Great value for your dollar!! This cozy Vietnamese restaurant has an extensive menu but most people come here for the set family menu. For the price, you get so much food and the food is very good. Husband and I usually get the two-person set and we often can't finish the dinner set. Last time we came we decided to get a la carte items: vermicelli with grilled pork sausage and egg rolls plus a rice dish. My noodles came with very generous portions of grilled sausage (nem nuong) and egg rolls. They also give a complimentary dessert (Vietnamese che) after your meal. Overall, a good place for a quick lunch or dinner.

We always come here for their catfish set Menu. This is a pretty specific menu that isn't really offered elsewhere (that I know of). The meal starts with a salad of some sort (varies between jellyfish or a shrimp and pork), deep fried pomfret, braised caramel catfish (or pork) dish, Vietnamese tamarind soup with catfish, deep fried shrimp, and brined greens. Previously, you could refill the broth for the soup, but this may have been taken advantage of. You now can refill the broth for an additional cost. Always a satisfying meal.

Great price. Fast service... First time coming here and I'd come back again. Apparently it's been around for a few decades and very popular with families.

Used to come here a decade ago when it was super busy. Traditional Southern Vietnamese food. Ample free parking in the back. We had to exchange some "clean" dishes since they were dirty with food particles. Always get the Cơm Phần Gia Đình or Family Meal. We got the Cơm Phần 2 Người or Served 2 persons for $27. The Canh Chua Cá or Hot & Sour Fish Soup was very flavorful. The Cá Kho Tộ or Salted Fish in Clay Pot tasted great with the white rice. The Gỏi Sữa or Jelly Fish Sour Salad had no jelly fish, it had sliced pork. The Dưa Chua or Preserved Sour Vegetable was very tasty and crispy. We also got the Bò Lúc Lắc or Diced Beef Steak French Style for $11.95. Interesting the dish tasted sweet. We got a drink that was pretty good for about $4. They gave us complimentary desserts, which tasted similar to the drink. Overall, we would come back if we were craving traditional Vietnamese food.

What's up: Lunchtime with the coworkers! We were all hungry and trying to figure out where to go to eat and this place was suggested. Authentic Vietnamese food? Let's go!! Parking: Small parking lot in the back of the building that's shared among the nearby businesses. No issues finding a spot during weekday lunch hour. Environment: We parked in the back and walked in through the side entrance. There were booth seating as well as regular table/chair seating. No wait for us. Food came fairly quick. When finished with your meal, you'll pay at the counter. Restrooms are located to the right of the pay counter. What was ordered: - Family Meal for 4 people: Hot and Sour Soup with Catfish, Catfish in Clay Pot, Chicken Salad, Fried Shrimp, Preserved Sour Vegetable (everything was yummy. Loved the Catfish in Clay Pot and the Chicken Salad) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The food was good. I enjoyed trying the different food in the family meal and we had more than enough food for the group. It also comes with a bowl of dessert soup. Credit cards are accepted.

We ordered the combo from here that came with all the items you see in the photos, plus a side of eggroll. Price: 5/5 This place offers combo meals for two, four, six, and eight people. It is super affordable and very filling. I believe the four person combo is now around $46 which is about $12 per person. It comes with five dishes, a side of rice, and dessert at the end. I would recommend getting this over the individual orders. Food: 5/5 The food was bursting with flavor. My favorite was the thit kho (clay pot pork). The sauce was sweet, salty, and umami and it goes so well with a bowl of warm rice. The soup was very nostalgic for me because it reminded me of my mom's cooking. The egg rolls that we ordered on the side were crispy and flavorful as well. Finally, the salad was also a great contrast to the hearty meal. Service: 5/5 The service was amazing. The servers were really attentive and brough out extra chilis for us. They let us substitute some of the dishes. And the food came out quick. Ambiance: 4/5 This place is little hidden. The parking in the back is a little sketchy so we did street parking. But once you get inside, it looks like a cute ma and pa shop.

Jelly fish salad. Mostly cucumber and literally one sliver of a jellyfish.

Food- not worth your money. Check out our order of jelly fish salad in our photo. WTF. Called to ask if the order was just incorrectly prepared... waiter just said we only place a few pieces in it. Ok so call in shredded cucumber.... And lower the damn price or just say we don't sell it. It's the dishonesty that's not working for me. Literally one small one-inch of jelly fish. So bad. If you take out, you'll need to add ingredients to make it good. This place just doesn't care anymore.

We are back again. Thank goodness this unique Vietnamese restaurant is still open. I don't mind driving from Covina to Rosemead just to have a chance to eat the the delicious authentic home-cooked Vietnamese dishes nowhere to be found in LA county. My favorite to order is the $50.00 combo for 4 that comes with steamy rice, hot & sour soup with mix vegestables, choice of fish or shrimp, pork in claypot (kho to), fried crispy pompano fish , chicken salad, preserve sour vegestable salad. Of course I took home all left over food. Highly recommended. Try something unique and delicious.

This is authentic Vietnamese food even though it's being run by Chinese Vietnamese. We got a combo set for just my dad and I. The pricing is great too $27 for the fish soup, fish, chicken salad, pickled veggies and rice. The service is fast and food comes out fast as well. It's a small place but everything is great. I haven't been back here in a while, almost forgot about it. Glad I came back!

We come here for their Hủ tiếu Mỹ tho + tàu hũ ky. You HAVE to order it with a side of their tàu hũ ky (fried shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin). My mom and I go here once a month to fix our craving. The noodles are done perfectly. Some places make them way too vinegary. It comes with dried noodles but has soup on the side for you. They have a massive menu with items ranging from pho to 6 course family style meals. Its usually pretty empty when we come here. Service here is typical of a mom and pop shop. Don't walk in here expecting service you'll get from a fine dining place. Cash only. At the end of your meal they'll bring out a serving of viet dessert for free!

We were…read moreable to call ahead earlier in the morning and ask if we could be on the wait list or reserve a table. They told us they could reserve a table for us at 6pm. We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. We had so many leftovers! The food was all well prepared and sufficiently seasoned. Portions of each dish was plentiful and everyone will be able to get enough to satisfy. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Great restaurant in the SGV. This location is much bigger than their Rowland Heights restaurant, but the food is exactly the same. This is a great alternative to the popular Newport Seafood, so don't sleep on this place!

Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.

Of all the Vietnamese sour soups we've had, this place was the best. It is like a savory version of a lemonade, where the sourness and sweetness is extremely intense, but perfectly balanced. I've tasted all sort items from this restaurant, from quail, to frogs, to snails, to cat fish, and everything has been executed to maximize the taste of the ingredient and sauce. Fish dishes would first be soft, flakely, moist, buttery, and then after the textures, you get hit with the intensities of the sauces. They tasted great, but the texture was a bit off since they came out floppy instead of crispy. Overall, this is still the best skewer spot I've been to. Great flavors, solid execution, and definitely worth coming back for.
