy, and the sauce has the right flavor notes that let the aromatic flavors shine without overpowering the dish. Rice Roasted Pork - 3/5. I found the crispy pork to be decent overall. The pork itself was a bit dry for my taste. Still, thankfully, the accompanying sauce carried the dish nicely, adding enough richness and flavor to balance things out. Overall, Monorom feels like the kind of neighborhood restaurant people become loyal to. The food is soulful, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared, and the hospitality makes the experience even better. Some dishes may resonate more than others, but when they hit, they really hit.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. The broth is clean, rich, and balanced--not greasy, not salty--perfect for a cold, rainy Long Beach day on the Cambodia side of town. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed.
