My extended family introduced us to this awesome Vietnamese noodle spot. At first, the prices on the menu seemed a bit high, but when the food arrived, we were blown away! We arrived at about 7pm on a weekend and we were the only customers. A short while after we sat down, another party came and a to go order did a pick up. Not much business. Tax included in the prices listed on the menu which is nice. Food is pretty good. Tried their pho and rice dishes. Customer service was ok. Outside patio available. We sat outside since it had a nice breeze and inside was hot and muggy. What I didn't appreciate was the server took a break and started smoking and watching videos on his phone in the patio where we were sitting and eating. The older gentleman that works there is very nice and accommodating but the middle age man seemed less receptive and not too friendly. We got the pho and ox tail thick rice noodle soup. You can tell it's run by Vietnamese owners the moment you walk in. Came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and place was pretty empty. Service was great! Menu is not as extensive as other places but they have all the Phos you need or would order. I got a regular pho and my partner got a XL pho. Flavor is good. Broth was clean. Service is pretty transactional like many Asian owned restaurants in the 626. You order what you want, flag them down when you need something, and you pay up in the front once you're done eating. Don't expect small talk which is nice sometimes when I just want to sit down and eat. The restaurant itself isn't the cleanest, but there's free parking in the lot. I decided to be different today as when I saw people sitting outside I quickly turned the car around and chose Pho Thanh to be my choice of lunch that day. Going with the whole "be different" thing, I saw they had wonton noodle soup and it's weird because usually it's only at Chinese restaurants. When I got it, it was piping hot, the aroma was that of a great soup base(obviously not as flavorful in comparison to pho) and the presentation was nice. Well, biting into those egg noodles, MAN! Those were some high quality egg noodles. I took a sip of the soup and MAN! That was a good soup. Okay now for the wontons, it wasn't overcooked to where the wonton wrapper fell apart, bit into the wonton and SHAZAM! That was a good wonton! I know why it took a while to make it and I'm sure that the wontons are made to order. I added the bean sprouts to mine as they brought out a dish, idk if it's normally offered but I just added it in as to not waste it. The bean sprouts kinda altered the soup base a bit so I advise that if you order the wonton noodle soup, to just have it as is and maybe at most only adding soy sauce for extra flavor. Finally, we decided to go in during lunch time to see the difference between them and a nearby pho place. The vibe was weird when we walked in. Don't come to this store for pho! I learned about this restaurant thru DoorDash and had placed order for their beef bowls for more than 5 times now since last year! The owner was pretty friendly, gave me a buy 10 get 1 free stamp card twice and would stamp every time I was here. Today I had a promotion from DoorDash again, so I chose here. I admitted the stamp was one of the motivation, but also because I was driving home. The lady Ms. Luu was so rude. She probably was surprised I ordered a bowl and a Thai tea for only $10.99 total. I got her hint, she thought the stamp could be fake on my card. She also replaced my card while she kept yapping nonstop to me about how bad the deal was, DoorDash is charging them 20% fee blah blah blah while I assured her I ordered an extra drink to use this promotion because it had a $12 charge request! Last week, I only got a pho with a herbal tea which I paid around $8.50 after discount! What else could she ask when the company decided to hook with DoorDash so the restaurant can get another customer??? I took a deep breath and backed to my car to see the soup base was overfilled that I wouldn't able to add noodles nor meats. The meats were not well done but half raw, plus the Thai tea was spilled all over inside the plastic bag!
