Got the number 5 on the menu which had tendon,brisket, ribeye, and tripe. I liked everything except the brisket. The brisket was really dry even inside the soup. The broth itself was not bad but the portions were a little small. Maybe its cause i didnt get the stone pot? I was still feelimg hungrh after finishing all the noodles. The restaurant was also a little hot inside. Their bo-ne smelled amazing though. I saw someone at another table get it. If i come back id try that one.
So happy to find a place that serves pho and other food , I never been a big fan of pho but I do have friends that love pho so now I can come here order that saltado shaken Fries , they have a variety of drinks , plenty of parking
They have a parking lot. It was easy to find parking. Came on a weekday when they opened. Got the Hot Stone Ribs and regular pho. The broth was very salty. The ribs were very dry and flavorless. Would not come back.
Came here twice but don't think I'll be coming back! Food: Everything was mediocre at best. The pho lacked flavor. The bean sprouts looked old. The Bo Ne (steak breakfast dish) was awful. The steak did not look like steak when I cut it... the meat quality was just not great. I got the runs after eating that dish. I'm unsure if it was the salad that gave me it or what! My friend also thought the pho was mediocre. Service: They were not that attentive. I feel like I had to flag people down for things after I ordered initially. They were nice though! Parking: Free parking lot outside! Lots of space! Overall: Because it gave me the runs, I will not be returning. I don't think the ingredients were that fresh and the soup is a bit bland compared to other pho spots I've been to. The workers were nice, that's why I gave 2 stars. Free water is provided. Usually it isn't packed (after coming here twice).
Hot Stone Pho definitely lives up to its name. Glad it did too because that evening I dropped in for some Pho, it was definitely Pho weather. At least it was for me. There's a parking lot here. And pretty open. But I don't know if I'd want to see what it's like on a weekend or weekend evening. Especially with the Da Vien in the same lot. And some other restaurant. At least I think it was - I didn't look. Free too. I didn't see any signs listing restrictions. Also, I didn't look. Walked in and the place was empty with the exception of one party (of two). So, that made for excellent and quick service. All the staff had to do keep a line of sight with the area where they were seating the guests and walk over every once in a while. My order came out fast. That worked for me too though because I was also famished. Check out the pics and one clip and you'll see it come out boiling hot with all the ingredients on the side for me to drop into the broth at will. Broth was piping hot; ingredients (portion size) was decent - I'd love more onions - will ask next time and it wasn't too sweet. I don't know if I did it wrong - I just dumped everything in and let it cook for a little while. The broth stayed hot until I was finished. Hot enough that I didn't pick up the stone bowl and put my lips on it to sip the bowl clean. I wanted to but so didn't want to burn my lips. It wasn't scalding hot but definitely hot enough to deter me. Anyway, it was a good experience and I've added this place to my "'I'll be back" list. Just don't know what I'll order next time or if I'll hit one of the other locations.
Overall: Food was just "ok", service was extremely slow and food came out slow since they forgot about our order. Prices are pretty high for pho so I wouldn't come back here again. I would give it 3/5 stars due to "ok" food and mediocre service. The Service: We came on a Monday around 6:20 pm for dinner. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken relatively fast. However, we waited awhile for our food. Our appetizers took around 15 minutes to come out and then our food came about 30-40 minutes after that. It turns out the waitress had lost our ticket so there was a delay in our food getting made. The staff are not very attentive so we have to call out to them to get their attention. One of our party members asked for a free noodle refill and they forgot about it so we had to ask for it a second time before we got it. We had also asked for the vinegar onions as well but they forgot about it and everything took so long to come out so I didn't bother asking them again. The poor service is the reason why I had to dock a full star since it was frustrating to see other diners who came after us being served their food. The Food: We all ordered either #4 or #5 of the premium pho option which had different types of meat. The pho broth was a bit too fatty and seemed kind of bland - especially when eating it with the noodles. I prefer pho from other places. Price: There was a monday special going on so it was $10 per bowl of pho. However, the pho is normally $15 as the regular price. If you want the oxtail or short rib pho or the pho in the hot stone, the price is upwards of $18-$20 which is quite pricey for pho in my opinion. I wouldn't have gone here unless there was the deal. The Atmosphere: Very bright restaurant with plenty of seating. The restaurant can accommodate large groups if needed. This is more of a casual place to dine. Parking: There is a parking lot but it tends to be crowded since it shares the lot with Da Vien and Bake & Che. There is some street parking.
I think there is a reason behind why this place is called Hot Stone Pho. The broth at this place is still steeaaaming hot while it's served in a clay pot. I've never seen another pho place serving the broth this hot. It's still steaming as in broth still swirling when served. Don't burn your fingers or your tongue! It really takes awhile before it cools down. Part of the reason may be cooking the thin slices of meat that comes with it. Every ingredient is served separately. And you'll put it together yourself similar to a shabu place. I've tried their Oxtail Pho and their Bone Ribeye Pho. The proportions are huge. Quite a bit of Oxtail served with the pho, as it's already cooked. The same with the Bone Ribeye Pho. It's also already cooked and served on a separate plate just like everything else. Other items besides the thin meats served are cut meatballs, too, with your choice of thick or thin noodles, along with bean sprouts, mint bay leaves, chili peppers, are all included. Other items is the menu are egg rolls, spring rolls, rice dishes, and some Vietnamese drinks including salted plum with club soda, and Viet coffee as well. I have yet to try other items in the menu. But so far enjoy the drinks and their spring rolls as well. Service is a hit or miss during the day. But the waiters are very courteous. The ambiance is very casual. Just a regular storefront with fluorescent lighting and tile floors. Not flashy at all. You'll just come for a meal without much thought besides figuring out what you want to eat. Lol. Parking can be an issue even there's a parking lot which they share with two other popular Vietnamese places. So the lot can be filled. I would definitely come back here when convenient. It's kind of out of my area even though it's still in the San Gabriel Valley.
Came on Monday 12/08/2025 for lunch and it was very spacious. Service: quick, nothing to complain about. Within 10 minutes, my table was filled with side veggies and my entree of piping hot pho. Food: the broth has a deep meaty flavor which is a great sign. Please be aware that it is SIZZLING when it reaches the table. I ordered the "Hot Stone Pho" and it comes with a warning to not touch the stone pot. They are not joking! This is perfect for a winter lunch or dinner. It stays hot for quite a while so you don't have to worry about the quality being affected as you chit chat with your friends. The only issue I can see is that they have to share the parking lot with about 9 other businesses and the exit is a right-turn only exit. Meaning if you ever want to turn left, you'll have to find a side street and do a u-turn. Plenty of parking on the side streets, though. I'd say the best option is to avoid the parking lot altogether as it's also quite small. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try the other dishes. They advertise their dry vermicelli platter and I was very close to getting that instead. However, I decided to settle with what they named their store after: Hot Stone Pho.

It was perfect for a cold rainy night. The portion was very generous and you very to choose thin or thick noodles. I was glad my husband and I shared. The Soft Shell Crab Bao was tasty, too. I wasn't sure what to expect and it was actually good. The presentation was different but the individual crabs was perfect textured. I will definitely come back.

A perk? you can door hop over to Da Vien for coffee, Bake & Che for dessert pick up, or the baguette place in the plaza for some baguette, bao, or other quick pick up snacks
I was bummed out when All In Crab was replaced but this is my new favorite pho spot within the area! The service is always very attentive and friendly. Their broth is very flavorful and doesn't leave you parched afterwards. I'm always basic and get their Bo Vien but they also have very tender tai nam and rib bones. Check in on Yelp or their Facebook for a free drink!
Came here for lunch and there was no wait, which was nice! Service was friendly and food came out quick. Their fries were really addicting! Someone got the hot stone pho with the big ribs in it and said it wasn't worth it because the bone gets in the way and if you're trying to eat fast, hot stone is not for you because it's piping hot even after an hour! I got the steak & eggs and that was so damn good because you get to build your own sandwich with the pate, steak, and eggs! Comes with a side salad and whole load of banh mi bread. I would come back to try their regular pho and more fries!
Always looking for good phõ place in the SGV area since the restaurant Phõ Bò Gà went out of business. Saw this from an influencers so we went and give it a try. The lunch special of $18.95 includes Houst Hot stone pho, 2 egg rolls and a drink. The broth came out boiling hot, a tray of special meats and a bowl of rice noodles. By the time we add in all the meats, the broth cooled down a bit compares to a hot boiling bowl of pho. The broth was okay tasting and plenty of meats. Nothing spectacular but it will do if you don't want to jot down to little Saigon. The services was good and the place is quite cleaned.

Their name explains what they're known for, pho served in a hot stone bowl. They have regular pho, and other rice dishes with appetizers too, but the hot stone is their specialty. I always get their Hot Stone Special: ribeye, brisket, beef, balls, tendon and tripe, all served on the side, so it won't overcook in the hot broth. Noodles are also served on the side as the hot stone bowl maintains the heat in the broth. For $19. You do get a decent amount of proteins and they even offer refills on noodles. To our surprise, they've been running a promotion where the order includes two fried eggrolls and a passionfruit drink. Call or ask before you order to make sure they still have it. The promotion runs on weekdays until 4 PM, I believe. The space is bright and spacious for a pho place. Service is consistently good and the food usually arrives fast. There is a shared parking lot with other businesses so you may get lucky find a spot or might have to drive around a bit during weekends. read more

I was excited to try this with my family. They mentioned the service and food was good on their last visit. I already had a bad taste in my mouth when two staff members stood there at the counter, zero smiles and not even a "welcome" when we walked in. The only time I saw one of them smile was when they saw an employee come in later. The food was okay, there is a lot of competition in SGV so I didn't see anything unique with the pho tai. Prices are reasonable. Place is clean and plenty of parking. I would have considered returning back but they aren't helpful, not friendly and I hope they don't slip wearing thong slippers. Ordered the following: 1. #1 Hot Stone: kept the noodles and broth scolding hot and the meats were cooked instantly $19 2. Egg Rolls : decent with a side of sweet and spicy sauce instead of fish sauce. $10 No lines or waiting. Parking may be a little tricky. We enjoyed the THIC noodle pho read more

I love the concept of hot stone pho. All the meats were delish. I got the combo hotstone pho and it was very filling! They pre-cook the tripe, brisket, so you're just cooking the ribeye and dipping the toppings there. The noodles also come separately for you to put inside. A+ for presentation! The inside was a lot bigger than it looks! It was also clean! Staff was friendly! I would say what's lacking is the broth. It didn't have much of the pho flavor (perhaps needs more spices) or much of a beefy flavor. This was most disappointing because I was practically drooling when everything came out! Ask for extra onions on the side :) i hope they improve their broth because I would definitely keep coming back read more

Don't plan on visiting on a holiday(Presidents' Day), until they figure themselves out. Why are there so many open tables & no one getting seated?! They can sit everyone on the waiting list right now but they choose not to. There is only 2 staff waiting tables and the people seated have not even gotten their food for the past 30 mins. There is 4 confused people in the kitchen. Not sure if they're not ready for serving customers or they don't have enough hot stone bowls for their customers... it was a let down!! Staff have not come out to address customers standing. read more

Great stumble! I was looking for another restaurant but couldn't find it and decided to go here instead. I'm glad I did! Forgive for the pictures lol. I ordered the house rice which was big enough to feed 2 10/10 flavors were amazing. And the garlic chicken wings 10/10. The servicer was nice and the food came out fast and hot . Came to Hot Stone Pho for dinner on a Thursday night. Parking was easy, and we were seated right away since the place wasn't too busy. I ordered the beef short rib pho. The presentation was a highlight the hot stone bowl kept everything hot, and the broth came out sizzling. The beef ribs were tender and delicious. That said, the broth lacked the depth and richness I've come to expect from other pho spots in the area. Service left a bit to be desired. No one checked in on us during the meal, and our water bottle was empty for most of the time without any refills. All in all, it was an ok experience, but not memorable enough to make me want to return. The hot stone bowl is a cool concept, but beyond that, nothing really stood out. read more
Interesting Vietnamese restaurant in Rosemead with a good selection of Vietnamese food. Pho is the go to like the name says and you have a choice of thin or thick noodles. Always get the thick noodles as it's fresh and just better. And... to my surprise, they have a Saltado Shaken Fries and Rice dish. Lots of carbs but I am intrigued since I dig Peruvian food and want to come back to try that dish. They are next door to the new Bake & Che / Da Vien Coffee so I'm sure they will benefit from the crowds that come here for those two places. Check out my pics. read more

Okay, each time I come here, the food is still delicious but the service just gets worse. This time, no music or any audio was playing so it was very quiet. We asked for water and it took the guy 10 minutes and never got a refill. When it was time for the bill, he brought his portable payment machine and asked me about about a picture for a discount. I had no idea what he was talking about so I asked about it, but he said never mind and walked away. My table and I looked to one another, wondering what this discount may be. I felt bad introducing and recommending this place to come and eat. Also, in the past, they brought the bill to us with that portable machine like earlier; this time, they told us to pay at the register. What I ordered: - Hot stone pho special - Sizzling steak and egg (Bo ne) - Drink: Ice tea The Plate report: - The hot stone pho was indeed very hot. The pho came on the side and was easily cooked in the hot soup. The meat was also easy to cook. We do think there are better tasting pho soups out there in sgv. - Sizzling steak and egg was okay as well. There aren't many places in sgv that has sizzling steak plates. It comes with a side of banh mi and small salad. The salad was nice and refreshing to balance the saltiness from the meat and pate. Nice combo. Quick notes: - Parking: Very easy and free. Big parking lot. However, Da Vein and Bake & Che just opened so parking might be tougher now. - They accept credit cards. - They have a lot of tables and seats for large parties. Price point $$ - $15-30 Final Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Would return to try something else or the sizzling plate. read more
This place was so good and tasty! It's located in one of small Asian plazas on Garvey with plenty of parking. I ordered the saltado fillet mignon with the included shaken fries. I'm so glad I asked for the fries to be on the side. I will always request for lomo saltados with fries on the side going forward! I love the dish but always hate how the fries get soggy. The fries maintained its great crisp, and I added it with the sauce for my bites. Beef cubes were tender and juicy and everything was so flavorful! I'm drooling as I speak. Too bad it doesn't include the green sauce that some Peruvian or Viet restaurants has. We also had to get the special hot stone pho (it's part of the restaurant name!) I tried it and the broth was one of the best I've tried. It was huge portions and loved how it came with the bubbling hot stone pot with soup. The meat and everything was on a separate side plate to add in. Almost like DIY hot pot, but for pho. Garlic wings were also so garlicky and Yums! The drinks were really sweet though. I expected my milk tea to be darker in color, but it came out milky white. Was still decent but I'd skip it to try their viet coffee next time. They had a note at the cashier saying No internet and only Cash, Venmo or Zelle. Might've been a temporary issue but as a heads up, they may not accept credit card. A different approach to pho in a hot stone bowl. Definitely kept the broth hot for a while. The meats came in uncooked which reminded me of hot pot. Service was great. They gave my daughter (4 years old) a bowl of noodles for herself. Not sure we were charged but still a great gesture. The food came out quickly after we ordered. Went here on a Wednesday night so it wasn't as crowded. Service was pretty good and fast - Probably won't order the Steak and Egg again due to its sweetness but will go back to try other items :) read more
WARNING: Cash only or Zelle. Another reviewer posted the same situation I encountered. The cashier smiles and tells me that the credit card machine doesn't work due to the internet. They can only accept cash or Zelle. I see their Clover machine working properly and is syncing your Clover membership rewards phone number. They can ring up the invoice on the Clover machine too. If it was really broken, the server should have mentioned it before we sat down to order. A pho restaurant that is located in a strip mall that seems to be up and coming with a new Vietnamese cafe nearby. The food is okay and the ambiance feels like a food court restaurant (Spacious without any bells and whistle). The portions are smaller than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. read more
It was quiet when we were seated. After about 15 minutes later we ordered our food. I always order a variety when I try a new restaurant. The items I ordered was the stone pot special which has tripe, sliced beef, sliced brisket, meatballs served on the side of the piping hot stone pot pho soup with also pho noodles. You can throw everything in at once or eat as you go. To me the soup lacked flavor and the meats didn't exactly tasted that fresh. The cooked sliced brisket had an after taste that wasn't as appetizing as I liked. I ordered a side of the beef short rib and that wasn't as fresh either. Had a stale fried oil flavor to it. The winners for me personally was the garlic wings, popcorn chicken and the shaken beef with macaroni. The beef was tender and the noodle flavor was sweetly delicious. Those are the three items I would come back for. It's funny how the sides are better tasting than the main noodle soup dishes. I say pricing wise for the side dishes is reasonable which is a plus for me. Definitely pass on the pho here. There's many other nearby pho restaurants that are better. read more
Came here for lunch. We ordered the Saltado Shaken Fries - Rice and Fried Salmon Rice among other things. Highly recommend the Saltado. Fries were crispy. The beef was very juicy, tender, and flavorful; like filet mignon. The pho here is decent too. Staff speaks English; Good service. Good air conditioning on a hot day. Filtered water. Restaurant is clean. Easy to find parking as this plaza is still developing so lots of free, open parking. Highly recommend. read more

Let me tell you, parking here can be tough sometimes. I do recommend parking on the side street or the parking lot across the street. We decided to come eat here after our run club. Everyone got pho which was good and my bf also got the Saltado Fries which he had no complaints about. I also ordered the pork spring rolls. It was nice that they were able to remove the pork and just let it be shrimp. Other places don't but this shows that everything they make here is fresh. Caution - the peanut sauce comes hot! I was so shocked when I tried it haha. The ambiance and service of this place is good. They served us quickly and our food was nice and hot. read more

The thing I loved most about this restaurant was their service. The servers were so kind and patient. I'd definitely say their hot stone bowl is on the pricier side but their regular pho bowls are super cheap considering how clean and delicious it was! Their presentation of the food was really appealing as well. Their broth is super rich and if you ever need more flavor, they have sauces out for you to use. They have a variety of options as well ranging from appetizers, pho, rice dishes, spring rolls, and lots of drink options. The parking can get a little crowded but spots always open up. I would recommend coming here and of course, getting the pho! read more

Ordered the hot stone pho, and they had a special going on with free egg rolls and a passion fruit drink. The pho was flavorful, and the short rib was tender and fell off the bone. I will say the customer service was a bit slow, but you really can't beat the price for the portion size and overall quality. Will definitely be back again. read more

My kids were hungry and craving pho, so I took them to Hot Stone Pho tonight. Big place with plenty of seating but few customers. We got the Hot Stone Special, which included ribeye, brisket, beef ball, tendon, and tripe, as well as four Premium Pho. When the server served the Hot Stone Pho to our table, the quantity of the pho and other dishes was modest. The flavors of the Pho are just okay; nothing spectacular. Hot Stone Pho is not worth the price. You're paying more for a hot stone pot only to keep the Pho hot. If we return back, we will simply order the standard Premium Pho. read more
My second time here because I like it. Each time I ordered beef bone pho in the stone bowl which keeps it hot. The beef falls off the bone and is tasty. The pho noodles of choice is the large flat noodles and you'll get free refills with broth. I typically get three refills and I'll be satisfied. Service can be slow at times but there is at least three servers to wave at to get your condiments or drinks. The place has ample seating and parking with a security monitoring system outside which will tell you to leave the premise if you're loitering around outside too long. read more
